"Quickly, the altar boy, we need to see where he goes!" The young blonde priestess says to the others as she passes them by, then quickly following the boy.
Perception to see where the boy is going: 23 + Guidance: 2
The boy ducks down a side street at a fast run, then down a side alley. You lose sight of him in the merchant district. No-one can be seen here as the merchants have all opened stalls in the town square for the festival. You wonder what he was carrying from the chapel.

Lorelei Dawnwarden
The young priestess with the blonde braided hair huffs in frustration as she realizes she has lost track of the altar boy, then marching back to the others. "He got away." She sighs. "I will try to find father Lucien and talk to him." She adds, looking around to see if she could find the priest.
(Another perception if relevant: 19 + Guidance: 2 )
Crisaryn had nodded to Rictavio when he asked her to give him a moment. But then with Illmirth jumping into the act with him, it seemed the chance to talk would be later, at dinner.
Lorelei then called out as she pursued the young boy for some reason. Not sure what was happening, she is slow to react, but tries to follow after. The blonde haired woman is already headed back by the time she catches up with her. "What happened?" she asks.
"The altar boy, I believe he has stolen something from the church. I need to talk to Father Lucien about it." The young blonde priestess explains as she scans the festival for the priest.
"I planned on using them for an act and giving them out to the children as part of the show," he replies. He is about to dive knee deep into talks and preparations when he noticed Lorelei. She was looking this way and that, and talking to Crisaryn in an animated way. "I smell trouble. I'll be back in a bit..." he quickly stashes the bag of dolls under the stage and takes off at a jog to join the team. He joins them quietly, picking up bits and pieces of what transpired. "How can I help?" he asks sincerely. When it's about to hit the fan, even the happy-go-lucky bard could get serious.

Crisaryn tells Lorlei, "I'll try and help." Then with Illmirth coming over she relays what she had learned about the altar boy stealing something from the church. "We just need to find Father Lucien now. Probably out enjoying the festival, but could he still be inside the church?"
"No, I don't think so, I saw him leave earlier, he's probably at the festival somewhere."The young blonde priestess says as she keeps scanning the festival grounds for Father Lucien. "I'm not sure how urgent this is now that I've already lost the boy though, you could probably stay here if you want." She adds, seeming mostly relieved that she now had something to occupy herself with, although she was sincerely worried that the altar boy actually had stolen something from the church.
Rictavio looks at the bag of dolls and smiles, hopefully the young bard, Illmirth was his name, would be back soon. He carefully put the sack back down, and continued to cut in half one of the mothers to the awws and ahhs of the children and watching parents. One of his favourite illusions.
You search for Father Lucien and finally spot the edges of a robe in the morninglords colours, he was by the stocks with a waterskin that he pushed to the mouth of the three prisoners one at a time, then he placed the donkeys head masks back in place. He seemed to be quite happy, an off tune whistle from his lips.
"There he is." The young blonde priestess says to the others as she spots the priest, then walking quickly with determined steps after him.
"Father Lucien, apologies, I feel I need to speak to you about something." She says as she catches up with the priest. "I believe your altar boy might have taken something from church, something he wasn't supposed to, somthing fitting into a sack, like a stick."She quickly explains, hoping the priest could shed some light on what she had observed.
Crisaryn follows along with Lorelei in the search for Father Lucien, if she lets her. She's glad once he is found, though really she has nothing more to add than what Lorelei had to say. She is curious as to what might be going on though.
Father Lucien stood up and eyed Lorelei and Crisaryn. Straightening his robes he took a deep breath. Which one, describe him for me. Milivoj may have taken the kindling out of my bedroom, his mother is very ill and bed bound. He is a brawny lad with a perpetual frown, he tends the cemetery and crypt, dark curly hair and brown eyes, what little I have to pay him is feeding his entire family since his father died. Yeska is blonde and in training to succeed me as cleric here when I retire, he sleeps in the spare room at the chapel. Tell me exactly what you saw. We should check the chapel just in case
"I believe it was Milivoj that I saw leaving church," The young blonde priestess explains. "And I don't think it was merely kindling he had in that sack, but yes, let's go and see for ourselves what might be missing." She agrees and is ready to follow along back to the chapel.
Illmirth follows along as well. Having not noticed the lad he had little to add, and waits to follow Lorelei's lead.
Noticing Frederik, he offers him a smile and produces the last bit of pork in his greasy treat pouch. "Here you go buddy! I need to restock when we are near the roasting pig."

Following others back to the church, Crisaryn says, "It seems quite plausible that the boy had kindling. Though the tale of the state of Milivoj's family at least gives reason to see why he might have tried to take something more. Though better to investigate first before making more speculations."
Father Lucien sighed and a frown darkened his normally jolly face. Let's be at it then. The sooner this mess is sorted out the better.
He led the way back to the church calling out a greeting to Rictavio as he passed through the wrought iron gate to the chapel. The large door creaked as he drew it open.
Here let's check for kindling and wood first, my room is the largest on the left, Yeskas is the small room past the kitchen on the right.
He led the way into his room. Wood and kindling were neatly piled by his small fireplace.
The bard says, "I'll check the kitchen." He darts off down the hall to a quick survey of the wood stock, calling his findings back towards the others.

Illmirth finds the small fire has been used recently and a small kettle of aromatic herbs is being kept warm by the cinders. The kindling and wood pile seem to be intact.

Lorelei notices that the sack looks like there are some form of stick jutting the sides. The boy looks shiftily around then heads off in a run.
