Razzec steps up quickly and yanks the cudgel from the father's hands. "That's not a club. This is a club!" With that he tosses the cudgel to the side and pulls out the Dominator.
"Now if we had wanted to, I could have came out swinging this instead of just disarming you. So think for a moment. Do we look like the thugs of whoever his "Lady Boss" is? We just got done with a mission from the King, who knows how long that took, so I can guarantee you that you have not seen us around recently if at all around these parts. Your son has persuaded us to help guard you and your grain so that you might continue to make a living."
He puts the Dominator back in the bag and says with a shrug, "Now think we can start again? Hello we adventures and we're here to help."
Emberflits closer, "Yes, a long and dangerous mission for the king... and we thought a 'simple' job of escorting your wagon to market would be a nice change. Sun. Fresh air. No traps, puzzles or monsters. A pleasant walk about."
"YES! I am the Dominator! Wielded by a proper hero I wi"
The clubs voice is cut off as it's placed back in the bag. The man is momentarily startled and with assurances from his son, he looks at you more appraisingly.
" Well alright then. Um..." he sighs and places his hands on his hips "Well see, we don't have a lot to pay you with. You look like serious customers and to be honest, without this shipment we're sunk." He thinks a bit and with hope in his eyes, he says, "I tell you what, I'll provide meals and such and pay you after delivery. Would that be fair?" He holds out his hand, "Charles Bartlett, you already know Chip" giving his son a hug.
"Welp, you think on it, I gotta finish getting ready. We leave at sunrise. Come on boy."
The man proceeds to load more sacks and small barrels into the wagon with the help of the boy.
Razzec shaking Charles's hand, "Glad to meet your acquaintance, Charles. I'm Razzec, a Brass Dragonborn Fighter. And I have already offered to do this for free for your son. I mistook his intentions and offered to do so as an amends to that. But I won't say no to the food. How full are you planning on loading the wagon? Oh yeah, about how long do you think this will take, round trip?"
Turning to the rest of the group, "I think we might want to grab a wagon for ourselves depending on how much room is going to be left once they are done loading theirs."
(( How much to get a wagon and a few horses to pull it and enough feed for them for the round trip? ))

OOC: Ok, so would that be 250gp (yackles) + 50gp (nice wagon) + 50gp (feed) for 350gp or 35pp? Would we need a yackle handler to help with the trip or is there anyone in the group that can handle that?
*I'd assume the two farmers can help handle Yackles, and I vote we get some of the amazing birbs*

Ember flits closer to the boy and starts quizzing Chip, "How long WILL this 'simple trip' be? What do Yackles eat? Do they eat fairies? Will they lay eggs on the trip? Why is your wagon in such disrepair if it is all you have for sustaining your family? Will the weather be for or against us? Should we purchase blankets for the yackles if it gets cold at night? Extra rope to hobble them for grazing?"
OOC: Anybody can ride or drive an animal as long as their Animal Handling skill is +0 or better.

"That's a lot of questions Mr. Fairy." Chip puts his hands on his hips and grins while Ember flitters about, "A trip to Smoulderhome takes about two weeks to get there then two weeks back." He looks down and loses his smile for a moment, but quickly recovers "Uh well, you know a new wagon would cost money and Dad says we'll get to it when we can." Razz overhears Chip talking about what the birds will eat, "I've had my fair share of Sow. I knew a chef that could make it so many different ways and you wouldn't even know you were eating sow. Though I don't think I ever had it dried..."
"Shall we hire out some mounts and get some rooms for the night then? I could go for a meal near a large fireplace, and get a proper bed rest before we head out!"
"Yeah, I think that sounds like a plan. I was hoping maybe one of our more magically inclined party members could help refresh their wagon a lil bit in the morning before we set out. Would that put too much strain on any of you? And I think if everyone pitches in 8pp or 80gp, I can go and get everything on our end for the trip. Alexia, did you want a single bird for yourself to ride or just wanted one of the two we were going to get for the wagon? That'll change the amount for either yourself or everyone else as well." Razzec pulls out a quill and paper and starts noting down everything they'll need and what everyone's split will be.

He rummages in his bag of holding and draws out a handful of platinum coins. Slowly counting out 8, he shoves the rest back into his pack before handing his 8 pp to Razzec, " If you need more, let me know."
