Srikandi is not good with the technical stuff so stations herself in the bow on the lookout for any further dangers, steeling herself against the mists...

The shield needed to be restored, and quickly.  That much Kaelos knew to be true. 

Following that ... the ship needed a captain.  For even if the passengers of the Concord Jewel  managed to get the protective wards back up — without a captain at the helm — they would be aimlessly adrift in the aether.

Making his way to Despario's side, Kaelos tried to rouse the captain.

Intelligence (medicine) 18 to see what is wrong with Despario. I don't know if the captain is hurt, but if he needs healing, Kaelos will use Healing Hands (2d4 hp).

Darius climbs up the tower, his powerful muscles sending him up the ladder easily. He looks all around at the control panel, and investigates. What he finds is that the ship is similar to a magic item, where one must make a connection with the ship by channeling magical power in a bond between themselves and the control panel. Their seems to be a slot where you can fit your hand in, and try to attune with the ship.

Srikandi looks all around, making sure nothing else is coming. She sees nothing yet, but her eyes scan the grey, making sure that nothing could sneak up on them.

Kaelos rushes over to the captain and tries to ascertain his state. He seems to be unconscious, but still breathing. No harm has befallen him that you can tell. At least none yet. The means of which the demon assaulted him were magical in nature, perhaps magic would be needed to find the problem.

Anyone can try to attune to the ship by making an Arcana check (DC 14). After three successes, (a nat 20 will count as 2 successes), you can control the ship however you wish, including the shields and steering the ship.

Ranged people (York and Arcturus), GO!

Seeing others check the steering column and the captain, Arcturus follows Srikandi's example and takes up a ready position with his bow, scanning the grey for further dangers. 

York would make the shield a priority as he feels the effects of the Mist, and would follow Darius up the tower to investigate the device.

Acrobatics if you want it to climb: 8

When/If he makes it to the top of tower and looks over the device, he will try to attune to it, inserting his hand into the apparent slot.

Arcana: 27 (nat 20) [sure hope he makes it to the top!]

Arcturus joins Srikandi, his eyes scanning the darkness. He doesn't see anything yet, but in the vast expanse of the Ethereal Plane, danger can emerge out of the mists at any time.

York moves to the tower and makes his way up, though his lack of physical coordination combined with the dizziness from the mist means he is only able to make it halfway.

The mist presses in, its effects starting to drain you of life and vigor. No more does it just send you to your knees, but it renders you so weak as to be unable to move.

On York's next turn, he can make it up the tower, and we'll use that Arcana roll

And everyone needs to make an end of round WIS save (DC 14) or be incapacitated.

Srikandi looks around, but is driven to her knees by the mist, unable to act. Luckily, she doesn't see anything approaching. For now...

Darius powes through and sticks his hand within the slot. The ship sputters then thrums to life, starting to turn back on. The shield flickers for a few seconds, but does not fully re-materialize, as Darius starts the connection between him and the ship.

York will continue to climb up the ladder to the device. Acrobatics: 14

Assuming he makes it to the top, can we use my previous arcana as a help for Darius to attune? Or if there is a way for both of to try and attune at the same time you can use my roll for my first attempt at it.

York climbs the tower, and studies the device. He deduces some of its workings, and starts to Help Darius control the arcane apparatus by utilizing his extensive arcane knowledge to coach the paladin on how to channel the Weave.

Arcturus looks about, but is distracted as Srikandi falls to the ground. He moves to help her up, and neither notice the dark shadow that passes overhead. Meanwhile, Despario grows more and more ashen, the mist around him growing dark and heavy as it seems to draw out his life force.

Darius focuses his power and energy, trying desperately to get the shield up. York's help pays off, as the shield flickers and then springs to life for a few brief seconds, then disappears. You almost have it! So close. Luckilym as the shield flickers, it gathers enough energy to expel the mist for a little while!

Srikandi manages to stand and fight off the mist, and she does so, she and Arcturus hear a whooshing overhead, and see a black, winged shadow flying above them. It is large, and almost shaped like a bird in flight. Two glowing red orbs peer down from the things head, its eyes surveying you. You estimate it to be about 75 feet above the deck of the ship, and about 50 feet above the top of the control tower as it circles overhead menacingly.

You know that your presence fighting the fiend has clearly attracted attention, and if you don't get out of here fast, you'll probably attract more. And from what you know, much nastier things lurk in the gray mists of the Ether than that demon you trounced. Much, much nastier...

No one has to make their end of round WIS save this time, due to Darius's and York's efforts!

Srikandi can also act if she wishes, since the save DC was 14

Unsure what else to do, and with no place to take cover, Arcturus stands ready with his bow and arrows in the event the winged creature moves in closer.
