The fey girl with the long curly red hair is relieved to see her two dear friends emerge from the barrow unharmed, but cries out in anger and fury as the dust entity harms her little Tempest, a fey wand appearing in her hand which she points at the enemy with a glare and unleashes two beams of eldritch green force towards it.
She does this as she threateningly marches closer to the enemy, but with a snarl she disappears back to where she started,
Dreadful step, Wis save 16 or Psychic: 10
Tempest unceremoniously drops the dragonslayer to the ground and draws her own fey blade, sending it in a wide arc against the dust creature. Fey blade: 24 Force: 12
She then disappears and appears next to Maddie before summoning darkness around them to hide them both. (Tricksy step)
Willow simply turns invisible and flies off to hide at Maddies shoulder.
Gareth follows the others outside of the barrow, and they wait for what seems like quite a while. Just when the ranger is about to ask how much longer, Willow and Tempest come flying out of the barrow, Tempest crying out in Sylvan about a monster chasing them. Sure enough, an angry cloud of dust is hot on their heels. Gareth feels a sliver of relief that it's not the reanimated skeleton of the dragon below.
He unleashes two arrows at the dust monster, focusing all his attention on the creature.

Kithran watches the two fairies fly out of the room, and he listens to Tempest's frantic warnings. His maul at the ready, the flames red hot, he dashes toward the wind monster. Lord Kithran swings his maul in two mighty arcs, smoke trailing his maul.
1st attack: 24 to hit, 11 bludgeoning, 2 fire, and 15 radiant.
2nd attack: 24 to hit, 15 bludgeoning and 10 fire.
He turns and yells at the wisp. "FIght! Prove your worth!"
Zephyros, trained and practiced to react under the swiftest of moments, lunges toward the entrance as soon as the fey shout.
"At least it wasn't the dragon!" Ironheart roars as the battle commences. The bearded bear moves up right next to the tiny but mighty death knight, and proceeds to attack a total of four times.
Meira'sarrow crackles with magical energy as it enters the vortex. The Will-o-wisp flies forward and sends a jolt of lightning at the monster, just missing its target. Zephyrosruns forward and stabs wildly at the creature, his magical trident disrupting the magic keeping the monster together. Maddieblasts the monster with green energy twice and runs forward, only to teleport back to her starting location. Her dreadful step seems to have no effect on the monster. The summoned Fey Spirit, Tempest, attacks with her master before turning into a silvery mist and creating a darkness so dark, no light can penetrate it. Garethfires two arrows in quick succession. His magical arrows also crackle with energy as they enter into the vortex and disappear. Lord Kithran steps forward next to the taller bearded bear and strikes at it with his firey maul. Divine energy surges into the weapon as it strikes and spreads through the creature like a brain's synapsis before the death knight follows it up with a second backhanded blow. The last blow proves unnecessary as...
...the group collectively obliterates the whirlwind of dust in a split second after it emerges from the Dragon Barrow. A shockwave of dust and wind centered on the energy monster spreads out in all directions signifying its demise. Tempest's darkness dissipates with the dust. A finely crafted shortsword lies at the feet of Zephyrosand Lord Kithran.
Zephyrosalmost chucks at how fast he and his allies killed this monster, but his attention is quickly averted to the magical armament before him. Kneeling down, Zephyrosquietly picks the sword up and dusts it off. "A very fine blade indeed,"Ironheartcomments. "A fine blade best suited for your expertise, Mister Blackwood."The veteran carefully hands it to the nimble hunter. Zephyroscontinues, "You may think of yourself as a hunter, but in truth, I have rarely seen tougher warriors. It will be a formidable tool in your hands, Gareth."
Meira remains with her bow in hand, watching the spot where the dust creature had been. "Well, we were certainly efficient," she remarks with a slight smile. Looking at Tempest, she adds, "Took you long enough to get that thing out of there!" Her smile shifts to a grin to show she was joking. "A good job though."
As the air and dust settle, she steps forward a bit trying to get a look at the sword as Zephyros passes it to Gareth. "I do hope we grabbed the right one." (Investigation: 14)

"I think we killed it," Gareth says dryly, glancing down at the shortsword.
He nods at Maddie. "You and your little friends are quite capable," he says, speaking in Sylvan. "I almost feel bad for the dragons."
