You remember an elderly gnome by the name of Oswald Ryvald. He's been the acting commander for a long while, even before you were born. He's known for his swordplay, among the best in the city. Most of the encounters you've had with him has been at a distance. While he doesn't condone vigilantism, he does address any crimes you have uncovered from your foes.
"Commander Ryvald, He's a fair man to serve under. Though he is not one for the politics of the city, despite his position."
OOC: Aidan is also from Aerovail. Can I make a check to see what he might know?
P.S. On mobile at the moment. Will reformat when I get a chance.

"I may not see eye to eye with the old man, but I do respect him,"Liana nods. She puts her hands on her hips striking a heroic pose. "He is a force for good, and I am glad at least this nation's protector is one of the best. I can't fault him for not enjoying the city life. Power corrupts and in the city you get to witness it in action every day."

Nate smiles at the captain. “So you know me? Well in that case, you wouldn’t happen to know where The Laughing Duchess is would you? Or maybe that elf bastard Johansson?” As he says the name Johansson, he grips the pistol on his side hard in reflex.

The captain shakes his head, "I'm afraid I can't. I was not the one in charge of the Laughing Duchess case. Ser Jeran was the one to handle the...operation...for the ship and her crew. We took you on board ours since they've already divided enough forces for a skeleton crew on board your ship and enough on theirs to handle the last of the crew. Either the commander of Ser Jeran will be able to tell you more."
@ Aidan
It is the same commander you've known to serve the king ever since you were a boy. A gnome knight, known for skill in combat and fairness towards others. Though people somewhat blame him for the Tilting, he strove to help with keeping order in the city and restoring the districts affected by the dreadful day
The Laughing Duchess, you've known them to frequently hit merchant ships flying to and fro the cities. Sometimes striking down the smugglers who were unlucky enough to catch their sight. You managed to avoid them though and this is the first time you've heard about the apprehension on the ship and her crew.
The captain waves at the soldier below on the docks as he starts walking down the gangway. "We can talk more once we're inside the carriage."

Aidan waits for Liana to move before heading down the gangway himself, keeping his eyes open for any sign of trouble.

Liana will maintain her amiable disposition despite the circumstances. She keeps her body language open, welcoming, and friendly. Knowing that her mask may create difficulties, she removes it without a slight hint of hesitation. The mask is what is famous - not her own face. She stows it in her pack effortlessly. "I hope this works better for you, captain. We'll have fewer citizens fighting for a sneak peek if there isn't anyone too important to peek at!"Liana's lips pull into a wide grin. She elbows Nate, "This is why you wear a mask, my friend. Let's you melt into a crowd a bit easier."

“Well most people don’t know me, they just know the ship. Not like these ones,” he gestures to the guards, “pay attention to my kind besides the green skin and tusks.”
"More concerned with the gobs trying to start a fight with you all. Forgive my racist comment, but anyone from Soarvern don't take kindly to criminals, former or redeemed."
The carriage comes rolling down the dock, stopping near the ship. The captain gestures you all to board and enters as well, slapping at the side of the coach. It is a bit of a squeeze as 3 people on both couches.
"Apologies, I'd rather we arrive as soon as possible than wait for another carriage."
Lilliana simply nods and climbs into the carriage, feeling much more at ease having something solid beneath her feet for the moment. Although for probably the first time in her life she truly comes to the realization that at any moment the engines could seize up and send the entire city plummeting to the world below. She closes her eyes for a few minutes and seeks out the calming voice that whispers encouragement to her. 'Soon, my dear, you shall have no fear of falling. Do not give into your fears, such things are for prey and the weak. You are neither.'
If there is by chance an extra seat next to the carriage driver, Aidan would suggest that one of the group could ride up front to save on space. Otherwise, he will board the carriage interior last and make himself as small as possible.

Gaèl finds himself in a rather unpleasant situation, he's never been a fan of human gatherings. Being pressed into the tiny wooden cube that is the carriage doesn't feel a bit better, but he takes a seat anyway, thus avoiding the masses of people passing by outside.
Liana is Lianaspreading on her seat and probably excitedly chattering to the other party members, complimenting all the amazing things they did that day - mostly about fighting the pirates. Not about anything about trying to escape.

The ride on the way is noisy with the crowd outside. Adults and children litter the street with food and toys. As you travel inward, you see more and more traders peddling their goods to the citizens. Assortments of trinkets from other cities and even items from expeditions are displayed on their stands or on the sidewalks before them. Storefronts are busy as customers are constantly enter and leave them. Deeper in, it is progressively more thick with people but as you see a looming before you is a tall wall, the crowd starts to disperse. Arriving at the wall, the carriage stops before a massive gate. A guard outside hails the carriage and the captain gives a motion to stay inside the carriage as he leaves to meet with the guard.
You recognize this to be the wall that borders the noble district. You've scaled, launched, sneaked past this very wall many times. Even through a few people did peer into the carriage, they did recognize you without your traditional mask.
