Kess' turn.

Kessintra stows her bow when she hears Izek's apparent surrender, approaching him just close enough to stay out of the web on the ground. Part of her wants to kill him anyway after learning the contents of his note, but keeping him alive could make freeing Ireena much easier.

"You'll come with us to the mansion and tell the guards to stand down. Then you'll take us to Ireena. Do this and we won't kill the Baron."

In contrast to Kess, Amelia never lowers her bow. Her eyes and arrow point remain fixed on Izek’s face.

“Hand your axe to our Half-Elf,” she commands. 

She briefly glances at Zan, giving a firm nod.

 “You can use the battle axe. Return my sword later, please.”

If Izek obeys, Amelia will hold her position, waiting for Chipper to dismiss the web. Once it’s clear, she will approach and provide Izek with first aid treatment.

Garrick isn't caught in web. As you approach Izek, a crossbow bolt emerges from the shadows, hitting and killing Izek.

As you look to the shadows, you see the murderer. It's a man in a black cloak holding a hand crossbow. He's about 30ft away and runs 60 more.

Kess' turn if you'd like to pursue.

Next long rest, you may level up.

Kess looks around in shock as Izek falls, immediately spotting the assassin. She runs to block his escape.

You end up right next to him. Skipper and Chipper's turns.

Zan nods to Kess, my thanks. Takes the battle axe.

Chipper is a bit surprised by the turn of events. Though it makes sense. He'd seen his share of such kills in his time. He seeks a spot,to climb up and then chants loose a bolt of,fire.

Movement: Trying to get height. Both for a better angle and to set up another glide.

The fire bolt hits and crits. Through Skipper's eyes you can see the guards running in the direction of the Baron's mansion. As they turn the corner to face it, they find the building set ablaze. The guards rush inside. 

Zan's turn.

Zan grabs the axe, cast guiding bolt at the assassin, 9 to hit for 8 damage then gives chase with his friends

Garrick casts catapult at the assassin. 

14dex save; 6 dmg on fail

That misses, you're about 30ft behind Kess and the hooded figure.

Then, three more hooded figures emerge from alleyways. One of their cloaks has gold lining and demonic imagery. The one with the decorated cloak casts command Flee on Kessintra. Make a wisdom save. 

The other two try to hit Kess with scimitars.

The murderer runs 90 ft. Garrick's turn.

Assassin save: 6, Kess' save succeeds, Amelia's turn

"Amelia, you have the scroll," Kess yells to the surface elf desperately as she staggers from the two attacks and spots the smoke and flames in the air in the direction of the mansion, "Leave these to us. Go! Save Ireena, please!"

“Rahadin! You liar and traitor to our blood!”

Amelia instantly grasps the situation as assassins spring from the shadows of the alleyway. She hesitates briefly,  before making her decision.

Without another word, she sprints toward the mansion, leaving her companions with a parting prayer.

“May Lord Corellon’s light protect you all!”

Dush Action to the mansion 

The mansion is in your sights. You can see cultists rushing in to the building. Kessintra's turn.

Kessintra slips away from the two cultists with scimitars, retreating behind Zan and Garrick. She looses an arrow at the murderer, hoping to finish him off.

Bonus Action: Cunning action disengage 

Action: longbow to hit on murderer 23, damage 5 (+ 4 sneak attack if applicable)

That hits without sneak attack, and draws the first blood from him. Chipper's turn.
