As he sees you heading towards the door, "Wait wait wait. Okay, its me, I'm Anton. What has Rhumeda got to sell? I thought she went legit, workin' for those ****s in Oakharbour?"
"No no no, I don't think I'll be doing that friend. I don't know you, and you don't know me. Rhumeda and her other Captain buddies stopped doing business with me a long time ago, I've moved on from this sort of shady enterprise." and he looks back down at his papers for a moment, before looking back up "But hypothetically, what kind of 'tools' are we talking about?"
*I'm just gonna say, because it's fun, that Tonk expertly flings his rapier so it sticks into the desk and sort of boing-oing-oings
Ixalin - you can tell that he is very skeptical of all of you. And he's having a bit of an argument in his own head about what you'r offering. Part of him doesn't want anything to do with this, he hasn't been a fence in years. The other half of him is just trying to figure out how much he can make off of you, and thinking about how to keep all of this hidden from his daily life.
**I'll let you know what else he's thinking as the conversation goes.
“Nice throwing Tonk. Sir, I’m sure you understand, me being the errand boy, that talking merchandise and price is better left to the captain. I’m not familiar with her entire backstory, but I’m sure you know the Cap as a skeptical person, who plays her cards close to the chest.” Ixalin gives a knowing look.
"Yes, and that makes two of us." he pulls the rapier out of his desk, examines it for a moment and then comes around and passes it back to Tonk. "You I recognize, although I don't think we've had the pleasure of bein introduced. Tunk was it?" He eyes the rest of you, "You don't have the look of sea fairing folk. How are you mixed up in all of this?"
*Ixalin you can tell he knew Tonk's name. But he's trying to get a read on you all. If he was a PC, he'd be rolling Insight checks on all of you.
"I'll put on some coffee, I love a story" Anton says as he pushes a couple of chairs over near the desk he was working at, and then heads towards a door at the back of the room.
**Ixalin, you can tell he is pretty much already on board with this, he's thinking of who might be a good buyer for some new weapons. But he is wondering how he's going to fit in time to his busy schedule and is hoping to keep you all talking to get more information out of you.**
“Chandra, this guy might just be wasting our time. What do you think, is it time to head back to the ship?” Ixalin loudly whispers to Chandra, loud enough that he knows Anton heard him.
Anton turns at the doorway and comes back in, "Hey hey, don't go. Alright, I'll reach out to some people, and get you a name. My usual fee is ten percent. Come back tomorrow around this time, and we can go from there."
The four of you make your way through the town, now lit up by street lights, back to the ship. You can already see changes being made to disguise the vessel. Along the side of the hull where it used to say "The Jade Winds Trading Co." someone has scraped that off. Also the green sails have been take off, and some crewmen Re just finiafini attaching a busty half-orc looking mermaid to the front of the ship.
As you are heading up to the gangplank you hear a woman's voice yell just behind you "Stop! Someone stop that thief!" and you see a dwarven woman in the doorway of a shop yelling at a young dragonborn man running full speed back into the village.

It's super difficult to tell, everything he's said sounds like a half lie.
“It’s a collection of fine tools, more impressive in person than I can describe. Perhaps you would like to accompany us back to the ship?”

"Dis" Tonk pulls his rapier out and flings it at Anton's desk he's currently behind, attempting to stick the point into the front of the desk.
OOC: Let me know if I need to make an attack roll or anything lol
I attempt to subtly cast detect thoughts as Tonk slams the rapier into the desk, using it as a distraction.

Ixalin maintains concentration on his detect thoughts.

“Ok. I guess it’s tome to report back to the Captain. Tonk, lead the way.” Ixalin grins.

Can I see the thief? If so how far away from him am I?
