(Before we resolve Illuwensroll, Chasecan either assist him giving Illuwenadvantage or she can roll for herself. Each round of searching will take 10 minutes and thus far you've only spent 10 minutes searching.)
Scratch drives his rapier into the floating creature and as he does it falls to the floor of the arena, then disappears with a poof!
Lexdigs his claws into the creature, slashing away at it's jelly flesh. The creature sheiks, then narrows its eye stalks on Lex.
Suddenly, the low humming from the panel on the wall stops. Then a blast of thunder magic erupts from the wall, speeding across the arena.
One of the creatures quickly moves away from the path of the blast towards Scratch. As he approaches, he points his underside towards his foe and sprays a foul-smelling liquid at Scratch. (Make a Dex Saving Throw)
The other creature whips a tentacle at Lexin retaliation but narrowly misses its target. As his tentacle whiffs through the air, some gooey droplets fly off and land on the floor of the arena scorching its surface.
20 min into your search for young Viro, still no luck. Where could he be??
Scratch, unfortunately unable to dodge the spray, is coated with a foul-smelling liquid and begins radiating a terrible odor. (Scratch is poisoned and remains that way for 1 hour or until he washes it off during a rest. Anyone within 5 feet of Scratch while affected is also poisoned.)
OOC: Yuck. DM, did the creature that sprayed Scratch get vaporized? Is there just the one target still on the field? Also, I take it the stream of electricity is constant. Can it be leapt over or ducked under?
OOC: So, I haven't resolved Lex's latest attack yet because we had to resolve the creatures attack first. The beam will disappear at initiative count 0. I would allow it to be leapt over with a serious acrobatics check. Each round a new beam will begin to form from a random wall panel. As you make it through to more difficult waves the number of beams that will form increases.
OOC: It disappears at initiative count 0 of the same round when it appears or the round after? If on the same round, it should disappear before we take our turns, correct? Because we go before it appears? I'm confused why it's still on the map.
Illuwen floats back over to the lost and found, addressing Allowen: "Hey buddy, we're trying to figure out where yoir brother might have run off to. What was his favorite part of the carnival so far?"
OOC: Charges will shoot from north to south and west to east, blasting across the battlefield over the course of a round. At the start of each round, the charging walls become visible to all competitors. On initiative count 10, the thunderous charges extend in a 5-foot-wide line halfway across the arena, and on initiative count 0, they complete their course, hitting the opposite wall, covering the entire row and column, respectively, before dissipating.
Young Allowen lookus up at Illuwen and says, "Well I think he liked the tasty treats more than anything, but maybe it was the Carousel. He really liked the dragonfly rides. Oh, and the pixie kingdom!"
Chasefollows Illuwen, and when Allowin responds, she can't help but furrow her brow. Those are too many places to search for Viro! She's clearly frustrated, but determined to help however she can, she comes up with an idea. "There's also Burly. Perhaps he could help us? He's really good at finding children, isn't he? If we don't find Viro in any of the places Allowin suggested, we could go look for him in the Staff Area."
(ooc: of all the mentioned places, which one is the closest? The Carousel? We can start there, for example, then go the Tasty Treats, and then the Dragonfly rides. The Pixie Kingdom is a bit farther south. Perhaps we can leave that one for now. And if the kid doesn't appear, we can think of asking Burly for help.
Chase will keep helping Illuwen so he can roll Perception at advantage, if possible)

Lex narrowly misses being struck by the creature's gooey tentacles, then slashes back again and spins away, his clawed hand dripping and smoking.
Action: Cast Primal Savagery - Attack 17 - 7 acid damage
Dex saving throw: 5 (yikes)
(second roll was lower, still a Perception 11)
