“Yes, Bert deserves a decent burial,”Kaelen replies, his tone somber. “We’ll lay him to rest here, where he fell.”
He moves toward Bert’s lifeless body, carefully collecting his weapons and instrument. After a brief moment of contemplation, Kaelen sets the items up, positioning the weapons to form a simple headstone. The instrument is placed carefully, a symbol of who Bert was in life.
Malachite unsummons his his weapon and stands up straight, lowering his head in respect, before looking up at the group again.
"My condolences for your loss. I know one person can never truly replace another, but I would like to join your mission in his stead, should you allow it."
Your arrival quickly draws the attention of the entire population of the place-which consists mostly of kobolds. These small, reptilian folk eye you curiously while a couple of humans watch from a distance. All the cloister's residents are dressed in simple clothes, and no one carries a visible weapon. One of the kobolds pipes up with, "What's your name?" At that, all the kobolds begin barraging you with questions - "Where a e you from?" "What's that?" "Why are you here?" and more that are lost in the din.
Kaelen's eyes flick over the sea of curious kobolds as they swarm the group with questions. Their barrage of inquiries barely registers in his mind, the noise fading into the background as he quickly assesses the area. He notices the humans watching from a distance, their expressions unreadable, but they seem calm enough. The absence of visible weapons is intriguing, but Kaelen doesn’t let his guard down. There’s always more hidden beneath the surface.

Amongst the couple humans, you see one appears to be a middle-aged man with tattoos, and the other seems to be a withering older woman.
While the kobolds are distracted with Squall, Kaelen makes his way towards the humans.
"You’ve been watching,” he says, stating the obvious but making it clear he’s looking for more. “Are you the leaders of this temple? Can you tell me the purpose of this place?"
Herbert is just furiously writing down everything that is happening.
"Oh my, kobolds are so fascinating. Ok, so what should I write down? Small, curious, takes everything literarly... What else." Looks around and finds the nearest kobold: "Hey stand still, I will draw you for my book!"

Squall stands over Bert's grave for a moment of prayer before stepping back.

Kaelen steps away from the grave. "I have no objections. Herb, are you ready to continue?"
Herb closes his spellbook which was left open from grave digging duties, picks it up and sighs: "Eh yes, let's go! So much to see!"
Squal begins to move up the path.

Squall smiles at the Kobolds.
My name is Squall. I am from all over, I travel and try and help anyone in need.

"Do you have a list name?" shouts one Kobold.
"Where is Alover? What's it like there?" interrupts another.
"Who is in need? How many people do you help? Why do you only try?" asks another, seemingly not even waiting for answers.
Not a moment passes by before another wave of questions washes over the group.

Squall laughs.
I have no last name.
Alover is everywhere.
I have helped more people than I can count. Sometimes I protect them other times i simply help when they struggle with daily tasks.

Two Kobolds say at the same time: "Why don't you have a last name." "Your last name's 'Ivenolstnaim'? COOL!"
"Where is Evrywear?"
"How high can you count?"
"Why do you protect them?"
"What is simple about helping"
"What daily tasks are they struggling with?"
