"I know I'm good with a blade, but my mirror image seems to be a bit better! But if you try and help me I don't know if another evil mirror will appear of you."
He then casts hex targeting str before swinging his sword twice himself (both actions) 11 and 14 to hit (I expect both miss but just in case) damage is 5 and 13.
The young gnome felt the connection as much as he saw the arching energy connecting him to the ghost woman. His brows furrow as he looks at the ghost, and immediately regrets it. The terror that emanated from the ghost was palpable. For a moment, Gooterat feared that he may actually wet himself. Pure terror stole his breath, and pain, like an arrow to the head, brought him to one knee. He cried out in agony, but managed to stay upright. The arc of energy flashed and faded slightly. Once again the gnome looked within himself, begging for the strength to hold the spell. He almost smiled when the energy surged again, as if the terror fueled his power.
Pleased as he was by the blast, Gooterat knew that he was holding on by a thread. He backed away, fear threatening his very reason. Raising his left hand he fought to maintain his witch bolt while hurling a ball of fire at the ghost. His hand shook so bad from fright that his aim was greatly compromised.

Gooterat shuddered under the knight's accusing glare. Fear gripped his chest like iron, and though he tried to summon another spell, his aim was unsteady. The crackling bolt fizzled harmlessly against the wall, leaving only the smell of scorched plaster. His Witch Bolt, however, did not need aim, and it struck true!
Boff swung his axe at the mirror. The first blow struck the mirror squarely, cracking it with a sound like splintering ice. The second shattered the mantle’s hold, and the mirror tumbled to the floor with a thunderous crash. It landed reflective-side up, glowing with an unnatural light. From its surface, the specter rose in full. A towering phantom, her spectral blade dripping with ghostly fire. She lashed at Boff with a vicious slice, but the dwarf twisted away. Then her clawed hand reached out for Gooterat. Shadows coiled outward, threatening to drag the terrified gnome toward the mirror’s surface unless he could break free.
Alaric
In the other room, Alaric reeled from his reflection’s assault. With a guttural curse, he thrust a hand outward. Flames engulfed the mirror-Alaric in a hellish rebuke. The armored double staggered, its grin warped by fire. Alaric seized the moment, whispering a hex upon the thing, then lunged twice with his longsword. Both strikes missed their mark.
The reflection countered in kind, its longsword cleaving through the air in a pair of savage swings. Both blows struck only empty space, the clang of steel on stone ringing out as Alaric narrowly avoided its strikes.

The mirror falls under Boff's powerful strikes. For a moment Gooterat thought that this may end before he becomes the next ghost in this house of lament. The moment was fleeting. Invisible hands, cold as the grave, grabbed him and pulled him towards the specter! Before he could even cry out he felt Rat's hand on his shoulder and a wave of magic coursed through his addled brain. He tried to say thank you, but "thAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!" is all that came out when the force continued to pull him towards the long dead warrior woman.
"No!" the little Gnome cried out, his heels digging in to resist a force that he knew he could not stop. "NO!" he screamed again, terror again fueling the magic that coursed through his small body. Another powerful surge of lightening energy pulsed through the witchbolt's arc. He hadn't the time to celebrate, though. The force drew him closer...
Sweat poured down Gooterat's face. He strained to hold the witchbolt's connection, and looked once more for another rabbit to pull from his hat. He found something else instead. Fear had fueled much of Gooterat's magic, but fear began to be pushed aside by anger. He held the witchbolt with his left fist, his right hand opening to form a small orb of lightening energy. As he released the magic the force pulled him the remaining distance, causing his attack to miss.
Boff's hammer came down with a thunderous crash, the final blow splintering the cursed mirror into a storm of shards. In the other room, Alaric's armored doppelgänger staggered as well ... its form impossibly breaking apart and collapsing into a heap of broken glass.
For a heartbeat, silence followed. Then the shards on the floor trembled. One by one, pieces of glass began to slide together with a terrible grinding scrape. Splinters joined, angles twisted, and the fragments rose into a jagged, terrifying shape.
The pile of mirror shards assembled into a figure, a knight, its body composed entirely of sharp edges and mirrored planes. Its sword was nothing more than a jagged length of razor glass glittering with firelight reflected from the trap in the fireplace. The creature turned its helm-like head toward Boff, light refracting through its hollow eyes.
With a sound of grinding crystal, it struck! The glass blade swung twice in quick succession, each blow cutting the air with a shriek.
But Boff stood his ground, each attack crashed against his shield, doing the warrior no harm and spraying the room with tiny splinters of glass.

How does a red dragon blow out the candles on its birthday cake?
The gnome breathes a sigh of relief when the mirror shattered beneath Boff's blow. He nearly smiled , but then, of course, the mirror reformed into something even worse.
"Mirror, mirror on the wall," Gooterat began, remembering some rhyme from the deep recesses of his memory, "not once but twice, you shall fall." His words were brave enough, but his hands trembled. Fear, again, brought power to the skinny gnome.
Raising his hands again, he drew power from the elements as well as himself. Lightening energy gathered between his hands and then arched out towards the knight
Alaric shouts through the fire. "Whatever you guys did killed the mirror me. But it injured me too much to make it through the fire. I can try hit your threat based on sound alone but I can't promise I will be much help!"
And true to his prediction of not being much help, Nat 1 on eldritch blast.
Boff and Rats pressed the attack, closing in on the looming figure of fractured glass.
Boff swung his hammer with all his weight behind it, but the weapon glanced wide.
Rats darted in low with his enchanted dagger. Silver Spark bit deep into the construct’s crystalline torso, and lightning rippled along its shards, bursting in bright cracks that made the creature shudder.
Away from the melee, raw power leapt from Gooterat's palms, and a crackling beam of lightning arced across the chamber. It struck the mirror knight squarely, blue-white lightning dancing across its jagged limbs and refracting in a hundred directions.
On the far side of the blue-flamed fireplace, Alaric tried to target the creature through the shifting glare, hurling a crimson blast of eldritch force toward the sound of the fray. The bolt struck stone instead, exploding in a flare of energy.
Cracks along the mirror knight's frame fused, shards knitting themselves back into place. The heroes had damaged it ... but due to some regenerative magic, it had just healed much of that damage! Then, with a sweep of its jagged arm, it unleashed a cone of dazzling brilliance. The chamber erupted in blinding white; Boff and Rats staggered as the light seared their eyes, struggling to shield themselves from the radiant glare. [Rats passed his Con save and is not blinded]
Before the warriors could recover, the knight’s glass sword came down in a pair of brutal arcs!
