"Even her familiar is a coward." Kessintra moves into the middle of the main room out of the range of Razz's spell and tries casting her use of faerie fire as well, aiming it at the same height the fairy is hovering.
The drow sighs, turning her attention back to the cultists and the hidden room. "Fine. What does that symbol do? --No one should kill them near it, by the way. Might be activated by blood."

"Anyone have Detect Magic? Maybe we'd be able to detect if it still had Invisibility casted on itself? Or maybe it died when Fiona did? Or maybe the lil rascal went to tattle on us to Strahd?" Razz starts to say and just keeps rambling on and on with different questions. And then a final one comes to him. "Do any of you know it's real name? I bet it'd come flying in here if we had that."
The taller woman replies, "We don't know what this thing does. It's been here for every meeting. As for true names, we have no clue. Everyone's been calling it Majesto."

"Hm...Majesto. Too good of a name for a flying rat."Kessintra remarks, moving to study the symbol on the ground more carefully while being sure not to touch it.
"Majesto? Really? That’s its name? Sounds like what a two-copper street magician calls himself to impress drunks at a tavern. What, was ‘Sir Flappy the Third’ already taken?"Razz says and then stops for a moment. "Actually, maybe that is taken now..." And with that Razz lets out a lil chuckle.
Razz will cast Guidance on Kess and then Help her with the symbol staying behind her so she doesn't have to worry about him floating into its perimeter.
Kessintra frowns to herself at the discovery, before getting an idea and flashing a knowing smirk at Razz as she turns to face the cultists again. "Hm...Fiona was more interesting than I gave her credit for...She really was dedicated to bringing her husband back, even in a more devilish form it seems."She chuckles darkly. "Your leader has been siphoning your life force into that sigil. It's a good thing I'm so soft; if you were to die, he'd rise as a devil bound to your will and..." She stops with a worried look, as if realizing it's dangerous for them to know this.
Chipper delights at Kess' deceptive plan. Before settling in to cast detect magic he tries to ferret out any possible imp via mundane means. Never let a good complicated plan get in the way of a better simple plan. he thinks. He tries to listen for any fluttering of wings, sounds of stifled breath, dust moving that shouldn't or other signs of an invisible lurker.
The cultists all look between each other. One says, "We're smarter than this, right?" All four of them simultaneously pick up their scimitars and attack.
Do you all want to get involved yet?

The taller woman immediately starts casting a spell. You see the middle-aged woman freeze in place. The younger man calls out, "Not so fast!" He casts a similar spell on the taller woman, but it doesn't appear to work. She bites back, "You always were the weakest, weren't you?" Meanwhile, the balding man rushes towards the paralyzed target, unsheathes his scimitar, and starts stabbing and slashing her. The taller woman looks over and exclaims, "Hey! That's my kill!" She runs over and places her hand on the woman's shoulder. You see a black void spread from the woman's shoulder, reaching to her chest. You only see a moment of movement before the light leaves her eyes. She slumps over, dead.
The killer looks all around the room, then at Kessintra. "So?!," she yells, "Where's my devil!?!"

Kessintra watches the battle with interest, noting that the cultists are more competent than they would have the party believe--well, aside from falling for her ruse. She gives a dramatic flinch when the taller woman addresses her, before pretending to gather her courage. "Ha, you don't get a devil until there is only one of you left to be its master! Even you're not insane enough to go that far, so we have nothing to fear."

[[ Not sure if Chipper's Detect Magic from before would still be active. But certainly willing to ritual-cast while the cultists are interrogated. ]]

Kess can sense that there's only trace amounts of magic left in it. It seems to have been 'used up' in a way.

Kessintra does her best to hide her glee as the cultists turn on each other, backing away in feigned horror that they could do such a thing.
