OOC:  Is the goop from these things that attacked us still here just dead?  Like jello sitting on the floor?

**OOC:  Was wondering if we were supposed to put the goo into the acid to defuse it or something.  That does not seem to be the case.**

"Alright.  We have one piece of the key.  We need to get the other key out of this vase of acid.  Anyone have any ideas at all?  It seems to burn everything except the key and the vase"

Grexxa then gets an idea.  "Wait... Why is the vase able to hold this acid?"

Grexxa then wants to inspect the jars and vases that were in the room that were previously piled up on the table.  Do any of them appear to be made of the same material?

**Sorry, not vases, they're vats, like circular metal tubs, maybe a couple inches of thick iron outside, maybe 3 feet in diameter and and and 2 feet deep. You could assume anything metal would survive, at least for a while in the acid.**

Barbarry is going to find longer things that will fit inside and try to use them to scoop the key out. Barbarry doesn't want to use her own equipment or anyone else's.

In the room is mostly old pots and urns and old wraps, you had pulled the shelves off of the wall, and while they're long enough they would be difficult to pick up a key with.

Could Barbarry try and break a post off of one of the shelves and us it to try and fish the key out?

Barbarry will knock the shelf over, stand on one post and grasp another one with both hands before trying to tear it off.

4 Dex to fish it out

*If successful* Barbarry will use one of the knocked over shelves to stand on while using the newly acquired post to dip in the acid to try and push the key up the side of the vat and drag it to the surface.

OOC: If it needs different rolls let me know.

I think with a 12 you break a shelf, but it breaks the wrong way and you have two short wide ends instead of two long ends like you'd hoped.  So you can't use the boards to get it out. 

(but i'll let you keep that 21 to fish it out when you find something else)

Begrudgingly Barbarry will draw one of the javelin's attached to his bag and ready herself concentrating very hard on the task at hand. She will bury her javelin into the acid and skillfully put the tip onto the key doing as best as she can to drag it up the side of the vat out of the acid and onto the floor.

Barbarry sticks a javelin into the vat and easily pops the key up out of the acid where it falls to the floor. At first she thinks she was quick enough to have done it without damaging the javelin, but as she pulls it out the shaft continues to emit steam as the the acid clinging to it continues to erode it.  After a moment the javelin becomes unusable from the melting acid that is coating it, and Barbarry drops it to the floor to avoid getting any on her skin.

If anyone picks up the key to examine it you can see that it would connect perfectly to the other half you have.

Barbarry will triumphantly pick it up and hand it to Dell sporting a huge grin ear to ear.

Dell places the two halves of the keys together and they slide easily in to place forming one larger key. As you all are looking at it you can see the seams separating the two halves disappear, the two halves meld together.

Dellilah grins at the rest of her female companions: "Okay, this looks like a Very Important Find, girls. Now, we just have to find the lock it fits in..." 

She gives a triumphant look at the rest of the amazons surrounding her and gives Barbarry a friendly shove on the shoulder as she adds: "See ? I told ye we'd make a proper 'roguesse' outta ye yet... Way to go, Miss Barb'ry! "

So unless you want to search around in the dirty water there doesn't look like there's much left in this room. There is another doorway leading to dark stairwell going down. Also back the way you came there was another stairway heading down, that set of stairs was filled with a thick mist.

"Let's find that key hole!"

Grexxa will toss her staff down and summon Bert the snake.

"Bert, lead the way down this stairwell"

Grexxa will follow behind Bert down the stairwell that is dark not filled with mist.

The stairway descends down a bit before coming to a hallway that turns to the left.  As you round the corner you see that the hallways drops away into a huge pit. The pit extends across the full width of the hallway, it is about 10ft deep and about 30ft long. 

Dell looks into the pit then back at her comrades: "Okay, I guess I could use my fancy boots either to float above this thing and try and tie a rope across, or carry each one of you one by one across it... it seemed to work with that last lava-filled abyss we all almost fell into. Whatcha ladies think ?"

The freckled, gaunt-looking woman brushes a loose strand of reddish-blond hair from her forehead as she fixes her hazel eyes on the raggle-taggle group of awkward-looking females facing her.

Grexxa looks over the edge then back to Dell.

"I believe carrying each of us individually would be the best bet.  I do not trust my strength over such a long distance."

**Walk me through the steps of this plan, and ill let you know if you need to roll anything.**

** Basically, Dell will make a makeshift harness with his rope to secure his companions to his back and waist - think of a rock-climbing harness of sorts, with loops for each leg of the person being carried and another loop across Dell's chest, for example - then use his Levitation Boots to rise up to the ceiling and shift his bulk along once there...**
