Class (Level 3, multiclass starts on Level 4): Druid Circle of the Stars
Backstory: Didros was trained by an elderly druid, named Yobi, at a young age in the Frotbridge Forest. The locals always appreciated Yobi and his young apprentices help when animals were sick, crops were struggling, or as general practitioners of medicine. As Didros grew and became a Druid of the Frotbridge Forest, he convinced Yobi to allow him to travel to all of the Frot-towns and help people the same as they were doing in Frotbridge. Didros did a lot of good for the citizens of the Frot-Towns helping them with their crops and animals but also keeping a balance with nature. Upon returning back to Frotbridge, Rivel Dirungo approached him in need of a guide for a group of adventurers. Rivel had used Didros and Yobi as guides before on small excursions. Didros accepted not realizing this would be more than a small trip.
Extra details (not necessary): As an aside, I am happy to change species if you'd prefer having a less "rare" species. I also like creating backstories that tie into the game but also other players. I find that to be fun :o) Thanks!
let us see what stats my adventurer from frot-regnum will have! (I am a long term text based dnd player, returning after a year or so hiatus for travel reasons)
Name: Glix D’Frotspear
Race: Hooman
Class : Draconic Sorcerer 3
Backstory: Glix ruses about Frotspear taking any late night gigs at bars and gala’s he can. The work doesn’t always pay well, but living gig to gig fits his interests. He took the City’s name as his musician’s moniker, and if you were to ask around, no one really seems to know what his real name is anyway… but years of working the scene meant most people trust him… enough to show up and play whichever instrument was needed… but Glix had dreams… dreams to become someone… a folk hero; an honorable death? Good or bad fate, At least someone they might write songs about one day… ;)
revised using 2014 rules (I couldn’t figure out how to change the set up to 2014 so I left one of the invocations blank as 2014 warlocks only had 2 invocations at lvl 3)

Well done, you've found a way to turn a banjo into a rock instrument 👏👏👏
*bam bam bam* "Hey Fred, you got mail!" a student with a crooked tie peers into Frederick's dorm room holding a letter.
Looking up from his studies, Frederick nods at his friend and takes the letter. Upon opening it, he hears and sees words from his father "Freddie, I hope you are doing well but there is something frightening going on. As a people we are used to things toxic and deadly but this thing, this occurrence scares me. Seek out what it is. I know your studies are important but this is something...just go. I'll settle with the school." The paper and glowing words fade.
This took Fred aback, his father was fearless and yet, he heard and sensed the terror in the letter. Nothing for it, school can wait.

Thx for allowing some rule of cool ;) irl I play a bamboo flute, and let me tell you, if you use the other end, it is certainly is a weapon, and dangerous :)
Class (Level 3, multiclass starts on Level 4): Ranger (Hunter)
Backstory: Silvosh has always lived a nomadic existence, spending most of her time between towns instead of in them. Due to frequent attacks on her tribe when she was growing up, Silvosh has a special hatred of Orcs and Goblins and will take any opportunity to hunt them. This only applies to the wild orcs and goblins. She won't attack Orcs and Goblins found in town (unless they are raiding the town). Silvosh has spent the last couple of years wandering on her own, exploring the Frottish fields and forests. On her own, she finds herself in towns far more often than when she was younger, as she checks for hunting and gathering quests. Most recently she finds herself in Frotbridge, where she is more than willing to join Rivel Dirungo's request to hunt her favored enemy of Orcs, accepting even before renumeration was mentioned.
Extra details (not necessary): I still need to work out how tall and heavy a 5e centaur is, Silvosh would be a larger member of her race. I also still need to come up with the personality traits (other than hate orcs and goblins), but those aren't visible yet.
Silvosh could originally be from a different country if that fits your world better.
Class (Level 3, multiclass starts on Level 4): Wizard (order of Scribes
Backstory:
Roland's first memories are of the smell of old paper, the scratch of quills, and the endless bookshelves of the Sanctum Scriptorum. Although he does not remember how he got there he remembers his time as a small child spent in the greatest repository of knowledge, both arcane and mundane, in all of Vyrtalda.
After spending the next 15 years of his life living and working in the Scriptorum, absorbing as much knowledge as he could, Roland's apprenticeship was nearing its end when he was approached by Speaker of the Sanctum who approached him with an opportunity. In order to complete his apprenticeship and be accepted as a reader in the Scriptorum, Roland would need to go out into the world and bring back knowledge that was not yet stored within the Sanctums Walls, however tensions were rising in the far-offlands Frot-Regnum and Helk-Regnum. If Roland was able to go to those lands and return with sufficient information about the people Frottish and Heltic peoples and the nature of the dispute between them, then then there was a very real possibility that he may be able to skip the rank of reader altogether and join the ranks of the Scriptorum as a lector or even a moderator.
Without delay Roland made haste to the lands of Frot-Regnum where he found himself in a tired old inn in Frotbridge.
Whilst he has no great desire to fight the orcs Rivel Durango wants them to clear out, the prospect of finding books from an ancient Frottish library is too great an opportunity to pass up.
No more people can join this thread, and I'd prefer that no one changed their character from now on. I will now be choosing four players out of the six or seven characters submitted (not sure if it was six or seven). There will be a post shortly to mark the four characters, and shortly after, one to start out the campaign.
I have decided my four players. We will not start just yet, so I can deliberate certain details with you. I now welcome these players to the world of Frot-Regnum:
I have a few issues to address when it comes to the campaign the first time I DMed it, that I would like to solve before starting to avoid confusion.
First, there have been three separate great wars. The first was over a thousand years ago, shortly after the Great Divide, a political event that caused the country of Saltera to divide itself into Frot-Regnum and Helk-Regnum.
The second great war was somewhere between the previous and the third (obviously), and was by far the most devastating, with Frottish wizards and Heltic druids destroying all the roads that linked the countries, and yet that war still ended in a stalemate.
The third great war ended fifty years ago, and was really just a couple simultaneous battles. It ended with Frot-Regnum's King, King Verda the Second, calling off all attacks. The only lasting damage from the battles is in Frotice, which is now barren.
My second point is that, while there is racism, it is mostly limited to the capitals, and to the nobles. Vyrtaldens do not have any hatred to either country. This racism ranges from slight disrespect and racism slurs to threats, price increases, and theft, again, these extremes are only ever really in the capital.
That was all that came up during the time I played with the last party. I will post a link to a campaign soon.
Yes please, Metaphorce
I'm just too goofy for this 😅
