The goblin#2 that you had hit with an arrow is way down the hall and around the corner, and you move to stab goblin 1 as he to tries to escape but your first dagger misses.
The fire bolt zips past him and down the hall slamming into the wall at the end. Chankla can practically see the steam coming out Salt Peets ears as he been cursing in draconic and uses his bonus action to order the canon to fire. “ I SAYS…GOOOOO BOOOM!”
Again the pip squeak cannon misses its mark. In a fury Peet tries grabbing it to chuck it against a wall but dodges every attempt he makes to grab it.
the goblins keep retreating further down the hall. Goblin 2 has rounded the bend out of sight, screaming bloody murder, goblin 1 disengages and makes a run for it but just gets to the bend, bleeding profusely from the dagger wound in his back. He looks over his shoulder and says with raspy voice, “ yous boys is going to suffer. The boss will make you pay for this”
Chankla can see there is a door to the right near this open door and can see all the way down the hall where the fire bolt dislodged a chunk of the finely worked stone wall. There are torches along this hall.
Chankla would walk over to salt peet and pat them on the head, this would to help reasure them. Chankla would look down the door to the right trying to get a scope for anything new.
The door is a high quality oak door with solid looking metal banding and hinges. Very old but sturdy. Rare to see this quality of craftsmanship these days. It has a lock, but a quick look at it, it does not seem to be locked.
Feeling a bit calmer with your reassurance, Peet will squint one eye, hold out his thumb and forefinger like a weapon sight and try to finish off goblin 1 with a firebolt before he can make it around the corner, out of sight.
Success! The firebolt sails forth and just as the goblin was about to disappear around the corner, the firebolt slams into sending him down in a smoldering heap.
Salt Peet jumps with joy and points at the cannon and then the goblin and says to it, “ sees, thats what i means . Nex time you dos.”

Salt Peet will look through the rubble in the first room to see if anything useful among the junk furniture and stuff. He will also write a few notes on the performance issues of the little cannon.
Between some cushions on the couch, Peet finds some old rat bones, miscellaneous chunks of stuff he can’t identify and a small leather pouch containing 100gp…
” Wooohooo! Friend Chankla. Goblins missed munies!” He says as he proudly shows you the find.

Chanka would grab one of the gold coins and give a small smile, he always enjoyed finding treasure, he would hand the coin back to you and check the room for any other items
You and Peet make your way down the hall and round the corner past the dead goblin. Peet gives it a swift kick as you go by. The light ends here and you assume goblin2 snuffed out or removed the torches when he retreated. The hallway doubles back to the north and bends again to the right. You can barely see something strung across about halfway up. On closer inspection you see it is a strip of razor wire fencing which you can crawl under. A person without dark vision might have had a bad situation here, but the two of you make it under relatively easy, Peets little cannon rolling in behind you. The bend goes on for another 25’ before coming to another wooden door. This one is not in as good shape as the one you bypassed.
Marelle will tell you it took a year to just the brew the 20k healing potion and almost as long to track down all the compounds.
At the town hall you are greeted by a male halfling clerk. “ Well howdy and hello, my name is Uripos Bushville, town clerk and barrister. What can i help you with on this fine day?”
In the town hall Vox can see the job board and the small stack of blank post papers. Uripos the clerk explains how it works. To complete a job from the board you take the paper and have the clerk put his mark on it. Then, once the task has been completed bring the paper back, along with any required proofs or signatures from the individual whom posted the job and the clerk will payout the reward. In order to post a job, just fill out the paper and pin it up. He also will tell Vox about the town fundraiser. One gold piece to get a small basket of rotting fruit to throw at one of the criminals in the jail holding cells. He brags a little about how the humiliation seemed to work better than anything else they tried to curb crime in the town. When you mention your interest in building #10 on main street he asks, “ do you wish to rent the whole building or a section? The building currently has 3 divisions possible. 1000gp per month for the whole or 350gp per section per month business license included. Taxes are a quarterly deal or monthly as you prefer and is a mere 5% of gross sales. “
Seeing as the door was weaker I would kick it open, I would be tired by now and wanted to make sure the people where safe. I would keep my daggers in my hands and be ready for more combat.

The rest of the room is broken furniture dust and goblin leavings. Would you like to try the next door or go down the hallway?
I would like to keep walking down the hallways 16 (perception)
