Two recruits need to sail with the Gallows Dancer. Due to depart from the city of Sails known as Luskan in the north of Faerun. Captained by the infamous Naraan Well-Breaker, the Gallows Dancer will be headed to the exotic shores of Calimshan, land of riches and adventures few have seen. The recruiting table is set at the Cutlass tavern, near the docks of Luskan……
This is a story driven adventure that will explore a land few ever see in the forgotten realms. Characters submissions should have a decent backstory and be prepared to give good descriptions of actions. No min/maxed super power builds. Characters should have flaws, starting from humble means. The kind of person that would embark on a dangerous voyage of undetermined length in hopes of making their fortune. Multi-classing is not preferred currently, but may be possible later ( possibly lvl 7).
you can use standard array or manual rolling here in this thread. For manual rolled, you get whatever you roll, in order str, dex, con, etc… no reroll of ones. If the character is too weak to even be viable, complete reroll. Choose your class based on your stat roll.
only need two, but will consider a third

Hi, looks like a lot of fun! My submission is a tabaxi swashbuckler called Eclipse Faraway.
Eclipse Faraway is, literally, a rogue. Not evil, but, shall we say, misguided...
When he was a lad, perhaps eight summers, Eclipse's father earned the protection of a noble through an unexpected kindness. But the father -- and mother too -- soon perished. The noble took in the son, and Eclipse was raised as a ward. Not to say that the noble was kind hearted. No, Eclipse's adopted family was political, selfish, arrogant, narcissistic. And living among them, at first, the tabaxi was more like a slave than a son. But the boy was smart. And he saw how the wealthy live, and he learned fast. He ingratiated himself with them, almost getting himself into the will and pushing out the rightful heirs while he was still a teenager. This involved some serious deception, and when he was discovered, he ran away, taking a considerable sum, which he spent, within a few months, down to the last copper. And so he finds himself adrift on the seas of fate -- and maybe the actual seas too -- looking for employment...
A Jack-of-all trades, he is a compelling storyteller, never forgets a lyric or a melody, has an excellent ear, and has what it takes to be a world-famous lutenist. But behind the veneer, he's a mess. He lives as a swashbuckler, constantly risking death, drinking with abandon, always in discomfort, and for no good reason. Forever trying to prove himself to... a memory.

Throgg Ashfang, once a seasoned deckhand aboard The Emberwake, spent years navigating treacherous seas and smuggling goods through storm-choked waters. But when a fiery mutiny left the ship in ruins and its captain lost to the depths, Throgg barely escaped with his life. He now searches for another vessel to call home.
Backstory: Ulysse was hatched in a small fishing village where he discovered his love of life on the sea. Five years ago, Ulysse was aboard a merchant ship when a sudden storm hit and the ship wreaked and sunk. Ulysse was one of only a handful of rumored survivors, but being lost at sea had awoken something in him. He found that the struggle of survival triggered some natural responses from his body tapping into arcane energy like he had never known before. Whether granted by the storm itself or brought forth something that had always been inside him, Ulysse was unsure, but his new found power was what helped him survive and eventually finding his way back to shore. Ulysse now finds himself following the money as he goes from crew to crew looking for grand adventures and unlocking his new powers.
