[Here's a little Halloween treat for you. It has nothing to do with the plot.]

• You see a man in a black cloak, with his robes pitch black despite the light shining on it. His hood is closed so no face is shown, but he knows where you are. He hands are skeletal and in his hand he wields an hourglass, one with blood instead of sand, and the hourglass is completely run out. There's a strange black smoke around him. His voice sounds like a mixture of grinding metal, screeching, and a choir singer singing a sad song. "I can smell your mortality."

Clapper, more than a little freaked out, cautiously approaches the man.
"Who says I was ever mortal? I mean, I am, but who are you to know that?"

"I can smell it. I can taste your brittle soul, beautiful on my tongue." He opens up his hood, revealing a crocodile-like head covered in shiny black scales. His eyes are closed, his teeth a dull red like blood. There is a strong stench of rotting flesh. "People used to fear All Hallows Eve, but a world of dragons and wizards makes tonight look normal. It's good to be free; I'm hungry. But I'm really here to watch this fight." [See next post]

Morgot says, "If you're so confident in your abilities, why don't we fight with our real weapons, and we can fight to unconsciousness, but no killing. Alright?"

The smithy, "Been hammering for a cause good smith?  Are your weapons customers lining your pockets?  I'm asking in regard to a certain group the Scarlet Cross, ring any bells?"  Beans attempts to pick up gossip the town smithy might know regarding the activities of armed groups with in the city.

Whisper tries to watch the Smith's body language as Beans talks to him, but gets distracted by the brightness of the forge.

"I've been doing pretty well yes." The smith has the build and hair of a dwarf, but he's nearly 6 feet tall, so he's probably a human (probably). "Scarlet Cross... aren't they some thieves Guild or something? I have a juicy piece of gossip for you. I heard the Scarlet cross tried to kidnap someone at the library. Rumor has it he was performing for the king and got attacked by them on the forbidden floor of the library."

A man walks up to you from behind, dressed in a noble's outfit. "That was truely impressive, good show sir. Careful though, something dangerous is brewing. You better get out of here."

"I'm doing fine, other than a bit bored. I'm a little tired from wandering next to all these tall people, who scarcely pay attention to me, except the paranoid watching everyone. And speaking of which, have you seen cultists around lately? They're in disguise around here now. I'm watching them undercover. I'm not a husky, I'm a druid. I heard that the cultists are spreading all around town now, leaving their base. I traced one of them to here, a higher up cultist. As a dog I remember scents very well." I few people glance over at what they here as "Woof! Woof woof! Woof!" and look away, assuming your playing with the dog. Raiden sniffs the air and says "It's the tielfing in the farmers outfit." He points to someone in the corner with his paw.
