Kessintra is clearly unimpressed by the listed spells, but frowns thoughtfully. "I don't want to underestimate her like I did with Lucian--Oh, he's fine by the way, just a minor disagreement. If she knows that many, she must have damaging ones too. In any case, command could cause problems. I'll try to stay hidden so she can't cast it on me."
Ada follows Urwin, Kessintra and Garrick into the back room. She listens quietly to the conversation, surprised by Urwin's revelation of being a wereraven. The paladin has had encounters with lycanthropes in the past, but, unlike vampires, some of them can still be reasonable. She is inclined to hear Urwin out, especially if he is willing to side against the cult and Strahd.
"What about Rictavio? Will he be joining us in the defense of the church?" she asks.
Urwin sighs. "He might. He's..... planning on leaving Vallaki. Soon. He's packing his things right now. His room is upstairs, all the way down the hall. Tell him I sent you."

"I suppose I can understand why...Might as well have a talk with him beforehand though." Kessintra will head up to Rictavio's room and try knocking on the door. "Urwin sent us."
"Oh, sure. Thank you. I'm almost done." He opens the door wider to let you in. A small journal lies on the desk in the room. Next to it is some ink and a quill, as well as a pile of books. There's a bed in the corner of the room. There's also a wardrobe and chest, both lying open and empty. A small backpack is on the bed.

Razz sees everyone else has dispersed while he was hanging out in the rafters. "I think we should have some good light-hearted fun with these lush boys before they can only see black." Razz says before he casts Druidcraft to cause it to smell like skunk by one of them and then casts Druidcraft again to cause it to drift towards the other one.
If that works to distract them to talking to each other and not paying attention to their drinks, Razz will cast Minor Illusion to create a few copies of their drinks, hopefully making them think they are drunk to the point of seeing double (or triple lol). He can then cast Prestidigitation on their drinks to make them cold (he doesn't want them getting mad at the barkeep or he'd make them warm lol)
Perception Check: 17 (game log) to see if they start talking about anything now.
(If he can hear their names, he's got an idea on using Minor Illusion to get them to think their mom is there and see what they say.)
You hear the following drunken conversation, "Is that smell you?" "Nah, I think it's you, man." "Nah, I think I know when it's me." "Yea- Dude. Look! Two drinks!" "Dude..... You know what this means, right?" They say in unison, "Free drinks!!!!!!" They each try to grab the illusion, but fail. "Dude.... I think my hand-eye coordination is off....." "Me too, man.... You know what we have to do, right?" They again speak in unison, "Get more drunk!!!!" They chug their actual drinks. "Ah man, the wine is cold!" "But you know what we always say:" "Cold wine is better than no wine!" "You said it man....."

Ada follows Kessintra into Rictavio's room. She glances at the books to see if she recognizes any of the titles. Then she turns toward Rictavio. "I thought no one could leave through these mists," she says. "Where are you going?"
You immediately recognize the book Garrick sold him. The rest are about running carnivals and taking care of animals. "I'm not planning on going past the mist, just.... not near the city. Perhaps Krezk will accept me. If not, I have other places of refuge." Rictavio looks up at Kess' comment. He seems worried. "And who would fill the power vacuum this time? I hope it's not Strahd himself. His indirect rule was bad enough."

The selection of books is interesting; perhaps running a carnival is Rictavio's dream, though it's likely impossible now that he's stuck in Barovia. It makes her wonder if the fellow really isn't just a disguise.
"We're not sure. None of us will be able to stay here all the time to run it. Maybe Lucian or Urwin, but we'd consider anyone who helps. I just wanted to...well, caution you. Strahd had a recent scare about a vampire hunter in hiding in Barovia, so it's likely he's on the lookout for anyone who seems to conveniently flee his presence. Staying where you are might be safer for now. He seems good at anticipating what people will do."
Razz decides to wait until they order more wine and this time, he'll make it warm as he thinks they didn't like the wine chilled. Which he thinks is just weird, how else are you supposed to drink it? He gets an idea to go ahead and see what he can get them to say about their mom, Mrs Watcher.
Razz casts Minor Illusion and he'll have it be various people's voices that he's heard while in the rafters.
Guy 1: "Hey look, it's the Watcher boys, off getting drunk again. They're nothing like their mom."
Guy 2: "Yeah, I bet they can't do half the stuff she can!"
Lady 1: "Oh be nice, I bet they got their own skills they could brag about."
Guy 3: "Oh yeah, then prove it."
Guy 4: "I bet they can't even name their own skills right now, let alone their mother's"
Razz tries to get the timing down so that it comes out as natural as he can make it. (Deception check: NAT 20 for 25)
"The priest? Isn't he tied to the church? And Urwin this inn? You named two very busy men of little importance. And I assure you, I look nothing like that vampire hunter. I've heard a bit about her. She's.... one of them. A vistana, I mean. I doubt they'd mistake an old man like me for a vistani woman. Besides, I'm just a has-been. My carnival is in shambles. Only the saber-toothed tiger is left."
The two men seen irritated, but it's hard to tell past the drunkenness. "Hey, we can get more drunk then she can!" "Yeah! And she can do the funny magic thingamabob." "Yeah, yeah, do it on me!" One of the boys starts to wave his hands around. "Shalamaboopy!!!" He points at the other boy, who does his best to freeze in place. They then start laughing and go back to drinking. "Wait..... It's...." "Warm." They look at each other, then both say, "Yeah, ok." They drink regardless.

Kessintra frowns to herself; even in disguise, that doesn't sound like how someone would talk of their protege. So he...really isn't Van Richten? Hm, there is no need to worry about blowing his cover then.
"You have a tiger? Impressive. A carnival sounds...fun. And you're not busy. Maybe you could rebuild it here in Vallaki. Be the ringmaster of the town, so to speak. The toymaker here is good at making festive decorations, the people certainly could use some joy, and...well, if your tiger wanted to rip a few cultists apart tonight we'd certainly appreciate it."
Chipper looks up to the rafters after the boys try to grasp illusionary bottles. Looking at Razz he smiles and shakes his head with delight. Waving a piece of fleece from his component pouch he joins in on the fun. He follows suit with Razz's ruse as the minor illusion sounds the following conversation, hoping to provoke them into giving up info on their ma's forces.
Lady 1: Seems they can hold their beer better than you can. Guy 1: Only talent they've got. Guy 4: Some talents they've got. No wonder their mom is looking at others for heirs. Guy 2: How many spellcasters does she have anyways? Much more talented than those bozos. Guy 3: Not just spellcasters. I've seen one of her men that looks like he could chop a tree by punching it. Much better than those two drunks. What was his name again?
Accompanying the voices is the illusion of an unattended bottle of fine wine on a nearby table.
Rictavio hesitates. "You can take the tiger with you, but I'm leaving. I don't need to be a folk hero. The tiger is in my wagon. He's trained to hunt vistani, so to make sure he doesn't get sidetracked, keep him away from them. The wagon is parked right outside of the shop. Tonight I'll swing by the church and drop him off. If he's still alive after the battle.... there's a vistani camp nearby."
"Looking for a new heir, eh?" "They'll mean we'll have more time to drink!" "Yeah, and at least we're better than our sister." "Oh, the mad fool?" "Yeah, her." "Yeah, like, 'oh no, I was almost in an arranged marriage!'" "Yeah, yeah, 'as a noble!'" "Oh, and the spellcasters?" "Only one or two, right?" "No, I think there were 1 and a half of them." "Yeah, yeah....."
