Krakan walks up out of curiosity to hear the end of this conversation, interjecting at the end, "The sign of a good fair bargain is that neither side is happy at the end. Isn't that so?" *Big grin* "We have come across the sands facing several odd dust monsters and scorpions, it is good to be here! So, you mention spice in tea, who is selling tea and who is selling spice here? They may have a buyer. It is hot and dry out on those sands! Also, anyone know of a better deal on the price of water?" Krakan waits for his friends to come around toward him but he wants to get the conversation started.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Salty joins Krakan. His ears perk up at his question about water, so he waits to hear what they say, although he doesn't have much hope for a lower price. He does make a quick mental note to as the guard about any known danger on the remainder of their journey.
Samir laughs at the price of water then asks "If you ask for 10gp for the water, what do you pay the suppliers? This seems like it could be an easy way to retirement."
The water merchant looks Lucan and Samir with an appraising eye "I am the only seller of water here. So, business has been good." To Samir "More coin means a better retirement. Who wants to work until they drop dead one day"
Jamal does a small flourish with his hand and says "I am the purveyor of saffron and tea if you have the coins that is"
Karim throws down 35 silvers and takes the pouch "If you want swill water then be my guest and buy from Jamal. Though if you want good tea come see me. At least I won't try to fleece you of your coins. Its 1 silver for a cup of tea"
Jamal gives Krakan his most charming smile "I have some exotic options for tea if you are interested. A mere 1 gp for a tea you hav never tasted before."
Karim shakes his head and waits to see what Krakan does next.
As an afterthought, Jamal says "In regard to the water merchant perhaps if you were to buy some tea or saffron from me then I can help you with the water merchant"
Samir moves away from the water-scalper, shaking his head at the audacity of charging such steep prices for a bit of water. He looks around the marketplace for exotic foods of the land, wanting to try a local flavor.
Salty you get a read on Jamal that he puts snake oil salesmen to shame as this man can practically sell sand to people who live in the desert.
Looking around there are other merchants' road weary though not weary enough to not show off where they have been lugging through the desert. Simple day to day items though some fresh fruit such as muskmelons, Fig, and Pomegranate.
Near the large rib cage seems to be rougher type of people showing off why they have hunted with some bragging about their feats. There seems to be a prize of some sort for whoever has the best kill. The best ones seem to be either the giant scorpions or the large hunk of purple flesh that the hunter claims came from a purple worm. Though some of the others are doubting her claims as she claims to have killed the purple worm on her own.
"I'm not fer knowin' which ways fer bein' where," he mutters. He pauses a moment, looking back at where they entered the area and getting a bearing on the direction they will be traveling when they depart. When he has a notion of their intended direction he gravitated towards the ribs. He listens closely to the stories, trying to get a feel of the possible dangers that lay ahead.

He will move around and listen in as well to see what the travelers, merchants or others might be chatting about from a discrete distance or while looking at wares for purchase. He keeps an eye on the others to ensure he gets back to them fairly quickly.
Krakan walks over to where the boasting is occurring, listening to the stories and examining the evidence brought in of the kills in the desert. He stands beside Lucan and listens for anything interesting.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
"Seems an awful lot of boasting about simple kills. Should we ask them about the creature we faced on our way in? Perhaps we will win the contest? We may also get more information about what it was and how common they are."
Man (squinting at the chunk, voice low and amused): “So… that’s your Purple Worm, huh? Looks more like a boiled turnip to me.”
Woman (tightening her grip, eyes flashing): “Boiled turnip? It’s half the beast itself. I cut it straight from the worm’s hide after it nearly swallowed me whole.”
Man (laughing, stepping closer): “Half the beast? A worm that size—Gargantuan, teeth like boulders—and you’re carrying a hunk that fits in one arm? Sure, let me believe that.”
Woman (smirking, leaning in): “Believe it or don’t. I survived. That’s the proof. Your scorpions? They’d be lunch to this worm.”
Man (tilting his head, voice teasing): “Or maybe it was a hallucination. Sand, sun, and too many stories. I’ve seen hunters come back claiming dragons, only to show me lizards with glitter on their backs.”
Woman (snaps back, voice icy, grin widening): “Doubt me all you like. The desert doesn’t lie. My worm—or what’s left of it—does. Next time we meet, it’ll decide who’s telling the truth.”
Man (chuckling, shaking his head): “Fine. But until then, I’ll trust scars over slime. Always.”
Woman (holding the chunk high, smirk playful): “And I’ll trust cunning over claw. Let the dunes decide which hunter survives.”
A pudgy man in simple tan robes and wearing a fez hat gesture to the crowd including the party "What say you travelers of the sand. Does she speak truth and is worthy of the prize. A magic carriage that moves without any beasts of burden and can move among the sand dunes like a ship in the sea? Perhaps she lies and should be cast out? There will be a vote in 5 minutes. Take your time checking what they hunted if you wish"
Privately with the others, "There could be possibilities here perhaps. A fantastic story and who knows. There could be partial truths to it. What if it was a young one."
Krakan considers the man’s words as well. (Nat 1). He sounds like a stand up guy. “Sure, sounds good to me…”. He looks at the others and nods affirmatively.

The party can also roll nature checks to affirm its flesh from a purple worm or something else.
Nature Check DC 16
on pass you affirm it is flesh from a purple worm.
If the party wants, they can move up and investigate the hunk of flesh
Investigation DC 16
on pass you discover a sever wound created by a great claw that does not match anything weapon the hunter woman is carrying.
Most of the party cannot discern whether she speaks the truth or not
Lucan gets the vague feeling that hunter woman is holding something back.
