Target: 1 = Aidwyn, 2 = Darvin, 3 = Rash => 2 Swarm of Snakes Attack: 10 Damage: 7 (piercing) The target must make a DC 10 Constitution saving throw, taking Damage: 9 (poison) or half (4) on a successful save.
Aidwyn's skill in wielding her magical shield, Amazon's Guardian, is incredible; she manages to keep most of the snakes at bay, and none of the vicious bites land.
Spira, Khelbluen, Gaer and Mival are up! Any order!
The 'tiefling family' of Spira and Gaer try to contribute and eliminate some snakes, she by shooting a crossbow bolt, he by swinging Sixefsag, the magical silver blade. Meanwhile Khelbluen moves into melee range with the swarm, his hands crackling with electricity and Mival stays in the back lines.
The worry of hitting Aidwyn is too great and causes the Sergeant of Arvandor to miss, but Gaer manages to land more targeted shots and cut off a few snake heads. Of course, there are still plenty left...
Roxana, Rash, Anita, Aidwyn, Dawnborn, Darvin and Unseen Warrior are up for Round 2!
Figuring others could deal with the snakes better than her, Roxana carefully slips away from them and backs out past Anita and Spira to fall back a bit. She then tries to line up a shot at the snakes from her new position. (OOC: Cunning Action - Disengage, Bonus Action) (Shortbow Attack: 27, Damage: 12piercing + 15sneak attack)
The greater distance taken by the swarm gives Roxana greater confidence and focus: her arrow passes through the mass of snakes, cutting a considerable number of them in half!
Emboldened, Dawnborn, AIdwyn and Darvin all try to eliminate the remaining snakes, with bolts and slashes.
The tavern songs of the carved heads continue to provide a chaotic but jovial background to the battle.
Darvin struggles to hit the snakes, which have become sparser, and so does Dawnborn, worried about not hitting Aidwyn; the young heroine, on the contrary, having fewer worries and having the snakes actively coming at her, manages to impale several with precise sword thrusts, reducing their number even further. Soon, they should disperse...
Rash, Anita and Unseen Warrior are up for Round 2!
Swarm of Snakes Attack: 16 Damage: 1 (piercing) If it's a hit, the target must make a DC 10 Constitution saving throw, taking Damage: 12 (poison) or half (6) on a successful save.
But if the skilled heroine had managed to defend herself when the attackers were a tide, she does it even better now that their numbers have decreased. No poisonous teeth find their way into her flesh.
Mival rushes forward to take the place that had been Roxana, trying to crush the last reptiles with targeted Slams.
Anita Light Crossbow Attack: 10 Damage: 9 (piercing) + 6 (sneak attack) = 15
