“Well, that is pretty gross. At least that explains the smell. But after what it did to that hand, err, spider, I don’t want it near.” So she casts Guided Bolt level 2 (attack 13, damage 15). Not certain if it hit, she uses her Channel Divinity Guided Strike +10 (once per short rest) to make it attack 23. 

Zoveldra's sense of duty manages to outweigh her disgust and she moves to engage the insectoid monster in melee.

Action: Unarmed Strike to hit 24, damage 8

Bonus Action: Flurry of Blows Push: strength DC 13 or pushed 15 ft away. Attack 1 to hit 25, damage 9. Attack 2 to hit 18, damage 8.

(13 does just hit the Carrion Crawler, so feel free to give yourself back your Channel Divinity.)

The Carrion Crawler writhes in agony, it tries to flee back into the muck but thinks better of it and thrusts it's tentacles at Zoveldra. The stench fills her nose as the heavily injured Carrion Crawler attacks:

Paralyzing Tentacles: Zoveldra makes a DC 12 CON Save: 19 or is Poisoned and repeats the save at the end of each of her turns, ending the effect on herselfon a success. After 1 minute, she succeeds automatically. While Poisoned, the she has the Paralyzed condition.

Zoveldra shakes off the Poisoned condition as the Carrion Crawler comes at her with it's bite attack:

Bite against Zoveldra Attack: 17 Damage: 7 Piercing and  4 Poison

You all are up. The injured Carrion Crawler is thrashing and fighting Zoveldra in the hut.

Zoveldra dodges the bite and moves to put down the crawler for good, though it's hard to concentrate surrounded by the rancid stink of the hut.

Action: Unarmed Strike to hit 12, damage 6

Bonus Action: Unarmed Strike to hit 19, damage 7 

If that didn't do it LANDMOP will spend a bonus action to activate Witch Bolt's secondary ability.

And the Carrion Crawler goes down under your relentless assault. Now that Zoveldra is closer to the garbage, she can see the mound on the floor is definitely a corpse of some kind.

Zoveldra covers her nose and mouth against the stench and reluctantly kneels to study the corpse.

Perception/Medicine (same modifier): 21

Mome moves to Zoveldra and puts her hand on her back to steady her as Zoveldra inspects the remains. “Nice job with the creepy crawly.” 

Zoveldra glances at Mome and gives a small nod. "You as well. It seems like the dangerous people who brought Anric here might have been using that monster to get rid of...evidence. That or their deeds attracted it."

LANDMOP simply stands at attention, awaiting her companions go ahead

Zoveldra pulls back the rag covering the head of the body. It is not Anric, but instead a dwarf. Although the clothes are somewhat decayed, you can tell that they were at some point incredibly ostentatious. The clothes bear the sigil of House Kundarak, a dwarven led Dragonmarked House of bankers.

"It looks like this group has been preying on the rich..." Zoveldra frowns, feeling pity for the dwarf. "We should let his family know once we save Anric...They might offer a reward for information on his fate."

"Agreed" LANDMOP says and turns to travel further into the cave, thinks better of it, and waits for the others to go first

“Good find,” says Mome. She uses her scimitar to cut off the sigil. “Never hurts to have evidence,” she adds. “Let’s see if this leads anyplace with a better smell,” as she retrieves the magical lantern with Mage Hand and goes down the path, shield in one hand and shortbow in the other. 

Zoveldra walks alongside Mome, keeping a careful eye out for danger.
