Finch and Krakk both notice a human corpse half-buried in the underbrush about fifteen feet from the road. The young man appears to be a commoner. His muddy clothes are torn and raked with claw marks. Crows have been at the body, which is surrounded by the paw prints. The man has obviously been dead for several days. He holds a crumpled envelope in one hand.

"There's a corpse there, seems like a letter in this hand, let's check it, may give us some clue to where we're at."

Finch moves up to the corpse and takes the letter and reads it aloud.

Rell watches and listens intently. Information is always an asset. 

 "I would have made sure the corpse is really dead, first." Tingting says and let's out a sigh.

Hearing Ting state that the corpse could be a threat Anchor takes his maul and smashes down on its head a few times. 

Wiping the spattered gore from her face, Finch says, "Warn a girl before you do that..."

"All threats should be dealt with swift judgment..." Anchor will wipe his maul and wait for Finch to finish reading.

Krakk pulls the letter from the dead mans hand, and thought it’s damp from the rain, he’s able to open it without tearing the letter. It reads:

After hear Finch finishes speaking "I suppose it's time for us to procces to this Burgomaster Indirovich.  We can establish a base and figure out our status..."

"Fair enough."

"I don't get it. So the Burgomaster sent this letter to this person? Or sent this letter with this person?"

You notice the man has a pin in the lapelmof his coat, no caked in blood and gore. After a little inspection though, you recognize it as the seal that held the letter closed. 

Youre certian this man was ferrying the letter, not its recepiant. You also notice that a bag lay at his feet, it’s packed with rations and foodstuffs, as if he was preparing for a long journey. It’s likely that his place of departure isn’t far from here. 

"Odd. It seems he was supposed to deliver it. But to no one in particular." Tingting ponders a bit as she studies the pin. "Keeping visitor away... Either what the letter says is true and there's some vampire afoot, or this Burgomaster is hiding something himself and wants to be left undisturbed."

"This doesn't change too much in the short term.  We're still outside in the rain.  I'll keep the letter safe and we'll continue down the road."

"If we find the house he came from that may be a good place to stay"
