Class: Bard (Eventually College of Dance or Valor)
Background + Reason for being in Baldur's Gate: Artisan - A Carpenter hailing from Amn seeking but to find her mother, after her last correspondence raised questions and concerns about her well being (or at least that's story Szona gives, if asked).
I’ll bite. Shame we can’t use the Illrigger since it’s the campaign is in Avernus, but the class is uber-powerful, so I get why it’s not allowed.
Placeholder for now as I role Ability scores: 151710141614
This sounds like a ton of fun! So many cool home brew rules! And from what I’ve heard BG:DIA is a good campaign!
It's more because of the class's role. It is basically a paladin for the hells so having the antagonist being an archdevil is counter to it, along with the current beginning not making sense for them.
Reason for being in Balder's Gate: Many years ago, when he was still a child, Gorash watched his older sister, Bridgette, get abducted by Drow slavers while he hid just out of sight. Since then, he has been searching for her, studying both ancient runes and more modern arcane arts to get any edge he can against the dark elves when he inevitably confronts them to save his sister from slavery. But recently, he heard a rumor about a powerful orc warlock in Balder's gate with a vendetta against the servants of Lolth. Could this warlock really be his lost sister? He can't be sure... but he'll be damned if he doesn't find out!
Reason for being in Baldur's Gate: Gilly was a soldier from a small, quiet town in the country of Amn. After finishing his three years of service, he retired and headed north. A loyal follower of Bahamut, he believes there are those chosen, such as himself, to protect the weak from the evils of the multiverse. His hope is to find others like himself, either followers of Bahamut, or those willing to protect.
name: Willowin Humbleson (very average rolls so he be humble 🫡)
Species: 2024 halfling
class : 2024 druid
background and reason for being in baldurs gate: though humble, Will was given an innocent intensity by his father, thus believing he could do anything… so he left his small village roots and wandered the lands when he came of age, finally finding himself in the fabled baldur’s gate, ready to make a name for himself. (His skill sets are oriented toward surviving and hiding and problem solving and not being over the top… a ‘heroes are born from anywhere’ shire type… also very much likes pipeweed and ale)
abilities: 11 str 14 dex 14 con 12 int 16 wis 12 cha
(can deepen backstory if needed, just lemme know what you looking for!)
(also i took the 50+50 gp from class and background and purchased a bunch of equipment at listed cost to equip him, if you prefer I do that at a different multiple than 1:1 listed prices I can adjust.)
To clarify...you are using exclusively 2024 rules or can we mix and match? The only 2024 materials I have currently are the free rules so it will make a big difference as to which character I will apply with.
Name: Gorin Mestel Race: Human Class: Artificer Background: Artisan, His workshop was in Elturel which he had to flee for clear reasons, which is why he is now standing at the gates of Baldur's gate. Hoping to get in and find a place to use his skills.

Thank you!
To clarify, I said 2024 rules to allow for weapon mastery to make martial classes more interactive and for origin feats rather than letting players choose a feat from the whole list. Most of the 2024 rules follow the same as the 2014 set, just with changes to classes and added more importance to background and weaponry. Most of the content covered in the free rules do cover the content I wish to use, the only thing it may lack is the full list of origin feats. To which, I shall add the full list in the PhB 2024.
Origin Feats:
Alert
Crafter
Healer
Lucky
Magic Initiate
Musician
Savage Attacker
Skilled
Tavern Brawler
Tough
But if you are referring to only races and classes/subclasses found in free rules, then no. You are free to choose any race and any class, the only exception be illrigger due to it being an ally of the archdevils and hells.

Unfortunately no, that is why the coin system is in effect.
Well with scores that low, I should really let the dice decide a few more things, based on order in 2024 PHB:
Species: 2
Class: 1
Alright, I'll bite. Let's see what the Dice Gods have to say about it, though...

Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
