The heavy footprints are too large for a womans, and you doubt that a normal woman could carry the girl so far.
You see a quick flash of red from the boat, the man that you can barely see holds a fishing rod and is oddly still.
Frederik flies a recce around the boat then flies down to sit on it. He pulls more red fabric to the side of the small boat. You manage to make out that it seems to be a skirt. He bats his wings at the fisherman and nothing happens. Swiftly he flies back to Illmirth. Girl is tied on boat. Unable to free her, the rope is too tight.
Arrigal swears then starts pulling one of the larger rowing boats into the water.
"I'll take care of it," Crisaryn says as she slips off her cloak. Immediately she starts to motion with her hands and speak an incantation as she walks into the water. Casting Alter Self, she grows gills as well as webbing between her fingers. She dives into the water, staying submerged as she heads for the boat. (Swim Speed: 30 ft)
"Something does not seem right about this. Crisaryn, be careful out there," he says. "We have your back!"
As the sorceress begins to enter the water, Illmirth strokes the soft black feathers on Frederik's head. "Can you fly over her, little friend. Let us know if anything seems off, or if the man moves to attack her or Annabelle."
Illmirth turns his sharp eyes to the forest near the lake. He scans the trees for any sign of an ambush.

He flew over Crisaryn, keeping an eye on the lake to make sure there was no beast waiting for them.
Arrigal finally pushed the boat fully into the lake, would one of you help me? He inquires as he sorts the paddles out. Annabelle is terrified of the water! She can't swim.
Hearing Frederik's warning, Illmirth quickly chanted and gestured above the water by and slightly behind Crisaryn. Four globes of light blink into existence, illuminating what the mist tried to hide.
"Heads up!" he called to the aquaticly transformed sorceress. "You are not alone in the water. Make haste!"
The muscularly challenged drow then put his back into it, rowing with all his might.

Still beneath the water, Crisaryn barely hears the warning from the others. She does try to keep an eye out for any danger though and keeps moving quickly for the boat. (Perception: 17)
(OOC - With a swim speed of 30 ft I presume she can 'Dash' for 60 ft? She would do that, unless she has to slow down this round to try to take a look around. Also, she stays under the water as she has gills and figures that potentially hides her from the person in the boat.)
Crisaryn feels something try to grasp her right foot, it feels slimy and slides over her ankle unable to grasp her for long.
Lorelei peers into the water and can just make out Crisaryn ahead of them because the water is clear. She sees a figure to Crisaryns right, a woman with long straggly green hair and green skin with a dress of seaweed. She'd heard of Merfolk before but was not convinced this was one. The air smelt salty here as though one of the tributaries from the Lake flowed here. Maybe Arrigal would know.

The young blonde priestess hurries to get into the rowing boat, doing what she can to get them quick towards the fisherman.

Crisaryn makes good time and is halfway to the rowboat before the others get into the longboat and start rowing.
A mist starts to rise making visibility difficult.
The longboat carries 6 rowers and has a large area in the prow for a netted catch. It would serve for Annabelle unless something goes wrong.
The man in the boat is perfectly still ,a fishing line in the water behind him, he doesn't respond to your calls.
Frederik sees a movement in the water, something is following Crisaryn. Beware! he cries.
