Illmirth listens to Crisaryn, ponders her comments and replies softly, "The hags were potent spell casters. We were well prepared to neutralize their strength with the silence spell. I am pleased that we ended their threat so efficiently, but I don't think we have seen the worst this place has to offer." Illmirth pauses for a moment, chewing his lower lip, searching his memory. "Kasimir, I believe was his name, the elf with a violate temper. I can't imagine he would part with so valuable an artifact for a fistful of silver. Only one way to find out i suppose..."

“Let him not vow to walk in the dark, who has not seen the nightfall.” — Elrond
The young priestess with the blonde braided hair would walk with the children, holding them close until they had reached the relative safety of Vallaki. She nods to herself as the dragon sorceress mentions there had been little challange so far in these lands. Apart from the strange wasting sickness that had claimed the old paladin they hadn't even had a scratch so far and she almost feared they were led in some kind of ruse. Hopefully this didn't mean they would lower their guard while searching out what they needed to confront the evil in the old castle.
Riding up to the wall you call ahead and are recognised. The guard at the gate nodded then pointed at the smoke, your doing? Surprising that Ole Bonegrinder burns so well. Go ahead and remember to tell the burgomeister about the mill.
He listened intently to Crisaryn, then nodded tactics and luck. No silence and you be dead. Take children to Ireena and see the burgomeister. Amulet can wait. Keep children safe.
"Yes, our doing."The young priestess plainly confirms. "The nighthags that lived there will never bother anyone ever again."She adds a bit grimly as she passes the guards at the town gate, keeeping the children close as she steers her steps towards the house of Ireena and her brother.
Illmirth offered the guards a friendly greeting. "Indeed, she speaks true. The wicked schemes of the hags and their vile dream pies have met their end." Seeing no more need to chat up the guards, he directs his mount towards the new home of the siblings. He hoped that they would be OK with taking on the young ones. The boy seemed strong in spirit, but the poor girl seemed deeply traumatized by their harrowing ordeal. He made a mental note to speak with Lorelei about just that. Perhaps some divine magic could help.

Crisaryn continues along with the others to the new residence of Ireena and her brother. She hoped they could drop off the children and move on to trying to find this Kasimir.
As they worked their way towards Ireena and Ismark's new house, Illmirth continues to amuse the children (and certainly himself as well) by casting minor illusions in rapid succession, creating an optical illusion of illusions of a gigantic pink flower running along beside them. It's leafy green arms pumping in time with its big floppy root-feet.
By the time they reached the house he was damp with sweat and sporting a little headache. Casting even cantrips in such quick succession proved more taxing than he thought it would be. It pleased him to see the children smile though, and he considered it a worthy sacrifice.

“Let him not vow to walk in the dark, who has not seen the nightfall.” — Elrond
Ireena could be seen in the front garden of their new house tending the intricate herb garden, she straightens with a bunch of spearmint in her hand. She appears surprised.
Well met you all, how did you find these two? Their families eaten too many dream pies? Freek, Myrtle come in we'll find you something to eat then wash up. She lifts them carefully down from horseback. Taking each of their handsshe led the way in. Tell me what happened, how are you involved? She asks the companions.
"We found Freek and Myrtle locked up in the old Bonegrinder, indeed another two children traded away to the nighthags for dream pies." The young priestess with the blonde braided hair explains. "The mill is burnt to the ground and the hags are no more. I believe the children would prefer to stay with you now."
The Baron will be in his office this afternoon, I'll take them in as orphans. Freek is old enough to be apprenticed, I'll try to find someone amenable. It would be best if I accompanied you all when you go to see him. Do you have any evidence against the hags?
"The children were locked in cages and bleeding from dozens of pin prices, torture from the hags. We also found a pile of old children's clothing, all that was left of the children taken before them. The hags were feeding the pie addicts their own children."

"Do we have evidence?" Crisaryn asks. "Is evidence needed? We saw the one hag attempt to purchase a child. We found these children locked away. We saw many bones! And just all that was in the mill!"
She just looks at Ireena, not understanding the reasons for her question.
The bard understands Crisaryn's frustration, but he also knows that Ireena is just asking what the local Burgomeister will ask; helping them to align their ducks (or some such saying he heard once). Taking a risk in assuming familiarity with the sorcerous, he gently places a hand on her shoulder. "Be at peace my friend. She seeks only to prepare us for the inevitable questions of the Burgomeister. We are new to these lands, and the hags sold their dream pies in disguise. Of course we are well justified in our actions, but it would be wise to be prepared." Illmirth removes his hand and offers her a sincere smile. His eyes were heavy from the burdon of his spell casting, but within them were nothing but compassion and warmth.
