OOC: sweet Striker turned a hit into a miss! Still Amelia’s turn.
Flavor text:
As the goblin’s scimitar flew unerringly at Zan, Striker sprung off Garricks shoulders at a speed that could only be tracked by a blur. The weapon descended down on Zan’s chest, but right when it was about to make contact, Striker impacted the side of the blade knocking it just off course and it completed its swing a millimeter away from his torso.
We should collect the gear, if for no other reason than to sell to the townsfolk. A little extra gold never hurt anyone. Does anyone need the gear or should I just put into my backpack for selling? Ready to check the next room?
“I’ll leave them to you. I have no interest in goblin gear,”
Amelia says to Garrick before turning her gaze to Kessintra. *It’s actually working...* The unmistakable divine aura of Lord Corellon surrounds the Dark Elf, granting her magical accuracy and protection. *What would my fellow elves think if they knew about this?*
Then, Amelia notices something extraordinary. Amid the golden light of Corellon Larethian, there’s another power—silver and soft, like moonlight. She has a theory, but decides to keep it to herself until this goblin purge is over.

"Get away from him, you filthy beast!"
Amelia fires an arrow at the remaining goblin.
Longbow Attack: 25 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.
The goblin drops dead. This room is clear. There are only two more preserved chunks of rooms.
I exist sometimes, especially when I'm DMing Curse of Strahd.
Kessintra will quickly check the room and goblins for anything of interest.
Perception 7
Nothing in the room, but the goblins each have leather armor fit for a small creature, a shield, a shortbow, and a scimitar.

Perception 8 at the next door.
Kessintra will take one of the scimitars and move on to help clear the door to one of the other rooms with her crowbar.
Athletics with advantage: 19
Garrick picked up the rest of the gear. If anyone wants something just claim it and I’ll hand it over. Otherwise we can split the gold when it’s sold.
He assists in digging out the next door.
Zan looks to Garrick and the little Striker, thank you both.
You are able to clear the bricks in front of the next door. Behind this one is sounds of a beast. It's like a deep growl mixed with a shrill call.

Garrick attempts to recognize the sound of the animal.
Not sure which would be applicable here. DMs choice.
animal handling: 7 ; nature: Nat 20 + 4 =24
"Sounds like the goblins have a pet," Kessintra observes before stealthily opening the door and slipping inside first.
Stealth: 9 -.-

Amelia keeps her bow aimed at the entrance, ready to loose her arrow if Garrick’s animal handling goes awry.
Garrick can tell that it's a monstrosity, almost a fusion of two animals. Something powerful lies beyond the door.
Kessintra...... It's an owlbear. A big hungry owlbear that wants to eat you.
Should we use the old initiative or roll again?
I exist sometimes, especially when I'm DMing Curse of Strahd.
OOC - I’m fine with using the old one. I’m up first in that case. Not sure where the owl bear lands in that order though.
Edit: on second thought.. prob just reroll. Makes more sense that way.
((Oh....Roll again, I guess.))
