There is one trader able to sell off a rather decent blanket for Britari for just a couple silver and a bit of conversation. Razzak is happy to see Faith and wishes her well. The jungle is indeed alive as usual when you leave Greenbriar, but as you start getting closer to where the Vile Hunt makes camp, the noise gets decidedly less. The smell of charred meat fills a disorderly camp hidden between tangled woodlands and a rugged cliff. Bedrolls, cages, and drying racks with stretched animal skins cluster around smoldering bonfires. At the camp’s rear, a filthy tarp covers a large cage.
(If you're sneaking up, make stealth checks, and don't forget Pass Without a Trace!)
Britari quickly purchases a blanket, folds it up, and stuffs it into her pack. She then follows along with the others. "Shall we quietly get closer and see if we can learn more?" she asks. (Stealth: 28)
Eithne also embraces the cautious approach; and, when the goal is near, she does as she had intended and invokes the protection of nature upon everyone to increase their chances of avoiding detection prematurely.
[[ OOC: Anyone who has rolled Stealth can add 10 to the result ]]
The Savage Wanderer feels completely at home among plants... it's as if each one represents a facet of the cosmic tree Yggdrasil, the plant at the basis of everything, the very root of reality with which she has become increasingly attuned due to her wandering life and the adversities in response to which she sought refuge in the wild lands.
You all do a pretty good job approaching in a stealthy manner, Eithne's excellent guidance. You can see a relatively small-ish camp through the trees as you get closer. There are quite a few gnolls sitting around a couple of fires and walking about.
Eithne tries to observe for a while, trying to spot a possible leader (if only because in the event of an assault, eliminating the leader could cause the others' morale to plummet).
There is one gnoll toward the back that seems like they may be a bit larger and more decorated than the others, but they are well surrounded at the moment.
Eithne suggests: "There's one gnoll toward the back that seems like they might be a bit larger and more decorated than the others. They're well surrounded at the moment, but perhaps some far-reaching spell could weaken both the supposed leader and his guards..."
"Unfortunately, the forest is so close that it will be difficult to prevent someone from escaping" the Savage Wanderer speculates. "But perhaps if we manage to take down the leader, the others, without guidance, will disband..."
Remembering how, during the previous battle, Britari had found herself targeted by multiple enemies simultaneously, Eithne offers: "Maybe you like to fly with me, this time? I could carry you to some ledges on the cliff behind the camp. From there, while our more melee-specialized companions hold off the gnolls, you should be out of range of their javelins and able to hit them unhindered with your magical powers—while I can do the same with my arrows."
Eithne then summarizes: "So, I can fly Britari to a ledge on the cliff behind the camp, while Rogferr can stay at the trailhead, with Faith perhaps a little further to assist. If the gnolls try to swarm Rogferr and Faith, perhaps they can fight while retreating. And when the leader is left poorly protected, we'll finish him off."
And if no one has any improvements to suggest, the Lone Survivor, lulled by the mental urgings of the Voices in her head that activate her magical boots, takes flight, lifts the tiefling under her arms, and, trying to stay hidden by the lush vegetation for as long as possible, goes to position herself.

Faith stealth roll 8, or 18 if some has has cast pass without trace.
Hopefully this is a group stealth check where those who pass help those who don't...

Faith just stays quiet behind cover, letting those better at it keep watch on the gnolls. She'll move when signaled to move.
There is one gnoll toward the back that seems like they may be a bit larger and more decorated than the others, but they are well surrounded at the moment.

(After a few minutes, you're pretty sure there are about 10 gnolls, including the leader btw)

Rogferr looks to those of their group that can cast large area spells for a response.
“It did seem like the last group of gnolls would rather run away than fight us as soon as we felled a few of them.”
Looking over the battlefield Rogferr will attempt to understand the distance between them and the Gnoll leader.
“I would rather not rush into the middle of such a large group but if we thin out their numbers I will happily rush the boss.”
Britari nods to Eithne. "Well, that would be most helpful. Because yes, I would like to avoid charging directly into any fights this time."
