This time taking a hit straight to the face with a blast, Seraph lunges forward to try and take down the bandit with a punch to the face and then a brutal bash to the head with the staff.
Quarterstaff (Focus Art): 11 + 2 to hit | Dmg: 4 Punch: 22 to hit | Dmg: 6
((Sorry about that. I had a couple of busy days and didn't get the energy to post))
Thankfully, even with the setback there was enough food still to reach the Fort next day. Seraph wakes up confused hours later. "Ugh... What happened?" He asks.
"We should take that with us. Anything to help." Seraph instructs while still recovering from the fight. "We could use the money to buy extra rations or equipment."
After maitake takes the money from the bandits the two continue on and eventually come to a large old castle with four spires that appears to be currently repaired by workers and seraph notices this seems to be the location of two of the dragon balls according to the radar
"That's odd... why are there more dragonballs here?" He remembers that Maitake was on attack mode when he had the Dragonball so Seraph warns, "Stay on your guard for crazy people that might attack us." Seraph will enter the fort to see he can get some rations from them for the long trip to find Maitake's villagers.
The robot says “follow this sign” the sign says on it “this path does not lead into a pitfall trap that that will capture people in order to force them to work for the emperor”
Seraph does not trust the sign. He turns to Maitake and asks, "Have you been to this fort before? Has that sign always been there? Has the people in this fort always been this...er... hostile?"

The bandit who is now bloodied fires off his blast again 19 to hit for 6 damage
That will bring Seraph to 0 HP. I really thought the last turn would have been enough to kill.
Maitake will attempt to stabilize seraph And he rolls a 17 which succeeds
Then the bandit attacks maitake 4 to hit 6 damage so it misses
And maitake unarmed strikes 13 to hit for 3 damage which finishes off the bandit
So because of this the two will be forced to take an extra night of rest which will have effects that will be revealed later on

Maitake says “you were knocked out by that very weakened bandit luckily he was weak enough for me to take him out with a good ol punch”
Seraph sits up and asks, "Were the bandits carrying anything worth taking?"
They had 40,000 zeni on them

He enters the fort and a poorly made looking robot says “HALT state your business”
Seraph takes lead and talks to the robot "Travelers looking to resupply." He answers bluntly.
((Also did Seraph get XP from the bandit encounter?))
100 xp

Maitake says “this place was completely abandoned and considered one of the ruins of the desert before I left”
