Tonk pushes off of Ashlee just he pushes him and Tonk goes sailing through the air and lands in a ball on the deck of the ship, rolling for a moment then coming to a stop.
Ashlee looks around for something to help him get across as the ship slowly gets farther away.
OOC: If Ashlee is close enough to assist in throwing Tonk onto the deck, wouldn't he be close enough to make a jump to the rope that Gairlik dropped for them?
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
*sorry i read it as you tied it to the pier to help them get back up top. I'll say they just climbed the side of the pier. So there is a rope hanging from the side of the boat.
Ashlee takes a few steps back, runs and jumps and tries to grab the rope. Ash's Athletics 8
/e The distance is too great and Ashlee hits his arm and shoulder hard against the hull an he splashes into the water.
Ugh, that wasn’t good. Since he can’t really tell, Ixalin believes Ashlee is unconscious and ties One end of his own rope around his waste and the other to the end of Gairlik’s rope that’s still tied to the ship. He says “here, hold my backpack” and jumps in the water, still very unsure of the distance between himself and Ashlee.
Im guessing Survival roll for the tying: Portent of 11+2=13
Ixalin dives into the cold water and when he comes up he can see Ashlee, who landed near the edge of the ship and is struggling to stay above water.
* I'm going to assume you swim to him and help him stay afloat, his arm appears to be injured.
Gairlick and Chandra and Tonk, one of you can roll a strength or athletics check to pull him up, Adv if you work together. The crew have been busy getting all the sails up and haven't noticed any of this.
*I'm going to assume somebody gives you hand just to keep it moving
Gairlick and (friend) haul a cold and soaking wet Ixalin and Ashlee up on to the deck, as the ships begins to pick up speed and move at a good clip away from the city of OakHarbour.
The captain of the ship comes over to the lot of you, looks you over and says "Well... I was getting tired of playing it straight anyway. So tell me folks, what have you got me involved in anyway?"
Chandra reappears and helps haul Ashlee and Ixallin.
"Well, Captain, we're not entirely sure ourselves, it started with a barfight..." Chandra relays the story relatively straightforwardly, but tweaking it here and there to make their plight more sympathetic.

Gairlik smiles meekly and shrugs. "Wish I knew myself. Best I can surmise is that it has something to do with....,"he stops and just nods at what Ixalin said.
She listens to your stories about the previous night intently. "Tonk, you've made some interesting friends. I'm Captain Rhumeda, nice to meet you all. You're all welcome to stay aboard til we end up somewhere. There's no way I'm taking this shipment to Cairn, the Guild will most likely have someone waiting there for us. I'll have to reach out to some old contacts and see if anyone wants to buy what we have. I'll have some beds made up for you, you all must be tired.
“I am exhausted and could use a solid 8 of sleep,” Ixalin says. “But first tell us, is there anything we can do repay our passage? I can’t help but feel like we’ve put you out.”
"I'm sure I can find a use for some intrepid individuals like yourselves. I will need someone to help find a buyer for these now stolen goods. We can discuss it later. And I'll get someone to look at that arm." she says pointing at Ashlee whose arm is clearly broken.
With that she goes off to give some orders to a crewmember.

Your experience in enforcing the law, and dealing with lawbreakers, gives you a feel for local laws and criminals. You can easily find the local outpost of the watch or a similar organization, and just as easily pick out the dens of criminal activity in a community, although you’re more likely to be welcome in the former locations rather than the latter.
"I was a guard for a brief time here in the city," Garilik says with some embarrassment. "However, I might be able to locate someone that will take these off your hands."The lack of desire as acting as a fence is clear on the dwarf's face. "I think we can discuss that more after a bit of shut-eye.... Thanks, Captain for sticking your neck out for us." He walks off to find an unused cot or hammock to collapse in as the adventures of the long night and into the morning has him exhausted.
You all get a good solid 8 hrs of rest, after having been up for well over a full day. Tonk wakes up below deck after someone moves him out of the way because he's blocking a hallway. Ixalin, Gairlick and Chandra you were given a smaller cabin near the bottom back of the ship that had a few cots and hammocks to sleep in. Ashlee joined you after a ship's medic set his arm and set him up with a sling. You didn't get to sleep until late morning and wake up in the early evening. When you come out on the deck you can see land in the distance in front of you as the ship makes its way to the other end of the White Sea.
Gairlik emerges from below deck in good spirits. He strolls around the deck, doing his best to avoid getting in anyone's way. He finds a quiet spot to lean on the rail looking from where they came and thinking on what he left behind. After a few moments he calls up to the half orc, "So, where have you taken us here, captain?"

I look to see how far from the ship he is and if he’s still conscious.
