"Alas, but I do not," he replies to Lucien.  "We battled a vampyr spawn in the formerly defiled temple in Barovia Village.  The priest's son was turned, then returned to him to feed.  Doru, he was called I think, but I digress.  Is Hendrik such as he?  A spawn under the control of Strahd, or is he somehow more powerful?  Doru was starved in the cellar of the church, perhaps the vampyr are stronger when they are well fed?"  he mused, trailing off in his thoughts.  He immediately snaps  back to attention if anyone can shed some light, so to speak, on the subject of lesser vampyrs.

Alerya

The blue skinned Paladin stretches out her hands while she closes her eyes in concentration. She mentally scans the surroundings feeling for the presence of foul creatures.

Divine Sense. As a Bonus Action, you can open your awareness to detect Celestials, Fiends, and Undead. For the next 10 minutes or until you have the Incapacitated condition, you know the location of any creature of those types within 60 feet of yourself, and you know its creature type. Within the same radius, you also detect the presence of any place or object that has been consecrated or desecrated, as with the Hallow spell.

Crisaryn Melkial

Crisaryn is about to speak up that she doesn't know how to locate the vampyr. But then she sees Alerya. 'Of course!' she thinks. Hopeful she will find a path, she prepares to head off wherever she might direct. 

Lorelei Dawnwarden

The young blonde priestess merely shakes her head at father Lucien's question, her focus on the blood-stained handkerchief which she gently picks up for closer examination.
