Blaze begins to look around to see if anything is moving (Perception - 19) “While this place looks so magnificent and I can’t wait to look inside, I have a bad feeling about this.”

As he can't see the citadel due to the darkness, Alexander isn't as excited as everyone else. Looking over to where everyone else is looking he will look real hard, trying to spot anything. "I'll take your word that's it's there, truth be told I can't see anything in the in that darkness down there. In any case let's not wait around here. Glory awaits us inside."

“Spirit. In every language in all the Realms, surface and Underdark, in every time and every place, the word has a ring of strength and determination. It is the hero's strength, the mother's resilience and the poor man's armor. It cannot be broken and it cannot be taken away.”
Irina will also gasp a the sight, pull out a book from a bag and start taking notes on the appearance and nature of the castle, "Truly fascinating, it managed to survive the subsidence, perhaps it was caused by Ashardalon?...here Alex, a torch might come in handy" she'll begin to mutter musings about the castle, the architecture and what it hints about the era it was built... As she walks shell put the book of notes back, thenpull out a torch, using prestidigitation to light it, before passing it to Alex, to aid his sight, smiling at him, fire reflecting off her golden eyes.

Taking the torch from Irina Alexander finds himself grateful for the light. "Think you for the torch, it is very much appreciated. I must say, if you don't mind me saying, your eyes are lovely in the firelight." After what s sure to be an awkward pause he continues, "Come, let's continue on to the citadel, we don't want to fall too far behind the others."

Irina's mouth hangs open for a few seconds before turning away, tail slapping the floor rapidly as the group continues on "I , um, Er- thank you Alex- yes lets continue" Irina is a bit overwhelmed st the fact of recieving two compliments in one day and attempts to retreat into her hood, pulling it around her face slightly on reflex.
The narrow stairs empty into a small courtyard, apparently the top of what was once a crenellated battlement. The buried citadel has sunk so far into the earth that the battlement is now level with the surrounding cavern floor. The floor stretches away to the north and south, and it is apparently composed of a lair of treacherous, crumbled masonry, which reaches to an unknown depth. To the west looms the surviving structure of what must be the Sunless Citadel. A tower stands on the west side of the courtyard.
Oswald shakes his head at Blaze, "A bad feeling? About what? This marvelous citadel? Preposterous!"
Turning to face their ranger he continues, "Are seismic events common in these parts? Your connection to the land might yield an insight of tremendous value to the shareholders of Muckbuckle and Raulnor."
As he is conversing with his comrades, Oswald's guard drops, he is standing straighter, although obviously not taller, and his shortbow points towards the floor.

As Opal comes within sight of the Citadel she is similarly awestruck and does nearly the same as Irina. She will retrieve a notebook as well, but most of her notes consist of drawing. As she completes her notes and is putting her notebook away she notices Irina doing the same and seems curious about this. She will continue to be ready with her daggers and scan the area for other creatures or hazards. perception 12
Blaze still excited, he looks to Oswald and expresses, “Its so beautiful and yes magnificent, but how long do you think this was here? Think of all the things that could come and go through this place. Maybe even live here. An abandoned fortress for us to randomly stumble upon? It’s too good to be true.”
"Oh most certainly not abandoned. These tracks are relatively fresh. We should be on our guard." Opal whispers forward to him. "But an incredible structure for us to explore and hopefully find the humans."

"By the warnings up top we can be sure there are goblins around and who knows what else. We should also be on the lookout for any traps that may be left over when this place used be above ground."

Irina will begin musing to herself as they move into the exposed battlement, "Perhaps the dragon cult that worshipped Ashardalon still lives here, oh the secrets they could tell would certainly be interesting...er yes lets be careful!" Her voice will trail off as she realises meeting an ancient cult in a dark citadel probably wouldn't be a fun time at all and she pulls out her spell focus so she can be ready for anything.

OOC Oswald is definitely going to try and offer this to customers if he can find out how it's done.

Kai is similarly awestruck. He pauses to take it in, and then joins the march down to the sunless citadel.
