Aidwyn and Darvin rush forward and move to either side of the monster. Both armed with sword and shield, they try to move the monster's trident to open a gap in its guard, and attempt to strike with their thrusts.
Khelbluen maneuvers into the room, perhaps seeking space to plant one of his fearsome lightning bolts.
Mival exuberantly pushes forward from the rear and positions himself in front of the monster, perhaps to block it in the room, where many characters can position themselves and attack.
Attacked from opposite directions, the abomination is forced to divide its attention; so, as it raises a tentacle to push Aidwyn back, causing her to miss, Darvin stabs it in the back, though the tough hide and a quick counterattack greatly limit the damage.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Is there no end to these monstrosities?",: Spira frets. "Even so many years after the invasion?" She decides to put further speculation aside for the moment, and concentrates on this newest threat to her friends and loved ones. Checking her body and spirit, she feels the weariness that comes to all priests when they have channeled almost all the power of their gods that they can manage, and decides to hold her few remaining spells in reserve for a time of greater need. Instead, she leans into the corner just enough to be able to aim over Roxana's corner and snaps off a quick crossbow shot at Four Tentacles.

Spira's crossbow attack 23; damage if hits 6 piercing
(OOC: few, as in, like, ONE remaining 2nd level spell slot. Period.)
Leaning into the corner just enough to be able to aim over Roxana prevents Spira from aiming accurately and the crossbow bolt goes wide of the monster, bouncing off the back wall and getting then lost into the room.
The monster was so intent on staring at Roxana that Gaer's sudden arrival, arrow already nocked, startles it. The creature instinctively raises another tentacle, avoiding worse trouble, but the arrow still painfully pierces the appendage.
The creature screams something in an unknown language, with deep, disturbing sounds, as it attempts to impale Darvin with its trident... and furtively touch him with a tentacle.
First the sword, then Darvin's shield expertly deflect the trident's predictable thrusts, but the tentacle sneaks under his armor, and the former Sergeant suddenly raises his hands to his head, gritting his teeth to hold on to what he's holding: "This hurts! Get out of my head! Get out of my head!"
With a leap back, Darvin manages to break the unpleasant contact and recover, but it's clear he's not eager to repeat the experience.
Dawnborn hears Darvin's groans and makes her way to stand next to him, already beginning to mutter prayers to the Morning Lord to bring some relief to the heroic fighter.
Four Tentacles, however, sees her pass and tries to give her a taste of its tentacle as well.
Meanwhile, Rash and Unseen Warrior close in to cover the last two melee positions with the abomination — it is now surrounded!
Dawnborn pays dearly for her altruism when the enemy's tentacle grazes her... and she feels its devastating mental impact—perhaps even more than Darvin, since she hadn't expected it.
The tiefling, however, manages to focus on communion with Lathander and, ignoring her own pain, prepares to soothe Darvin's.
Anita, frustrated, finds no space to position herself and contribute.
Spira, Roxana, Aidwyn, Khellbluen, Darvin, Gaer and Mival are up for Round 2!
Roxana will stay where she is at (Steady Aim) and fire her bow again at the tentacled creature. (Shortbow Attack: 23; Damage: 11 piercing + 7 sneak attack)
Roxana's aim continues to prove flawless, and her arrow passes precisely through the crowd of allies, suddenly striking Four Tentacles in the chest. The abomination's tough hide prevents further damage, but the point still sticks in, drawing blood.
"You will pay for what you did to Dawnborn!" Aidwyn growls, and while Darvin distracts the monster on one side, she attacks from the other.
Meanwhile, Mival attempts a combination of slams to both sides of the head, and Gaer tries to imitate his beloved, aiming carefully and releasing an arrow.
Dawnborn, however, having invoked the Moringlord's regenerative powers, solemnly places her hand on Darvin's back, whose wounds immediately begin to close and heal.
Aidwyn hits and spends a Superiority die for a Goading attack; the monster takes 5 more damage and must make a WIS saving throw (DC 14). On failure, the target has disadvantage on all attack rolls against targets other than Aidwyn until the end of her next turn.
Four Tentacles probably wasn't expecting such a furious and coordinated reaction: not only does Aidwyn's blade inflict a deep wound between his ribs, and the heroine's constant assaults put him in difficulty, but Mival also reaches him with a sudden slam to the right temple, and Gaer's arrow lodges in the abomination's side, which is now bleeding profusely from its numerous wounds.
Seeing this, Khelbluen hovers above Darvin and, floating, unleashes a bolt of lightning from above, striking Four Tentacles with a shock.

Just as the creature retracts the tentacle that drove Aydwin away, Roxana's arrow pierces it.
The Shadow Archer hears an angry voice in her mind, while the creature glares at her for a moment with hatred:
"You will all pay for this! These ruins will not be redeemed, just as Lombulluth commanded! They will be nothing but your grave."
Gaer, unaware of this, has meanwhile taken up position in front of the red-headed adventuress and takes aim at the monster with his Longbow.
