Alerya bows respectfully and hopes they aren't interrupting a ceremony or something similar. The dark colors bring a sense of sadness to her as they are so unlike the colors of the general community.

"............anybody got any potatoes? We could drop a potato in each hole an' see which ones get viciously mauled by horrible monsters?"
As it seems they may have interrupted those here, Crisaryn remains silent, letting Illmirth's words suffice for the group. She looks around, trying to see if there is any indication of who might be the person they are looking for.
Here's the right place for Kasimir,..though I'm not sure he is fit for talking. He's taken it badly. We are here to stop anyone taking the body by force. See if you can persuade him of his alternatives.
The guard stepped up and rapped at the door. It took some time then a voice hoarse with grief answers, Come in!
The bard walked quietly towards the door. His light footfalls making barely a sound, as if even the soil itself remained respectfully silent. He gently pushed the door open and stepped inside.
"Our deepest sympathy, good Kasimir. Word of your loss has reached our ears. We come to you by the words of Madam Eva, although now that we stand before you I confess to being quite overcome with the depth of your grief. While we are here on business most important, I can't help but wonder if we may may aid in some way to sooth your broken heart."

Crisaryn follows after Illmirth, only offering a nod to Kasimir, letting the bard speak. She glances about to see if there might be some clue in the room to tell her more about the man. (Insight: 20)
The room is curiously neat and tidy, a basket of handmade lace and it's hooks on the floor as if waiting for a womans touch. Above the fire are bunches of herbs and spices, and nearby is a small table filled with potions.
In the middle of the room a woman lies in a coffin, the lid open. Strangely you do not feel as if you are with a dead person. Her unblemished skin and flushed cheeks make you think she is just sleeping, her long dark hair carefully combed around her. Ranelle. She smells of roses not the scent of decay.
"What kind of help do you need? We don't have the magic to bring her back." Alerya tries to think of what the man might need other than to bring back his loved one.

“Let him not vow to walk in the dark, who has not seen the nightfall.” — Elrond
Crisaryn gives a slight nod of her to Kasimir once again when he suggests they might help. Alerya had already asked the question in her mind, so she remains silent awaiting his answer.
The worst idea that Illmirth could think of is if she had turned into a Vampyr. But her flesh was too warm for that it is as though she was asleep. Poison perhaps? He wonders if Lorelei can help, perhaps one of the scrolls they had.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Lorelei Dawnwarden
The young blonde priestess had been following along in silence through the vistani camp, her hand on the scroll she had been given. She knew they had the power to bring back Ranelle but that would mean there would be another person who they wouldn't be able to revive. She prayed silently for guidance while studying the well kept corpse, wondering if it was magic at play.
You are here to find the Amulet of Ravenkind. What it is capable of you are not sure. One thing you can do is check her neck in case of a Vampyr bite, that and see what that thick gold chain was. She seemed to be kept just on that edge between life and death.
Surprising to you all are the sudden squeals from the bedroom following loud crying.
She's hungry, I've been forced to feed her goats milk, but she keeps screaming, he runs his hand through his hair and you suddenly see elven ears, small and just about pointed. Dusk Elf.
"I don't understand," Crisaryn says bluntly. "Why do you not answer us? What is the help that you need from us?" She glances at Ranelle. "And you say she is hungry? You feed her? How is it that she seems to be living and yet even the wise elders here are certain that she has passed into death? It just doesn't make sense."
I seek adventurers to find a resurrection scroll. I know of the knights at the Amber Temple, they are undead that oppose Strahd, they may have one available. That is the help I need!
If I take the amulet away from her she becomes grey and looks dead. I have tried a mirror to check for breaths but there are none. There are no heartbeats either. She rests like the just dead.
The baby fusses and screams for better food, I think from what the midwife says, that she may have colic.
And I, I am plagued by dreams of my dead sister, I haven't slept in days.
Crisaryn gives Kasimir a long long look. She then glances at Lorelei, "Maybe the scroll won't be difficult." She then turns back to Kasimir. "You mean Ranelle has the raven's amulet that we are looking for? She is then truly dead, and you are just preserving here hoping to miraculously get a scroll?"
She shakes her head at the rest of his woes. "This whole situation seems bad. What even happened to Ranelle in the first place?" She then pauses, "Are you thinking bringing Ranelle back will solve all these other maladies?"
"I don't see anything wrong with bringing back a loved one that has passed. If I had the magic to do so I would not hesitate, It would just be the right thing to do." She looks at her companions hoping for agreement, then back at Kasimir, "You say we need to talk to these ghost knights? We'll go."

The bard looked at the body from a respectful distance, but noticed only the gold chain. When the party recognized what she really had around her neck, the situation got more tricky. Turning to Kasimir, Illmirth said, "If we could find what you seek for Ranelle, you would no longer need the amulet that she wears, correct?" If that is the case, then to his thinking we do what must be done to obtain the holy symbol.

"Yes, if we have to, we can certainly visit the Amber Temple," Crisaryn agrees with Alerya. "I thought there might be a closer solution at hand though," looking again at Lorelei. "Of course, any allies against Strahd might be helpful to get to know."
They have the secrets of life and death. How do you think that Strahd became a Vampyr? It was his own choice. My own sister is lost to the Vampyr curse, she calls to me at night to save her and there is nothing I can do. Perhaps these knights and their lord could help her too.
