Gaèl yawns frisky and runs a hand through his hair. He leans outside to have a quick look up and down the ship before he grabs the rope and makes his way up.
Nate did tie it down, and is trying to sneak up on these people. If they see him, he'll run and try to hit a few to relieve the pressure off of the guard. If they don't he'll do the same thing, but surprising them.
Aidan will untie his lifeline, dropping it back down to the others. He will remain by the grapple line to help the others climb over the deck railing so the group makes as little noise as possible. As Nate starts off in the direction of the fight, Aiden calls quietly after him
"Wait! We need to get everyone up here first..."

Nate will simply point at the one person left defending the ship, who's probably the guy they needed to save, before continuing on, whispering, "He's not going to last much longer." Nate will get as close to the group as possible without alerting them. He'll wait until the group gets on deck, or it looks like the guard is about to be overrun. Then he'll attack from behind his swords at the Aarakocra, aiming at it's wings.
Aidan grumbles to himself at the Half-Orc's response...
"Neither will we, if we go off half cocked..."

(The guy's back is towards you all. While Nate is hidden, it's by staying by the staircase leading up to the stern. Once you're up those stairs, you'll need to roll another stealth if you want to stay hidden. Range is also an option as the fore has a railing, providing half cover.)

Liana climbs up near last. Overhearing Nate's words, she casts a glance to see the lone soldier fending off pirates on his own. How admirable! Protecting such a valiant person... wouldn't that make for a great story? It would appear she might end up in Aerovail again one way or the other. She may as well have something to tell the kids from her neighborhood.
The Red will move into position within 60 ft of the attacking pirates, but not quite in sight. She readies a toll the dead for when, inevitably, one of the pirates takes damage from her allies.
(Toll the Dead is WIS Saving throw vs DC 15. If DM needs a stealth check: 18 + guidance 3)

As Lilliana grasp slips from the rope and her descent down begins, Aidan manages to grab her hand, stopping that fall. Lilliana, you see below you the vast sky, the clouds going by and the far far land away from you. It's quite a fall, one that will take a long while and will give you time to think about your life as it comes to an end.
Aidan braces his feet more securely before releasing the grapple line, using both arms to haul Lilliana up and over the deck railing. While he is quick and accurate, he is not terribly strong so the effort taken sees both of them collapse to the deck. After a few deep breaths to calm himself, he looks to the young woman and says,

Lilliana begins to climb up the rope behind the others and as she gets completely outside into the rushing roar of the wind, her hands suddenly slip and falter on the rope. Her eyes widen. "No-NO!" Her fingers slip from the rope and she lets out a blood-curdling scream as she falls backwards to her death only to suddenly stop short as Aiden grabs her forearm and deftly yanks her through the porthole. Lilliana grabs Aiden in vice-like hug, her ragged breath causing her entire body to shudder, as she shakes from the terror. It is a long quite moment before she can talk. "Th-thank you." She keeps hold of the young man, not wanting to release her death grip around his waist.
I'd like to impose the Frightened condition on Lilliana briefly, if that's okay? At least while she is anywhere near open sky on this ship. Which I believe the top deck is open to the air like a traditional sailing ship, yes?
OOC: I'm actually on the top deck, so you would have almost made it to the top before slipping. We are both on the top deck now, right Virst?
As Aidan holds the terrified young woman, his mind cannot help but flash back to THAT day. After a few seconds, he speaks again.
"I know you're scared, but I've got you, alright? Now others might get hurt if we don't move quickly. C'mon."
Aidan will then try to move to cover, expecting that Lilliana's scream may have alerted the pirates on deck to their presence. He will drag Lilli with him if he needs to.
