As soon as you enter that room, you see the skeleton (which is a lot less encased in ice than the 4 below the pool under thick ice) start to animate and it starts breaking the ice off itself.

Seeing the massive enemy begin to come to life, Etriel Darastrix rushes forward, hoping to take it down (with everyone's help) before it can become dangerous.

Seeing a giant skeleton, frozen in the ice is at first a bit jarring to the girl from the city, but as the others start attacking it, she feels the exhilaration engulf her. "Sparks, get in there distract it for me!" she yells to her familiar, so that he can offer her help.
She will cast Spiritual Weapon, and then attack three times, as does her spiritual hammer!
Danon climbs down and sees his companions rush forward toward the massive skeleton that is animating, his foot temporarily stuck in the ice. “Hey, wait you guys, he could be dangerous!…..”. He bends down and uses his hands to free his foot, but as he rushes forward in alarm, he sees that the work is already done, the skeleton topples over. “Uh, good work, he looked like he was going to backhand you and knock you into next week!” Danon stops moving and looks around where the skeleton was frozen and takes in the whole scene.
(technically, Danon and Idalie would be able to have done some damage on their first couple of turns. The difference would just be that the skeleton would be killed before it finished freeing itself rather than as it freed itself)

When discussing what to do, the foreign traveler is obviously of the idea of completing the exploration! A shiver runs through her, however, when the gruesome news arrives. "There is no hope for them anymore" she seems slightly saddened. "May the Moonlit Mystery light their way for the final journey of their souls. Needless to say, the old woman with questionable taste in home ornaments will have to suffer the same fate as the skeleton. She must not be allowed to continue flaying innocent victims".
