"Anyone who wants to take a closer look at the stone circle before we leave? The ravens have certainly taken an interest in it."The young priestess with the blonde braided hair says to the others, but she herself are quite unwilling to leave the children.
With his weapons cleaned and his armour checked, Vaelar stows his swords back in their sheaths and moves to stand off to the side of the children. He is obviously there to guard them from further harm, but keeping a distanace so as to not risk frightening them himself.
"I will stay with you to take the children back,"he says.
Although he was intensely curious to observe the magic used to free the trapped souls, he would see the children to safety. He made a mental note to ask about the process later.
"I fear these woods," Illmirth says with a dramatic, scared look around. "I will stay with Freek. Anyone brave enough to fight a coven of hags to try and save his sister is brave enough to see us safely to Vallaki."
As she prepares to go back to Vallaki, she glances towards the stones. At first they held no real significance then she saw..something?
No...that can't be...she lets out a gasp of indrawn breath as yes, before her eyes, a unicorn is seen grazing in the center of the stones. Her hand covers her mouth in shock and immense joy, a tear slowly makes its way down her blue skinned face.
The paladin unconsciously begins to ride towards the stones even as the vision fades. When she arrives, there is no sign of the animal but it doesn't matter, seeing a unicorn just once, made her want to burst in happiness. Taking a look around, she wonders why these stones were special to the creature.

Crisaryn nods to Lorelei. "Yes, whatever is happening at the stone circle does seem to have attracted attention. But perhaps we should get back to Vallaki." But then Alerya heads over towards the circle. "Or, at least I thought we were going."
Alerya senses that the ring of stones is old magic, old earth magic. Perhaps that is why she feels safe within it's bounds. The unicorn after all was known as being a Forestmaster by the druids.
She sees Indira standing at the centre of the circle then twelve ravens alight on the grass surrounding her.
You watch them and see movement , the Ravens were carrying a burden. Green light surrounds them and you see the transformation of their riders into humans. The warlocks have arrived. They are led by an old woman, a cheery face with wise eyes. She takes the soul pouches and whispers a few words You see the pouches open and ghostly remnants of the dead swirl around the circle then dissipate, leaving the circle to glow. She is Hilde.
The bard was committed to remaining with the children. He would have an opportunity to speak with Hilde and reward the ravens for their assistance later in the day. The little ones pulled at his heartstrings like a harp. He would remain with them, if for nothing else than to entertain them with his illusions and silly songs. They deserved a moment of respite, a few minutes to just be a child and turn their thoughts from memories of the hag's torment. His own painful memories surfaced from time to time, but he beat them back with a song, an illusion of a massive butterfly sitting on a even bigger flower, and the warmth in his heart when, for just one second, Myrtle smiled.

What an amazing day! Ridding the world of hags, seeing a unicorn!, witnessing a magical ritual, and seeing a unicorn!!
She hopes that the tasks they completed this day will help bring some cheer to the land. Everything is so shadowed and misty. Clearly the ravens are powerful allies which need to be respected.

Crisaryn stands and waits, watching as Alerya watches whatever is happening over at the circle of stones. She glances over a moment at the others, who seem to be entertaining the children. She decides to just stay where she's at. "Guess we're in no hurry," she mutters, not really to anyone.
Indira and Hilde turn to look at Alerya. Was that appearance of a unicorn a sending or just an illusion?
As Alerya watched the warlocks surrounded Hilde and once again shrunk in size to ride their sentinel ravens back to Vallaki.
Frederik cawed at them then settled on the pommel leather of Illmirths saddle being careful of the war blades on his talons. Vallaki, you see Hilde when you want.
You see that the blades are sheaths over Frederiks talons held in place by a small lock on the inside leg. You can make out the fact that they are finely worked steel that has been silvered. As Illmirth touches them Frederik pecks at Illmirths hands lightly No he says.
Illmirth smiles at his raven friend. The gentle reprimand was amusing to the bard. He knew that Frederik was an intelligent creature, but his independence and unique personality were positively fascinating.
"Be at peace, Frederik. I was simply curious about your war blades," he said as he gently strokes the soft feathers of the raven's head. "Will you fly with your friends, or ride back with us?"
Illmirth makes a little click click sound to urge his mount to begin walking back to Vallaki. Save the children, slay the coven, and back in time for lunch! He couldn't suppress a smile as the thought crossed his mind.
As the group moved down the road he hummed softly, feeling the flow of a new song forming in his mind.

Frederik digs his claws into the pommel carefully so not to damage the leather. Stay with you. Food? he asks, rubbing his crest against Illmirths hand.
Time to go home, days work finished?
Following his eyes you see the old windmill is engulfed in flames sending up a black plume of smoke. The Vallaki town guards will most likely have questions for you.
"Ah, little friend, a hero's work is never done!" he says with a smile. He pulls a bit of pork from his pouch and offers it to Frederik. "Surely the grim business with the coven is concluded, but we have much to do still. I should hope that the remainder of today's tasks should be far less dangerous, hopefully concluding at the tavern." He pauses briefly then asks, "Tell me of Hilde, and how the ravens came to work with people in this strange land."
