"Yes, it is inevitable to agree, Lord Danon" Etriel Darastrix's green eyes linger longer than usual in those of the elf monk, when he comments on working well together - and her voice, without losing any of the typical elven composure, vibrates with an undeniable tone of satisfaction.
The foreign traveler then focuses on what the other is doing, on his explanations and on how to help him in the task. After all, a person who lives to travel, can certainly use learning how to build a sled...
"Looks good Danon. We'll have to look into securing a sled and some animals to pull it if we want to travel quickly to other towns, but this should do just fine. Is everyone ready to head back?" Neldak will help load the mead on the improvised sled and is eager to head back to Good Mead.
Etriel Darastrix stands proudly at the results of Danon's labor, and once the goods (mead, meat, and bearskin) are loaded and the flock of sheep rounded up, she replies: "Indeed, Lord Neldak, I believe there is nothing holding us back here. It is time to bring back the stolen goods - along with the compensation of additional merchandise and a little hope - to the people of Good Mead".
The foreign traveler is ready to lead the expedition on the return journey - it should be easy to follow the party's recent trail back. Should the flock of sheep somehow try to disperse, she will instead attempt to keep them together with the party, leading them to their destination.
[[ OOC: Am I to assume that nothing else is going on in town that will direct the characters somewhere? If so, I describe what Etriel plans to do, in general, in the days to come... ]]
Once back in Good Mead, with the main problem solved, Etriel Darastrix would like to take some time to learn more about the place... definitely tasting the local mead and learning about beekeeping - which can't be easy to do in a climate like Icewind Dale!
The foreign traveler will also be interested in any typical places in the vicinity or typical customs of the inhabitants and will take care to inform the locals of the unexpected shrine to Silvanus found and its properties...
Obviously the Eladrin Huntress does not intend to lose contact with her adventure companions (and especially with Danon): it is thanks to their help that she has managed to prevail against such large and dangerous monsters and she considers them precious 'travel companions'. She therefore will seek the pleasure of meeting them daily, even just to enjoy a relaxing mug of mead at the end of the day. If then one of them is even interested in accompanying her while she deepens her knowledge of Good Mead, she gladly accepts...
(there is most definitely something happening in the town, hence my question in the ooc chat. I just haven't had time to post it yet. That sort of general thing is great still which is why I let you know the journey was uneventful so people could rp anything for the arrival back and an initial thing.)
As they travel back, Neldak will end up by Idalie. "Do you suppose this metal could be made into something you would find useful, Idalie? Maybe armor or a weapon?"
Cirim will offer to Danon, I can cast some magic on the metal if you like, Detect Magic or Detect Evil and Good, but it will need to be tomorrow, when we get back to Good Mead, as I'll need to prepare those spells.
Back at Good Mead, Cirim will try and spend time with her new friends, learning what she can about them and there background. She will try and learn more about the endless winter, as that is still her greatest pain for the area.
She will definately occompany Etriel on any outings around the bees, as she is interested in that also, mostly because Sparks loves to chase and eat them.
Danon definitely accompanies Etriel, in fact, it is rare that he leaves her side. They explore Good Mead together, laugh and joke as ones who have gone through battle, life and death together and are starting to become more at ease with one another. Danon welcomes Cirim and anyone else to join them as they explore, thinking the more the merrier. He will try to hear any further tales of this town, curious about the beekeeping as well, as well as hearing any other rumors about ten towns.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
While you are going about learning about the town (of which there is no information, and as I don't know beekeeping, you can just imagine you have been given information), you hear that an election for the new town speaker is underway with voting in a couple of days. There are two candidates whose names are being passed around, one is a red-bearded shield dwarf logger named Shandar Froth and the other is Olivessa Untapoor, a middle-aged woman who descends from the town’s Chultan founders and who makes casks to hold Good Mead’s famous brew. While talking to some beekeepers, Etriel is approached by a middle-aged woman. She removes her thick wool scarf so that she can speak clearly. “My name is Olivessa, and I make the casks for the mead. Some friends of mine don’t want Shandar Froth to become our next town speaker. They say he’s untrustworthy. I don’t know him that well, but I’ve been urged to run against him. I have no interest in the speakership, but you seem to be a good leader, and this town could use one. What do you say?”
Danon, standing beside her, says with a smile behind his hand, “What do you say, Etriel, give up your sword, become a stylus pusher?” The grin becomes wider as he looks to her response.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
"I'm sure you'd do great, Etriel." Neldak says mirroring Danon's amused smile. "Though what about this Shandar do people find untrustworthy? Maybe we could look into that, so you, as his opponent, will know and can take advantage of that."
Etriel Darastrix furtively grins back at the elf who seems to have become his inseparable traveling companion: "Oh, my esteemed Danon, I would like to one day give up my sword... it would mean that there is no longer any need for it and that the Multiverse has learned to live in peace. But I suspect that this goal is to be considered a long-term one".
The foreign traveler replies to the woman, bowing her head respectfully: "You do me too much honor, Lady Olivessa. I have certainly received a good education in politics in the Feywild, at the Hill of Living Stars, especially from my noble father, Lord Soveliss Laïlonell, who still rules wisely over the community there. And I could perhaps demonstrate a predisposition for oratory. But you certainly understand that, being a traveler who has only recently arrived, my knowledge of the problems of the city is rather limited... Even if I were indeed chosen as a leader and if I were able to convince people of my decisions, I would still need the support of someone wise, so that my decisions would actually be the most appropriate ones - and not just the more sweet-sounding. And besides, I do not intend to live here all my existence... My life is the journey. My home is the Multiverse. And I will do my best to explore it all".
"However," the eladrin huntress becomes thoughtful "what you tell me about this Shandar Froth worries me. This community, which is already struggling, certainly does not deserve the additional problems that an untrustworthy town speaker would end up bringing. So... we could make this deal: I could be the leader you seek - and that the city needs for now - but you will help me identify wise people with whom to make the best decisions for the city and, most importantly, during my term, you will seek a successor, for the day I decide to resume my journey. Of course, in the meantime we could also follow the wise advice of my friend Neldak and investigate Shandar, so as to publicly denounce his demerits - if he has any. Does that sound like an acceptable proposition, Lady Olivessa?"
"He has not been here too long, only a few years. And he heads to Targos once a month to visit family, whereas people want a speaker who will stay. I do understand where you come from with not knowing our problems." She pauses for a thought "Although I do not wish to be speaker, I suppose I could take it on, but can I count on your support and guidance. If you have an education in politics you could be my advisor, or if you do not wish to remain here, you could give me a crash course in politics until you leave?"
Those of you present with a passive perception of 14+ do see a shield dwarf who was walking past has stopped and is listening in, trying to be inconspicuous
To Etriel Darastrix's keen senses, the shield dwarf trying to be inconspicuous is as obvious as if he were carrying a sign raised above his head. She half smiles, and then a sudden, annoying shriek rings out very close to the curious dwarf's ear! A high-pitched, banshee-like voice screams: "It is not good to eavesdrop on other people's conversations!"
When the other (probably) jumps, the foreign traveler prays briefly to Sehanine Moonbow, Goddess of Moonlight then slowly turns to him, feigning mild surprise: "Who angered my Aunt Halissya's spirit? Oh, it was you, sir? You don't know what you're risking... My aunt had a fixation on instilling good manners in the whole family - and in anyone else she met, for that matter... a fixation so strong that it won't even let her rest in peace in her grave! Being rude around me makes aunt Halyssa angry... sometimes to the point of making her manifest physically! And... you know what Banshees do, don't you, sir?"
"Please," the eladrin huntress's green eyes take on a worried and vaguely imploring look "refrain from any further rude acts and go on your way... If aunt Halissya were to manifest herself, not even I would be able to hold her back..."
Whiel waiting to see if the other believes the Banshee's danger deception and walks (or even better runs) away, the eladrin huntress furtively winks at Olivessa and mutters: "Deal!"
The dwarf jumps back, and starts looking around for the banshee. "Well Ms Halissya, I am sorry for putting the good of my town above your niece. But I think maybe you should be telling her not to meddle with elections that she has no part in. The future of this town needs a strong speaker who knows this town, and has good relationships with other towns, not some random stranger who happened to avenge the last speaker." and he turns around and storms off in a huff, though you notice his storming off is a bit more hurried than you would expect, almost as if he is running away from the "banshee".
"And that, as you might guess, was Shandar. Sorry about that."
“Pardon me, m’Lady…I’d like to know where he is headed..” Danon excuses himself and begins to follow the shield dwarf, staying behind but moving at speed to keep up (40 feet/round) and drawing his cloak around him, he stops from time to time, to hide behind something or turn away if he sees the dwarf looking back. He merely wishes to track his movement, see where he is headed and observe who he talks to.

If we are ready to return, Cirim will have Sparks fly above and ahead, scouting the way.
The journey back is uneventful and your return is celebrated.
