The Shadow Archer's experience perfectly compensates for the unusual environment in which she finds herself operating, and her arrow lodges between two of Scarred Cheek's ribs, perhaps even piercing a lung. The monster emits a pitiful cry of pain, while the blood from its wound begins to dye the waters around it slightly pink.
EDIT (OOC: wouldn't Eldath's blessing have granted us a swimming speed? or was it just the ability to breathe underwater? And Im assuming DW stands for Dawnborn?)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Spira tenses her muscles, waiting for the inevitable charge forward by either her brother or her husband. She shakes her head bemusedly, unaware that she is mirroring the gesture Dawnborn is making at the same time behind her. In the meantime, she is concerned that Severed Finger will attack Aidwyn from behind while she is off balance from her successful lunge. She decides to make it a little warmer for the twisted piscian, at the least; and possibly dazzle it with the light of Angharradh's truth. But she is practical enough, after the spell is cast, to ready her crossbow in case a more pointed argument is needed to get the creature's attention.
===***===
Sehanine's sacred moonlight - d8 (3) radiant damage unless SF makes a DC12 DEX save; normally there's no spell attack roll for this one, but Spira wants to try a "trick shot" and have it shine directly in the creature's eyes to blind it ... I'd suggest that a roll would be appropriate to specifically hit the eyes ; with normal damage and no blinding if Spira misses on her spell attack roll of 14 but SF doesn't make the save.)
BA: Ready xbow for next round in case the fishy-ogre proves resistant to da shiny shiny moonlight radiant damage type magic stuff
[[ OOC: The idea to target the eyes is creative, but I wouldn't allow it, since the spell doesn't offer that option... The spell is probably too imprecise to be used that way. ]]
Severed Finger is fully engulfed in the incandescent light, but suffers only superficial burns.
Speaking a few words in an unknown language, the two underwater monsters seem to agree to try to eliminate Aidwyn - and the brave heroine finds herself attacked from all sides by bites and harpoon thrusts.
But the young heroine, hardened by many battles, manages to defend herself simultaneously with her sword on one side and her magical shield, Amazon's Guardian, on the other!
The sea monsters seem irritated and surprised...
...And the rest of our heroes have a chance to act!
Khellbluen, silent as usual, floats into the room, heading towards the eastern end, then holds out his hands to Scarred Cheek and concentrates briefly.
The next moment, a 5'-wide lightning bolt shoots from his hands, passes between Aidwyn and Mival, and hits the ogre-fish.
Scarred Cheek tries to dodge with a nimble dart - and almost succeeds. Almost. The lightning manages to hit him in the fin and electricity spreads throughout his body. The ogre-fish is shaken by uncontrollable spasms and, when they stop, his hands release the harpoon and he floats motionless in the water. Dead.
Darvin winks at Spira: "Gratz on your acquisition campaign, darling!" then moves to Aidwyn's side and begins testing Severed Finger's defenses, feinting a lunge to the chest and then instead aiming for the belly.
But it is clear that for the sergeant, fighting underwater is a completely new and somewhat disorienting experience - the attack is so slow that the handle of the trident deflects it with ridiculous ease.
Gaer in the meantime moves to Mival's side and tries to imitate Roxana's excellent shot (although at the expense of Severed Finger, obviously). The tiefling ranger takes aim and shoots, aiming for the neck...
Rash, doing his usual thing, is going to charge in and attack SF with his staff (he should have just enough movement speed available). And, yes, he uses booming blade, just in case it tries to flee.
[[ OOC: Since the colored squares are difficult terrain (at least for those who move by walking) Rash also needs Dash to get into melee range with Severed Finger. It also changes little, considering the unfortunate roll for the attack. ]]
Rash and his Unseen Warrior also get into melee range with Severed Finger.
Anita in the meantime gets a little closer to be able to take better aim and tries to fire a bolt with her crossbow against the underwater monster.
The cover provided by the edge and the many people around should have protected Severed Finger, but the ex-Zhentarim's aim is good and the bolt wedges itself along a clear path and the monster only sees it when the metal tip painfully pierces one of its fins.
Round 2
Now Roxana, Aidwyn, Mival, Dawnborn and and Spira are up!
Once again Roxana lines up to fire her bow, taking careful aim this time at the creature with the severed finger. (Steady Aim) (Shortbow Attack: 14, Damage: 8 piercing + 4 sneak attack)
The Shadow Archer's arrow finds its mark once again, wounding Severed Finger in the side. The water around him is turning red in a way that is certainly unpleasant for him.
Aidwyn takes advantage of this to try to finish off the enemy with a slash to the neck - hoping that the edge of the blade will balance the resistance of the water.
Meanwhile, Dawnborn moves into range and releases a crossbow bolt at the monster.

To be honest, Gaer's shot is much less accurate, but the tip of the arrow still manages to graze Severed Finger's neck.
