Srikandis blades flare out to her sides, her eyes tracing the path of the tendrils....

" Permission to engage, Captain?", not that she needed it but the Captain was rapidly slipping into uselessness and she hoped a direct appeal might snap them back to business.

"You cannot destroy me. I have been vested with power by master, which is far beyond what you could ever hope to match. My master is the king of brimstone and fire, lord of steel and shadow. He is of blood and death. That is my master. You cannot destroy me." The figure intones finally, "Now turn back. Or feel my master's wrath!"

Despario suddenly collapses, fading and falling off the tower, the question directed at him going unheard. At the same time, the tendrils of red that were creeping towards the ship suddenly strike like a nest of vipers, shattering the shield in a mighty crash.

The air suddenly becomes very cold, and the voices in your mind swell. This is not good. You feel the whispers of death creeping within your brain, calling you to shadow. The figure points towards the steering tower, an impossibly long claw crackling with power, demanding you to leave.

I need everyone to make a WIS save!

York Wis: 13

Kaelos staggered under the weight of the being’s magical assault, his head pounded as the crimson aura pressed against his mind. Gritting his teeth, he forced his focus inward, gripping his longsword for stability.

Raising his free hand, Kaelos traced a glowing arc through the air, his voice steady as he began to sing aloud in a clear, stong voice.  A faint golden light flared into existence around him, forming a magical ward that — perhaps, if Kaelos was lucky — would come in useful against this foe.

Wis save: 17, Init (if/when needed): 20

On Kaelos' action he will cast Blade Ward and fall back adjacent to Despario's prone form.

Darius growls and focuses on the number seven trying to hide his mind.

Srikandi Wisdom Save- 16

Arcturus' mind becomes muddled by the mental assault (( Wis Save 4 )). 

The power of the assault overtakes Arcturus, and he crumples to the ground. York stumbles a bit but is not subject to the same horrific pain his companion is. The rest of you grit your teeth and resist the foul power.

Arcturus falls, and fiery mist fills his mind, visions of grasping claws and spilled blood, necrotic curses and blackened wings, scorched lands and blackened trees, and two bright, luminous red eyes, shining through shadow into your very soul, a malevolent gaze of death.

Seeing that none of you are going to turn the ship around, and that Kaelos has begun defensive magic, the figure sighs heavy breath as if the monstrous gust of a titan slumbering deep below the earth.

”You have sealed your fate by denying my master. Now, you die!!” The figure surged forward, an aura of vile energy crackling around it. It flies towards the group, and reaches for Darius with one of its grasping claws!

Okay, so. Everyone should roll Initiative except for Kaelos  since he already rolled. The monster won’t roll initiative and instead will take 2 turns, one on initiative count 15 and the other on initiative count 5, since it’s a legendary creature.

There are a few things to consider for this fight: 

First, you must repeat the WIS save (DC 13) at the end each of your turns or fall prone as pain wracks your body and visions of ruin fill your mind

Second, if you are engaged in melee combat with the figure, their red aura protects you, allowing you to not make the save.

Third, Arcturus starts prone

Actually, yes.  Thank you for asking. 

In addition to the cantrip & movement, let's use a bonus action to place use of Bardic Inspiration on Darius.

[Wis save: 17]

Kaelos speaks a word of magical power, inspiring his heavily armored friend Darius to even greater acts of heroism. Darius feels powerful and strong, emboldened in the face of this dark creature. 

The figure looks as Darius draws himself up, and chuckles "Your defense is pitiable". Suddenly, their hand strikes out, grasping at Darius, clawed fingers pressed to his chest, palm out. Everything is still, as nothing happens, then crackling red electricity spreads out from the Figure's claw, sparking against Darius's shining armor, wracking him with electrifying pain. As the electricity arcs around Darius, it forms into a deadly cage of lightning that engulfs him. Anytime he moves, he is shocked by incredible power.

Then, things get worse. Low whispers start to rumble, growling fiendish voices as the void mouth of the figure opens wide. Out from it floats a red orb, maybe a foot in diameter. It floats up and away, hovering maybe 10 or 15 feet above the head of the figure, overall placing it 20ft above the deck of the ship. It begins to pulse and grow, writhing as if alive, twisting bulges slithering under its crimson surface.

The Figure uses Crackling Claw: Darius must make a DC 14 CON save. On a fail, he takes 10 Lightning damage and must make a DC 14 DEX save. On a success on the CON save, he takes half damage and doesn't have to make the DEX save. If he fails the DEX save, he is enveloped in the lightning cage. While enveloped:

• he takes 3 Lighting damage anytime he makes an attack while inside the cage
• If he moves 5 feet or more, he takes 3 Lightning damage. He is then out of the cage.
• At the end of his turn, the cage explodes, and anyone within 5ft of it (including Darius if he remains in the cage) takes 4 Lightning damage.

On a success on the DEX save, he is unaffected by the lightning cage

Darius, Arcturus, Srikandi, & York, let's see what you can do!

Darius Con save (heroic inspiration result 13) plus bardic inspiration (+1 minimum) saves!  Darius thinks to himself, as he is jolted with electricity (5 damage) Whatever that thing tried to do, thank Kord it seems to have failed.  Then without a moments hesitation…

Darius’ sword flashes a brilliant arch as he intones a holy seance.

Bonus action cast Divine Favor.  
Action Attack 13 if hits (doubtful) 11 slashing 4 radiant.

Srikandi grimaced, she preferred does of flesh and blood but if this demon insisted she would oblige, " Bangsat Hantu!"

Move up to the Creature.

TWF/Nick Attack: 15 Damage: 6 + HM 5 Force.

York will haul a blast of fire at the red orb.

Gonna take what Vos stated in post #30 as Arcturus's full action

Arcturus rises from his position, shaking off the pain. He flees, though he would call it moving to a more tactical position, and hides behind the perch. he crouches besides Despario's body, and looks for any sign of life. Thankfully, their is one, though the captain seems shocked and unable to move. Very strange. You now notice the man's skin is ashen, a dull brown like muddy water. Yet, a heart still does beat in his chest, and breath still comes from his mouth. He is alive. For now.

The figure does not seem to notice, as Darius begins to shine with an inner light, celestial power channeled into divine fury as his blade flashes through the air, seeking to smite. The figure manages to knock it aside, but is left open to assault. Srikandi takes advantage of this, cleaving into the fiend with her two blades, dealing grievous wounds to the foul creature.

The demon staggers back wounded, and stares at the two warriors with hatred before beginning an ancient incantation in a growling voice. As the creature begins its foul magicks, the cold mist of the plane presses down around you, and you feel whispers in your mind.

I need York and Arcturus to make their WIS save, as detailed in Post #28.
