The man just looks even more confused. "Armeros sir, I'm afraid I have no idea what you are talking about. I've heard of no such staff, or of this trickster goddess." When asked what this place is, the man seems ready to laugh. "You mean you don't know where you are? You are in the keep of Lady Gisel Ra-Munkin, chieftess of the Ra tribe, terror of devils, hunter of demons, and the list goes on!" As suddenly as it appeared, the smile is gone. "You know, I find it very strange that you made your way into her personal treasure keep past all the defenses, found out how to bypass the door locks, and found one of the few rooms that aren't a dead end, and don't even know what you are doing here. Could it be because you are lying about this staff, and goddess of trickery?" At another unseen signal, around 10 of his men approach stopping just 5 feet behind him. "I'm sorry to do this, you seem like a nice guy, but I need you to either give me answers that make sense, or come with me."
Taxidea looks across the gap to the other side. Then looks a Xondario. "How much do you think it would hurt if you hurled me over that gap? Or...Xini can't you fly?"

"I could get you part of the way, but doubt I could throw you that far. Coukd shoot an arrow with a rope that far, but probably with little to no aim and not even sure what we could get it stuck to enough to make it worth it. Anyone got a hook or something we could try and get secure?" Xondario starts to shift through his pack hoping to find something he had forgotten about that could be useful.
Now it is Armeros' turn to look confused. The...Ra clan? Terror of devils, etc. He tries to recall ever hearing of such a thing.

Coming up empty, he tries to think of a way to use this new information to the group's advantage. It is possible this Lady Gisel is another of Shigh's disguises, and even if she isn't, she could prove a powerful ally. "Lying? Oh, perish the thought. It is simply...embarrassing. The trickster goddess kidnapped us and transported us to this land, you see, so we know next to nothing about it." He gives his best apologetic look. "Those we met outside the tower were very strange, and convinced us this place was Shigh's temple, where she was hiding the stolen staff under guard by her cultists. Perhaps...if we could consult your chieftess, she might be able to set us on the correct path. I am sorry for being so hostile before. We all simply want to return home."
Feeling that a confrontation will only lead to his demise, Flynt simply tries to stay out of the oncoming groups way in hopes they'll simply pass by.
(Hide in a door way, or step back and to the side of the door he just came through, hide behind something whatever it takes to basically just not engage.)

The man pulls his eyebrows together in though. "It's an unlikely story, but I don't feel like you're lying." He snaps his finger and all his men except the three brutes vanish. "Follow me and I'll bring you to Lady Gisel directly." He turns sharp on his heels and leads the party through a split off that surely wasn't there before.
Flynt: The giants notice you, and one gives a friendly nod, but they turn into another side passage without a word.
Armeros gives a smile of relief, quickly followed by thoughtful confusion as he follows the man with the others. Jasmine had seemed certain the guards were all real, not to mention the new passage appearing where there hadn't been one before.
"This tower certainly has some intriguing properties. Was that teleportation, illusion?" he remarks curiously, trying to place what kind of magic could be at work here.
The man smiles. "Both actually. We can not possibly staff enough guards to completely protect the tower, but we also need enough to actually defend from potential attacks. Therefore we use a mix of illusions and teleportations magic to eliminate and secure threats."
(I'm not fast forwarding to the end of the trip to Gisel to avoid getting too far ahead of Flynt.)
Xondario stilling shifting through his pack, "perhaps we have someone fly acrossed to tie off a rope or perhaps if they can get me over there and I can hold a rope tited to others ... where the hell are they going!?" He watches the 2 'negotiators' start to look like they are following this new group that was just threatening them.
"Fascinating, I--Oh!" Armeros remembers the rest of the group suddenly when he hears Xondario yelling. "It's alright! We've cleared up the misunderstanding! Manly--er, Manty here is taking us to see his leader!" He yells back with a wave, looking just a shade redder for a moment.
Internally Flynt breaths a sigh of relief, outwardly he remains stoic as he returns the nod. He slips in behind the giants and follows them at a safe distance.
Taxidea looks at Xondario and shrugs. "Well, I guess we're going with them?" He puts away the wand and starts walking cautiously toward Armeros.

The giants don't seem to notice Flynt following them, and unwittingly lead him to a massive meeting room. Along the walls are giant sconces the size of bonfires, filling the room with both light and shadows. Down the middle is one long stone table, lined with seats off all shapes and sizes. Most of the seats are empty, but there are somewhere between 15 and 25 creatures occupying the end of the table closer to the door. At the very end, in a large, intricate throne is an old dwarf, dressed completely in black. The other seats are filled with elves, halflings, humans, tobaxi, mousefolk, and all sorts of creatures. When the giants enter, the room goes silent. An elegantly dressed elf wearing a silver crown starts to address the giants before noticing Flynt. "Why friend, I'm certain you are not from here." The giants turn around, surprised Flynt followed them, but seemingly not worried about him being here.
"That's an astute observation ma'am. Flynt Westaire."
Flynt removes his hat and sweeps it low while bending at the waist in a deep bow. Straightening up He turns to the Giant envoy. Holding his empty hands out, as if holding an invisible bowl, he says in Giant
Appologies, No deception intended.
He continues with the elven mistress,
I don't mean to intrude. Point of fact, don't even choose to be here. Where ever "here" is. "
Flynt shrugs a bit as he looks about.
"But I assure you I mean no ill tidings to anyone who bodes the same towards me. I'm simply a traveler who's lost his way.
