(OOC: Works for me, Paysien! Honestly thought that was what we were waiting for at this point)
(OOC: Same. I'm ready, and I also thought that we were just waiting for you to move us along, @Paysien. 🙂
Have you worked out something with @Dreami_Noodle? I expected that they'd be posting to the game thread over the weekend, but maybe they're waiting to introduce Maxwell "in the morning"?)
(Shot them a PM; I'll check for a response tomorrow. Campaign'll probably move to the next day then unless they want to do something different to introduce their Paladin.)

Colten was awake long before the sun rose. Part excitement and part focus drove him to start work on spell scrolls. As he worked he kept reminding himself that this work may save someone's life so he must be disciplined and continue to work.
When Vogan wake’s up in order to begin cooking breakfast Colten will offer to help, removing one of his many daggers and will gladly chop ingredients. Colten will talk about how his mother was also a dungeoneer and trained Colten from a young age to hunt his own food. As he talks Vogan can tell this was not a happy childhood memory. It seems as if Colten feels fully detached from the past experience.
Dutrirr wakes at first light and after breakfast is ready to head into the dungeon.

Dreet "sleeps in" until almost sunrise. As soon as he's awake, he busies himself with checking and then repacking all of his gear. While he waits for the rest of the party to gather for breakfast, the dragonborn finds a spot just outside of the inn where he can sharpen and clean each of his many weapons. Focused on this task, he does not notice that some of the villagers gawk at the sight of a big dragonborn standing outdoors in Loam, his brass scales reflecting the early morning light. When he's done, Dreet returns to the common room to eat breakfast with the others.
Once he and Colten have finished breakfast, Dreet begins to get impatient to depart for the dungeon.
Having commendeered the inn As jovial and welcoming Vogan had been outside of a kitchen, he's a little more reserved and focus within one. At least that appeared to be the case this morning. So, when Coltan came by offering aid, it took a couple of tries to get the goliath's attention, and even afterwards he'd furrow his brows as if unsure. Yet in seeing genuine sincerity behind the offer, Vogan not only offered but insisted the elf use one of the goliath's spare kitchens, assuring he bore no disrespect for the quality for his compatriot's blade. But rather, Vogan merely wanted to spare the elf from needlessly needing to clean the weapon after.
Now if Coltan decided to switch to his daggers when Vogan wasn't looking, than it wouldn't take much effort at all. Although if he does, the moment Vogan sees the cuts he just sighs and grumbling something in giant before getting back to work. Even if disappointed, Vogan still listened with rapt attention to Coltan's story, and even inquired further into recipes Coltan's mother used back in the day. He in turn -- only briefly -- but in turn shared his own tale of having experimented with various cooking techniques as a kid, and the subsequent abyssmal failings at it. "Yet for whatever reason I... It never stopped me for keeping at it!" Vogan added with a grin.
Ultimately, he'd see to it that together they'd walk out with several plates of what he called "Weestrun Omelettes with a side of diced baked potatoes, and cups of freshly squeezed orange juice! But after everyone enjoyed the meal Vogan is just as eager if not even mroe so to get to the dungeon as well!

After you finish breakfast and pack up, you start the jaunt to the dungeon. The countryside is a bit hilly and not quite scenic, but it still is a rather enjoyable hike.
After rounding one of the many hills, you come into view of a wood-wrought guard's stop. The rickety building, even from a distance, appears hastily constructed. As you approach, a guard relaxing in the shade of the building marches up to y'all. "Halt! What business have you here?"
[[Corwin will not fully hear or comprehend Dreet's response. Corwin will sleep in according to his schedule, I as player am fully consenting to the scene of people waking him up at the crack of dawn.]]
(OOC: Since @Charwoman_Gene is out, I'll just imagine that there was a minor kerfuffle with getting Corwin going in the morning...)
...we realize that no one has seen Corwin yet this morning. After looking around the inn and checking at any merchants who have already opened up shop, someone goes to confirm that Crowin is still in his room, asleep. "It's already mid-morning! You're not even out of bed yet?!" Dreet would probably grumble about the delay and do whatever he could to hurry Corwin along, grabbing all of the man's gear and taking it down to the common room. Or even physically dragging Corwin out of bed and down to breakfast, if necessary.
While Corwin has breakfast, Dreet probably continues to stomp around, even the rattling of his weapons and armor sounding impatient. Or perhaps Dreet just sits by the door with his arms crossed, fuming. Literally! Thin, tendrils of smoke spiraling upward from his nostrils as he glares at Corwin.
Once the party actually gets going toward the dungeon, Dreet finally calms down, striding along the road with purpose but not particular hurry.
Colten gladly used Vogan’s knife. When Vogan inquires about Colten's mother's cooking he just laughs. "My mother never really focused on recipes. More like kill animals, drain the blood and stick it over the fire."
When Colten sees the guard he automatically attempts to gather an understanding of the guard’s current state of mind(Insight Roll: 24).
“Hello!! We are a newly formed team of dungeoneers. We are off to explore the dungeon as representatives of The Lord of Eldewick.”

Dreet stands behind Colten (clearly visible behind the elf). He plants his feet firmly and rests his hand on his greataxe in case the guard tries to make trouble for the party.
Vogan couldn't help but laugh a little at the answer, then say, "I see! The tried and true method that never dies! At least for those of us who can not go without a bit of meat in their meals, hahah! It's simple! But! Never should one disparage it all the same, as even within the seemingly crudest of methods artistry can be found!" He'd asserted before eventually slipping into companionable silence and finish making breakfast.
Much, much later...
If the need had arose Vogan volunteered to carry Corwin to the dungeon to let the man get plenty of rest in transit. But regardless of such, when the group came upon the guard's stop, the goliath stood towards the back of the group looking as calm as can be and more than content to let the others hash out the details. If he clocked on to the wariness of his companions, it never shows on his visage as well.

Unless anyone wanted to try something or had any misgivings about the guard, Vogan did much the same if they were given as much, as well as say, "Well met, friend! And say, do you know of anyone else passing through here on similar business? Dungeon delving, that is! Or at least claiming to be of a mind or minds to do so, anyhow!" He the lets out a hearty chuckle , and without thinking about it went to pat the guard on the shoulder.

Bored out of his mind.
The guard, upon hearing your responses, asks to see your licenses. He tenses up a small bit at the mention of the Lord.
