Vakas looks over to Thanadol, holding out the pouch of silver they collected from the kobold adventure, saying “If you need some silver for your robe, please, take from this. But not too much now! Hah! I’ll uh, hold onto the coin, for ah accounting purposes.” He beams a smile at Thanadol, then focuses back on Emire. “Do you have any collection of holy water? Some simple scrolls?”

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Acolyte Emire listens- to your request Thandol (politely ignoring the fact you called her Jemile, though she does smile at the slip). "For books and scrolls you might try the library tomorrow." she offers, "It is closed for today for private study and contemplation. We do carry a selection of potions that may interest you." she leaf's through her ledgers and pushes forward a list of potions held in the stores along with their relative costs:
Antitoxin (vial) - 38 gold
Oil (flask) - 2 silver
Potion of Healing - 38 gold
Potion of Climbing - 38 gold
Potion of Hill Giant Strength - 50 gold
Potion of Uncanny Silence - 20 gold (OOC: Homebrew - for one minute you make no sound while speaking but can still cast spells with a verbal component)
Potion of Heroism - 175 gold (only one in stock)
Uncommon Potion Ingredients - 25 gold
Empty Vial - 1 gold
Empty Flask - 5 silver
While the wizard ponders the potions an acolyte appears with a selection of robes and Acolyte Emire presents them to you Dealuri. Seeing an absence of advice from your companions she suggests a rather nice looking grey robe with a wide hood and deep blue trims on the collar and sleeves. "I believe this one will suit you, but of course you may take your pick."
She then turns to answer your question regarding holy water Vakas and laughs brightly at the question, "Well that is easy, help yourself." she points toward a deep round pool of water in the centre of the courtyard. In the centre of the pool stands a tall black obelisk that seems to drink in the light, and as you grow closer it also seems to soak in the sound from the vicinity. Standing next to the pools edge is the most uncanny thing, as if the whole world is shrouded in silence and shadow. You reflect that Víðarr is named the silent god after all.
Skritch tells Sunhill, "Boy, who's a good boy? You, er, are. Yes, you!" and he sends Sunhill to check in on the rest of the gang, occasionally taking a few moments to see through Sunhill's eyes to make sure for himself that everyone's okay.
And, as he brews his concoction, he keeps finding himself tapping a paw as he hums the groovier parts of Rachus' latest ditty. Possibly in tune. But Skritch firmly believes that tunes and notes and staves and counts and so forth are more a collection of friendly suggestions than they are a set of strict instructions.
Dealuri accepts with thanks the suggestion from Acolyte Emire about the robe and pays for it. She dons the garb and does a little spin in pleasure. Dealuri pats Sunhill on the head when their paths cross and she returns to her room to quietly practice sleight of hand tricks with her deck of cards. She would really prefer to explore the temple, but the elf's warning remains in her memory.
Vakas takes out his silver and purchases 3 flasks, then walks into the courtyard and bends down, sitting beside the pool with the obelisk in the middle. He fills up the three flasks with the water, then stores them away, a self satisfied smile on his face. He looks at the obelisk and sees if there is any writing, looking all around the pool with interest. Then he walks back to Thanadol, looking to see what he has purchased.

(OOC: FYI, Skritch has nothing to do unless a ruckus kicks up. Just potions - which take 8 hrs each - and long rests. Just taking cues from DM at this point. But don't hesitate to come grab him, if needed!)
Vakas and Thandol you make your purchases (please add the items to your inventory) and in filling your flasks Vakas you see no markings on the obelisk. The surface is smooth and seems to drink in the light.
Your purchasing done you both head to the temple hall to speak to Overseer Jemile. (Dealuri do you follow or head back to the rooms?).
The Overseer is an imposing figure, they stand head and shoulders taller than all of you and something about them tells of giant blood. Wavy locks of golden hair hang about their shoulders and loamy brown eyes peer down at you beneath thick well groomed eye brows. Upon hearing your desire for work they frown briefly in thought before giving a soft chuckle that sounds like a river running over rocks.
"It is not usual for guests to seek employment from this hall," they say in a smooth melodious voice, "But I think I may have just the task for seasoned adventurers such as yourself. Meet me here one hour beyond dawn and bring any of your party that wills it. It will be the work of a few hours and I will pay twenty gold for your trouble to be split as you desire. I may also be able to provide aid for your onward journey depending on our success. On the morrow I will introduce you to the founder of this temple and will require your aid in settling his restless spirit."
Unless you have any questions for the Overseer they will then excuse themselves and leave you to retire...
Does anyone have anything else they would like to achieve before we take a long rest?
OOC: Apologies for the delay in posting I have been on the road and internet has been sparse!
Vakas walks back to his room to rest, if he sees Skritch and everyone else, he says “Good prices, but I just don’t have enough gold. I got some holy water, it would be good to be able to heal ourselves. The Overseer mentioned a mission, a task for us in the morning… Let’s get some sleep and get ready. Thank you for the goodberries Skritch, very filling.”

Well... I do have this magnifying glass here, how much would you say it is worth? He will pull it out and give it for observation.
I will sell this too you for as much as this is worth I fancy magic.
Emire appraises the magnifying glass Thandol. Clearly quite taken with the unusual item. At last she offers you 80 gold pieces for it.
Do you accept?
DM - Warlock of Firetop Mountain
Sure, it's a deal. Now let's see... What do I want to get with those 80gp...
I'll take a Potion of Healing and two potions of uncanny silence

"Yep, I am ready to see what the next day brings" says Rachus as he turns in to sleep.
Ditto

Thannadol considers! Then nods slowly, yes... This is perfect. We except your mission and will see you in aa bit.
OOC: I will have to homebrew those potions of uncanny silence and have been busy, I'll get to it in a bit.
Skritch lets the party know that he'll put aside any new potion making on the morrow for any new chance of joyous adventure.
In the meantime he'll rest up after a hard afternoon of doing science.
We'll, okay, alchemy.
We'll, okay, cooking.
