Stump grew up in a small village as the doctor, performing miracles as he fixed injuries with a wave of his hands, he was believed to be a sorcerer because of the fact that he could do magic without much practice or mastery. He had always known otherwise, he didn’t know his parents and he could naturally speak celestial. Stump, seeking to help others out of his hometown, set off for adventure. As Stump declared himself a cleric, he found out that he was physically was a holy symbol, and could use magic this way. Stump is quick to befriend and trust anybody, something that got him into great trouble and great adventures. He has blonde, short hair, crystal green eyes, pale skin, and a tall, skinny build. People often say that he resembles images in temples and churches. He set off for Luminaar, working at a temple as a healer, getting to know the high priest as his best friend.
Would be really cool if he was the descendant of someone’s patron lol
Been working on a character the last couple days, but only now getting a chance to get back and really start! Hopefully I've got enough time to finish putting something together!
Name: Bryra Eilkollivo Race: Elf (Wood) Class: Druid (Circle of the Land)
Brief Backstory & Goals: Bryra has lived in Luminaar for many years now. Although she started her life in the wilds, far to the north. Her tribe of elves lived in the forests of the cold lands there. Her mother was a druid - part of a group of spiritual leaders for her people. And she had been following in her footsteps, learning about herbalism and starting to comprehend the magic within the natural world. That all ended when Bryra was in her twenties. A powerful white dragon came and destroyed her village she lived in. And most all the wood elf villages in the area. She fled with a small handful of others. After a long path, she finally ended up in the city. There she took to studying magic, or really more working as a helper for a guild of wizards. It was something she has spent almost another twenty years at. However, she never quite seemed to take to becoming a wizard. Only recently she has finally heeded the call within her to turn to the magic within nature and nurtured her skills to become a druid.
All this time, Bryra has harbored a desire to find out all that happened with the dragon. Did it come to their forest simply wandering for new territory? Had it been displaced? Or was it even directed by some other power to intentionally ravage the elves there? Could there be any other survivors of her family? Or even a couple of her close friends that had studied with her in her youth? At some point, she hopes to be able to pursue that trail.
Personality & Quirks: Bryra is driven to learn new things. She can also be quite blunt, not really caring whose feelings might get hurt. And as much as she is drawn to the natural world and feels it is important, she also acknowledges the advances made in civilized societies. In fact, she quite enjoys them. Though sometimes it makes her feel that perhaps she is failing in her calling.
Connections & Enemies: Bryra's family consisted of her mother and father, an older brother, and a younger sister. She also had about five cousins with which she was close. There were also two other close friends among the wood elves that also studied herbalism with her. She knows a handful of them, including her father, were killed by the dragon - she saw it herself. But she is uncertain about the rest. Solel Moonhammer was a human female that worked with her at the wizards' guild. They began about the same time, and now Solel is a fledging wizard. The two were good friends and she was about the only person Bryra really spoke to about anything beyond her work. Leocan and Endi Dathinal were two high elves from a noble family. Bryra found them very condescending, and they seemed to clash with her at every turn. They were far more focused and dedicated to learning to become wizards and they saw her as a foolish simpleton. Given their higher social status, they never really had to put in time working at the more menial tasks the newcomers might have been expected to do. They seemed to always go out of their way to add to Bryra's workload.
Uncommon magic item: Stone of Good Luck (This was actually a trinket carved to look like a little fox her mother had given to her. She only much later realized it's magical function.) Common magic item: Clothes of Mending
I've decided on the 5 characters to move forward with. It was actually difficult to decide! So if someone drops out, don't be surprised if you get a random message from me later on. To decide on the close ties, it mostly came down to backstories that I feel could be incorporated into the story really well or characters that should mesh well with the rest of the group.
If I could pick you all I would. The chosen 5, however, should get a group PM where you can get the campaign link and/or ask questions etc...
Thanks for that!
I'll wait til Monday to get the final count. Harder than I thought it was gonna be to choose, haha.

Don't miss:
Dallas - Mousefolk, Ranger / Community Cleric.
I was waiting for more posts before adding him. The additional dice rolls made have me waiting to see what else gets offered up.
Let's see what I get to work with! EDIT: Wait, I messed up. Ignore this post, and I will try again
oops can you tell I'm new at this lol
Never mind. I keep messing this up.
Ability scores, set 1: 11 17 10 8 12 16
Ability scores, set 2: 16 14 14 11 14 15
EDIT: That's more like it. I figured this feature out lol
Well, unfortunately, I only have access to the Free 2024 rules on this site, so I couldn't build the character idea I have. I'll bow out of this one.
Unfortunate. Better luck next time!
