Salt peet get distracted by some of the glow bugs flying about, wondering what it is thats make them glow. The temperature is cool but pleasant and everyone gets a solid rest. Just as the sun begins to peak over the trees and you all begin to awaken, there is aloud crashing sound that echos through the woods, like trees being torn asunder.
Salt Peet will give an alarm in case everyone didnt notice the noise. “ ahh! Big pig must be moving in the north, breaking forest bad, it sounds.”
Salt Peet is ready for action to get the meats and the moneys
Edena wakes up quickly, grabbing her armor and weapons and strapping them on quickly. She then grabs her pack and swings it on, all the while watching for anything nearby. She whispers harshly "How far away do you think it is? Are we in imminent danger?" She takes a quick look around to see if everybody else is ready, before standing off to the side ready for anything to come close. When everyone is ready to move, she'll take the last place in line.
Chankla would quickly wake up before the alarm, he had sensitive hearing and would be clenching his dagger. He would look around not moving or making a sound.
Erdon at the camp notices the kenku and says nonchalantly, "He no problem, Julius. We are all friends here."

Erdon wakes at the noise surprised he slept through the night, "Thanks folks but I'm more than happy to join any of the watches. Just pair me with any of you to help out. What.....You think it's the big pig? I'll get ready. DeDe guard the group."
Erdon gets up and gathers his stuff up to move out or prepare for an assault.

Jason greets everyone, in turn. He wasn't expecting to meet others, out here, although, when he thinks about it, from his soldiering days, it does make sense that adventurers would be out and about. There was often a lot of debate between the various army posts, the guards, and the navy docks, as to why would adventurers even be needed, with all of them. He never really had an issue, as he felt people should be inclined to follow whatever pathway they or the gods deemed.
In his early days, a snake would made him queezy. However, after a couple of years in the life of a solider, while he still doesn't prefer it, he knows one doesn't turn down safe food. Rations are just that, for when you have no other choice. He's not sure how he feels about being with this mixed lot. However, since he needs to lay low, and gather information, this would be a suitable way to accomplish both. The numbers will help, and he won't have to worry about potential hostiles while he sleeps...something he hasn't had much of, in the last few days.
"Let me know where you want this ole polearm master solider to be. I can take point--no pun intended!--or I can be rear guard, in case of while we're hunting, we don't suddenly become the hunted."
The Rock gnome Erdon greats Jason and bows to the indivdual. "Well met friend. We've got a ranger up front already so perhaps rear guard would be most helpful kind sir."
Chankla would follow close behind Erdon and would accidentally bump into them.

"I've been meaning to find a moment to chat with you. You seemed apprehensive to mingle at first. I just wanted you to know I am ok with all races as long as they are not evil. I trust you are not looking to hurt any of us?"
Erdon pauses for response and to gauge the individual's response

Edena calls to Jason "Yeah, come join me in back. We have enough people to have a double lookout. Plus, you seem like quite the traveler, and I would like to get more caught up on how the world is going nowadays. Been on the small town circuit for a little while now."
Dungho dave with take the front. After consultation with Salt Peet as to the direction he would lead everyone up the northern split in the trail and keeping eyes and ears open for any indication of the beast .
The party moves up the northern trail. Like before, the trail begins fairly wide into a more narrow trail suitable for foot traffic rather than horse or wagon. Salt Peet sniffs the air trying to catch the boar scent and peers into the dark woods, thankful for the lack of strong sunlight, which always hurts his eyes.
The dense trees make it difficult to see any animal trails, but after about an hour of careful walking, looking, hearing and sniffing of the air, Dungho Dave finds where the huge beast crossed over the road and through the trees towards the north east. It left a large path of destruction that should be easy enough to follow.
A young looking wizard enters town wearing a floppy hat. He heads straight to the Magic Shop with a full bag of gold coins, hoping to find buy some scrolls.

"Hello good shop keeper, I am known as Eldrin the Wanderer. You have some fine things in this shop. However, the magic items that I hope to acquire are of a more common fare. Can I take a look at your Spell Scrolls?"
The shop keeper opens several scroll cases to show a number of cantrip and 1st level spell scrolls, that are for sales. "Fine, fine, yes. I'll take two of each: False Life, Mage Armor, and Magic Missile"
With a handshake and a nod, the transaction is complete and Eldrin saunters out of the shop and into the town. He finds himself in the " The Flatulent Marionette.” tavern staring at the job board.

Without thinking he grabs the bill and marches out of the front door.
And begins looking for his quarry. Walking past some slow moving zombies and some bored looking skeletons, he goes deeper than he probably should, into the forest of wonders and finds a ghast.
Without hesitation, he launches a fire bolt at the ghast from 100-120 feet away.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The ghast took 2 fire damage in the first round and 2 more fire damage in the second round. It will dash in an attempt to close the distance, now about only 10 feet away from the wizard.
Eldrin screams, not truely understanding his situation, as the noise may attract others that are currently in the forest of wonders. Due to his concentration on the spell expeditious retreat, he is able to use a bonus action to dash 60 ft away from the ghast (70 feet away).
Realizing that he's in over his head, he desperately casts another cantrip, fire bolt at the ghast (70 ft)
