"I sure can. I know exactly where that is. My name is Hurley. I'm supposed to be looking for some kids without tickets. My brother told me to. His name is Burley. We have to get them to the lost and found so that maybe they'll be safe. I'm sure Mister Witch and Mister Light will want to talk to them too. Can you help me find them before my brother comes back, and I will take you all to the lost and found? Then maybe we can find your parents." This large hairy creature doesn't seem to be very intelligent. He speaks slowly with a deep voice similar to a large kid with a unibrow talking about buttered toast.

Isy seems concerned, "Why do you have to do it before your brother gets back. Is he mean?" She looks around, to see if she can see his brother, then says, "I think I saw some kids without tickets go this way. Come on, we can take you to them!"

"Well, I promised him I would and I want to make my brother proud of me." He says with a big smile. "Oh thank you for your help! I will follow you."

Chase exchanges a glance with her twin and nods, indicating she's ready to follow the group as soon as they begin to move. Knowing Scratch is feeling nervous and unsure, she bleps at him, hoping to make him smile.

Isy brings him north, away from the hidden kids and the entrances.

The security guard will follow you children to the north in search for the other children. (Map updated. Please verify your marching order with the guard.)

Scratch can't help but grin as Chase's tongue makes an appearance. He sticks out the tip of his tongue at her, too, then begins crawling after the others, staying under the boardwalk.

Chase mirrors her brother, crawling after the main group while her keen eyes scan the surroundings, searching for a way to secure another set of wings for Scratch and herself.

Chase doesn't spot any abandoned wings anywhere, only those on the carnival goers. Unfortunately, creating another commotion right now might give away your position to the security guards and ruin your plans. [I need Chase and Scratch to make Stealth checks]

The other group of children continue leading Hurley away from those without wings. As you guys near the edge of the area Hurly stops, "Wait a minute... My brother went this way with one of the children. If they went this way he would have called for my help. What's going on here?" [I need everyone's passive perception]

Chase is so absorbed in her search for more abandoned wings that she doesn't notice she's walking right towards one of the wooden posts. She bumps into it and stumbles back, rubbing her face with a mix of pain and embarrassment. (Passive perception: 12. Stealth: nat 1)

Chase and Scratch unfortunately don't notice the second guards return across the thoroughfare until it is too late. He swings a sling around and around, and finally releases it into Chase's direction with pinpoint accuracy. As the flying object impacts Chase it erupts into a cloud of spores underneath the boardwalk and... [I will need Con Saving throws from Chase and Scratch.]

The others, being stopped by the first guard, are too focused on thinking of an explanation to realize what is happening with Scratch and Chase. "Are you kids trying to trick me or something? If you are that's not nice at all! I thought we could be friends, but I don't like friends who lie to me..."

(ooc: Not sure if Chase's CON ST is a +0 or +2. In any case, I rolled a 2 on a d20. Not rolling great lately with my little tabaxi...!)

Scratch falls over onto his side when something explodes upon impact with Chase. He looks around and sees the guard peering at them. He coughs and sputters. "Chase," he says, his voice a little wheezy. "We've got to run!"

As the spores erupt, they begin to affect Chase almost immediately. She begins to quickly fall asleep, slumping down to lie on her stomach. Scratch seems to remain unaffected by the spore's effect, though his cough takes his breath away. As Chase drifts away into a deep slumber, the twins see that the pig mask girl has reappeared, unnoticed, behind Illuwen! Chase falls unconscious before she could warn them of the danger. As the girl reaches her hand up towards Illuwen's back... [I need a Wis Saving throw from Illuwen.]

As the spores dissipate, the second guard rushes towards Scratch and... [I need a contested Athletics Check from Scratch]

Chase is still rubbing her cheek when she feels something impact her, and she’s suddenly surrounded by... what is that strange dust? She can vaguely hear Scratch’s voice urging her to run, but... she’s so sleepy! The young Tabaxi can’t help but think of her mum’s soft paws tucking her and her siblings in at night. Her bi-colored eyes are slowly closing when she spots the girl in a pig-shaped mask. She's going for Illuwen! Chase tries to extend a hand toward the elven boy—but she does that slowly, so very slowly. The next thing she knows, she's dreaming of Juniper. To everyone else, her curled-up body lying on the floor looks peaceful.
