Vakas (With a 10) you clamber through the gap but take 2 bludgeoning damage as a stone rolls onto your left foot. The escaped prisoner Sara also trips and cuts herself crawling through after you.
Thannadol, Dealuri and Skritch you follow and (with a 19) make the climb through without injury.
You are all now inside the Kobold keep and you feel the electric tingle of magic infusing the air here. You all feel a slight tremor beneath your feet that grows in intensity and then suddenly fades. Tonnes of rubble have fallen on this once-luxurious bedchamber. The splinters of a rich four-poster bed are strewn across the floor, mingling with scattered coins and the dust of pulverized flagstones. The collapsed tower you climbed in through has also smashed through part of the eastern wall, and you can smell burning excrement and hear the sound of low, chittering voices emanating through the narrow gap wall. There is also a closed door at the southern end of the room currently blocked by fallen rubble.
It would appear that this decimated room was once the chamber of someone important.
Skritchwould love to collect the various scattered coins - not to be some rich ekorre strutting around with his fur all groomed and an entourage and what not, you understand - it's just that spell components can get expensive and he'd like to be able to help as much as possible. However, he will hold off until Vakashas scouted ahead, checked out the voices through the crack, etc.
In the meantime he'll resummon Sunhill and telepathically impress upon his steed the need to keep everything quiet and on the dee-el, as the humans he's met in the prime-material keep calling it. As best Skritchcan understand it the 'DeeEl' is like that post-zoomies period where you just lie still, belly up, waiting for your gut full of nuts to digest.
