PJC, I was on the mend, but then forgot to reopen DND beyond, and have missed nearly a month. I promise to try to get back to speed, and I may break my promise, but I sure as hell will try not to!
However, of course the four of you, assuming Denagon (and everyone else) is still active 🤞 get a bonus round (I've proactively placed Denagon in the center of the order for I couldn't find any initiative roll)
Hobgoblin 1 stumbles back with the pain, and instead of recovering, he falls to his knees, dead. Hobgoblin 2 attacks with her longbow, slinging an arrow at Didros, meanwhile glancing at her dead companion beside her: This was a stupid attempt to ambush them.
Both were crit hits (not sure how) so that's 20 damage total. As a house rule, critical attacks require an epic description, so:
I unsheath both blades from their prisons by my sides, and with my right, I carve an arc through the hobgoblins chain armour, the raking sound of metal on metal piercing the new silence around my group. With the next blade, I trace the arc, blood left on my blade when I pull away: Dead.
I forgot about the surprise round XD, but neither hobgoblin succeeded in doing anything, so it'll slide. Anyway, we're out of initiative, for both of the hobgoblins are dead.
Holth turns to didros, whispering. "Seems you nade the right call bringing the woodcutters along". He frees his axe from its strap only to put it back, since the combat was over quickly. "Soooo..... should we keep walking?"
Didros, you gather five copper pieces from the first body, as well as the chainmail armour and longsword. The other body has chainmail, seven copper pieces, a longbow with a quiver of arrows (19) and a dagger. Of course, there's an arrow on the floor nearby you that was shot towards you (and that missed).
“Ah we’ll just old equipment and some coins. Nothing useful for the road” Didros will tell the others what he found and offer to them whatever they’d like
Initiative: 20
Roland's: Perception: 8
Initiative: 8
O.O.C. Sorry to hear you've been unwell but hopefully you're now on the mend.

I'm just too goofy for this 😅
Initiative order:
Didros
Hobgoblin 1 and 2
Denagon
Roland
Holth

Didros warns the others. He moves 30 feet away from the Hobgoblins putting space between them and casts Guiding Bolt on Hobgoblin1.
Rolled in game log 20 to hit 14 damage. On hit advantage to next attack
(Ik it's not my turn but I just want to say I am still active and still willing to play)

To Hit: 8
Damage (If Hits): 4

I see that that doesn't hit. I will now play the turns of the Wood Choppers (1 & 2).
Chopper 1 runs up and attacks the remaining hobgoblin twice with his pair of short swords:
To Hit: 13
To Hit (Second Attack): 19
Damage: 7
Damage (Second Attack): 6

Didros nods "Strength in numbers I say...Let's check the hobgoblins bodies over and see if there's anything of note then we can move on"

Holth shall move them out of the main road, still treating them like corpses rather than sacks of wheat.
“Ah we’ll just old equipment and some coins. Nothing useful for the road” Didros will tell the others what he found and offer to them whatever they’d like
Denagon will grab the dagger.
(I didn't receive any message updated this was active since my last post.......DND beyond is oddly finicky in this regard.).
Holth will stand up from the two corpses and continue along the path, there is nothing more to say or do here, in his eyes at least.
You continue on. I'm assuming everyone follows (the woodchoppers do). As you make your way across, I'd like you all to make another perception check.
