Brand looks at the cave mouth and boulder, thinks and then says, "The bombs are basically made if, oil flasks, rope fuses and ball bearings. You light them and toss them. They basically explode and do initial damage (1d6), the oil spreads on the floor and then sets a small area of 3 metres on fire for a short period of time of around 1 minute. Unfortunately, I am not adept enough to make them kill outright. I havent figured out what fuel and material will accomplish a more powerful bomb."
Brand rolls his shoulders, looks at Ol and Lucian, "I'm up for some exercise and slaughtering orcs."
For all the grandeur in the name of the area and the hill itself, the cave in the ravine is wholly uremarkable. It is a cave like any other, opening up and out quite sharply from the cave mouth. The roof is high enough for the smoke from a sputtering campfire in the centre to disperse enough not to become choking.
There are 5 normal orcs around the sputtering campfire, one bigger orc just behind them cleaning between his teeth with a knife and the promised ogre is asleep in what passes for a corner in a cave with no corners
‘This looks like a great time for your Bombs on that Ogre Brand, if you do that and while they’re confused I’ll take aim for the biggest Ork - he’ll be the boss’ whispers Ol.
‘Lucian you then send the zombies in - operation zombie shield’
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The bomb sails through the air soundlessly and clinks as it hits the ground and comes to rest behind the ogre's thigh. Just as the orcs look over at the noise, the detonation reverberates around the cave as it covers the ogre in flaming oil
The way I see this is we a the following options;
One - sneak up and gut him and take our chances with whatever is in the cave, or set an ambush. Maybe with cover from Lucius and his bow.
Two - hurt him, badly with arrows. And let him get his mates out. We still have range and can thin them out.
I like option one but then I’m absolutely amped for cracking some Ork skulls.
Actually……. Brand……. Those bombs. Tell me about the fuses. Can we kill them in a cluster at the cave mouth?

‘The old soften up and charge it is then’ laughs Ol over the sound of stretching from his bow.
‘Lets see if this gets his attention’

Brand chuckles, "I just finished it off. You did great with that snipe shot you took."

Lucius nods silently
Brand takes out a bomb, lights it, tosses it all at the ogre and says a small prayer as as it soars through the air.
