"If yer fer needin' help den ye ain't fer winnin' fair 'n square," he says then returns to the team.
"I'm not fer trustin' none o' 'em," he says plainly. "Maybe we're fer winnin' da contest. I got me some gold dust from da big dirt dog." He shows the dust to the guy running the contest and tells him of their battle

“Let him not vow to walk in the dark, who has not seen the nightfall.” — Elrond
Lucan chimes in, "I guess it a flip of the coin then. Unless we can get some kind of read on them two its a bit of a guess, I think. I'm ok however it goes I suppose."

"She wants help to win? How? Did she say anything more? I don't know, can't put my finger on it, but I trust her about as far as I can throw her. But maybe that's how things are done out here. Let me know if you need my help to put the smack down somewhere." Krakan grins. "Or if you need me to turn out the light."

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.

The pudgy man with the fez hat comes forward towards Salty. "It seems we have a 3rd entry in the contests and what a battle with the sands beneath our very own feat."
The woman hunter scowls at Salty
"Some sand elemental is not prize worthy of an actual purple worm such as mine."
The male hunter chimes in as well "Whoa now don't be forgetting my giant scorpion. At least I have the body intact. Who wants to look at a pile of gold sand in a trophy case"
Salty returns the woman's scowl. "Get ye gone. Yer tales fer bein' half truth at best." Salty makes no effort to hush his remarks. Valkur wants his followers to achieve glory, but there is no honor in using deceit to win.
Clearing his throat, Salty steps to the helm, as it were. "Travelin' cross da sands we were, mindin' er own business, me 'n me mates," he motioned to the team. "Just dodgin' da sun 'n durn'd wind when all around us da sands exploded! Four fierce monsterous sand dogs seemed to form from yon sand itself! Bright blue eyes, claws fer cuttin' platemail, and da durn things were fer makin' sand typhoons! Long we battled, 'n when we was fer lookin' good dey poofed back in da sand. We wasn't long fer celebratin'. Massive was da next whirlwind o' sand, 'n in da eye was a giant sand dog! War we waged, but yon beast was tough as a captain's glare. Nearly fell we did, but den Valkur answered me calls fer helpin'. A spit o' rain fell, softenin' up da beast. Where he fell dis gold sand was got. Am I fer missin' stuff?" he asked the group.
Throughout his tale he offered dramatic reenactments of fierce cuts and last second parries.
He listens to Salty's tale of the fight they had, and he hoots and cheers at the appropriate time during the tale, "The truth of for sure. We barely made it here. A possible Omen maybe. Each of us put our lives on the line more than once and truth be told we survived on skill and cunning."

Salty please razzle dazzle the crowd with how you got the gold sand.
You can also roll persuasion or performance instead.
