Throgg and the crew really put in a solid effort at the oars and with the great navigational aid from Eclipse and Sinmana working together Boat2 and the littke rowboat being towed make it to the bay were the landing was planned, just a shirt time after Boat 1.
The Captain is very pleased with all of your performances, especially after Sinmana reported the attack and the outstanding fight along with the taking if the extra boat.
” Very good sailors, very good Mr Eclipse. You all have exceeded my expectations. Get the gear and setup a camp just inside the treeline here so we wont be spotted.”
you get camp situated and get some more rest. A small scouting group of redshirts has been sent to get eyes on the merchant ship and see where they landed ashore.
you all reflect on the adventure thus far and feel like you gained some good experience, that you have gotten a bit better at your skills all around. Everyone is now level 2.
Kel seeing his new stash would be so excited, he wondered if anyone wanted a share since he himself couldnt row this boat himself, but maybe he could give his thanks to everyone by doing better performances.
While the redshirts are out to get eyes on the enemy, the Captain pulls out the small map retrieved by the Goermond. He shows it to everyone. It is a hand drawn, crude outline of this island. The only hint it is even this island is a childlike cartoon of a harpy with large breasts in the corner. It show some marks on the opposite side of the mountain where the other ship is anchored and has some words written in a strange script that the Captain and Thagal can read. ( infernal)
After reading this aloud for all of you to hear he tells everyone to keep their eyes peeled and their minds trained on looking for the physical clues once the redshirts return with word.
Eclipse is no less bewildered but would never let on. He replies with confidence, “That could be, my long-armed friend. Or, the words “Harpy’s milk” could be symbolic of something yet more foul, or even something banal and as childlike as the drawing. For example, if the rounded hilltops on this island were once volcanos, then what milk, so-called, would they have produced? Lava? But Goddess of Sea…”
(Religion: 19+1=20! :) Does this refer to a specific deity in this part of the world?)
Soon, the redshirts return and report a series of cave openings in the mountain, they found a few recent corpses they assumed to be from the merchant vessel and two row boats on the beach. They report the name of the ship is the “ Meridian “, which Captain Naraan seems to recognize.
he makes a quick decision.
” Mr Eclipse, you will take a party to check out these caves, looking for clues to match the poem. Mr Throgg, Mr Zerk, Master Thagal and the Bard Kel and also Mistress Lagazara will accompany you on this venture. Master Thagal can map any caverns you venture into so you can be sure to make it back out.” He pauses a moment before continuing,
” Myself, Sinmana and the redshirts will get a closer look at the ship. We will meet up back here before dark”
"Aye, Captain, and these cat's eyes will serve me well in the darkness! I've a hunch it's the Amnian Sea Goddess we need to steer toward should it rise before us."
"Mistress Lagazara!," the rogue calls, purring ever so slightly, then brightly again, "Mr Throgg, Mr Zerk, Master Thagal and good Bard Kel!, let us not dawdle. Mind your feet lady and lads, for my silent cats paws can help only their master and no one else. And silence we need, because I'll wager the pint of blood I spilled in that scuffle on the shoals that more raiders -- or worse -- lie between here and the treasure. Come! Mr Throgg, let those long legs lead us and find a hasty but careful pace!"
Eclipse falls in behind Throgg, hoping his bright words conceal that he now leads from the rear or as close to it as he can get.
Throgg promptly starts towards the caves the redshirts pointed out once Eclipse gave the go-ahead, glad to be done talking about the riddle and be even happier to be told what to do. Scouting is simple, thinking is hard.
Kel would look up at throgg, he had a hard time keeping up due to his small legs."throgg sir! Can i ride on your back? ill give you an extra performance tonight"
You head off into the jungle at the base of the Harpy’s Breast following the small trail the Redshirts left. Under the canopy the light is dimmer and becomes easier on Kel’s eyes. The jungle is surprisingly lush for such a rocky chain of islands. You are greeted with the songs of many birds and the sweet scent of flowers and possibly fruits of some sort you catch sight of as you make your way quickly, yet cautiously.

Harpy’s milk, all curdled and old
points the way, to fortune and gold
underneath the Goddess of Sea
you shall find your path, and the key
After reading this aloud for all of you to hear he tells everyone to keep their eyes peeled and their minds trained on looking for the physical clues once the redshirts return with word.
“Hmm so we need to find a goddess and curdled milk?”
Throgg is entirely bewildered by the cryptic riddle

“Hills are not boobs silly man and lava is not white. You are very funny. These words are very funny too though so maybe you are right.”
Kel now meeting up with the group would be holding up his jar of coins "lookie here!'"
“You found money! Did you get ambushed too? Eclipse is holding the money we found after we killed the bad guys.”
(Reminder: After going through the mens gear, along with their weapons there are 3 coin pouches containing 22. Gp 51. Sp)
There are several sea goddess’s depending on the culture, but the Captain mention the nation of Amn so it could their version.

Eclipse makes a mental note to keep an eye out for this specific iconography!

(perception 14 while walking)
Kel would look up at throgg, he had a hard time keeping up due to his small legs."throgg sir! Can i ride on your back? ill give you an extra performance tonight"
“Hop on little fella! Just don’t grab the hair too hard”
Throgg let’s Kel up on his shoulders
Kel grabbes on as he would cover his eyes due to light sensativity, he would make his way into your bag and sit there.
You head off into the jungle at the base of the Harpy’s Breast following the small trail the Redshirts left. Under the canopy the light is dimmer and becomes easier on Kel’s eyes.
