Finishing his meal he pushes the plate away from himself, feeling satisfied. "Now that all of the introductions are taken care of we need to decide where to start first. If this merchant Kerowyn Hecrule is offering a reward for finding her son and daughter, it may be a good idea to start there first."

“Spirit. In every language in all the Realms, surface and Underdark, in every time and every place, the word has a ring of strength and determination. It is the hero's strength, the mother's resilience and the poor man's armor. It cannot be broken and it cannot be taken away.”
You make your way across the street to the store of the Merchant Hecrule. Kerowyn senses that your party is there for more than just supplies. "Greetings, travelers, or adventurers as you may be; you are welcome here. We have all the supplies you could need." She continues, "Or perhaps you are interested in adventurer's work? My daughter and son left on an adventure of their own to explore the ruins at the base of the ravine along the Old Road a month ago, and have not returned since. I wish to ask you to return them to me; if as I fear that is not possible, I ask that you at least return their signet rings to me. I will offer 125 gold for each ring; should my children be returned in good shape of mind and body, I offer to double the reward."

"Madam, first may I offer our sympathies? And in truth, we," indicating the group now in the merchant's shop, "are indeed going to this Sunless Citadel, and if we can will endeavour to find your children."
Oswald produces a business card and holds it, nervously. "I believe we may need some, err supplies though. Perhaps we could come to some sort of arrangement? A discount maybe? The supplies we buy would help us in either finding them or bringing you closure."
Stepping forward, Oswald extend his hand to Kerowyn and holds out his card, "Should you need any work undertaken, I'm sure we could work out a reciprocal discount."
"If you accept this mission then yes, I believe I can provide a discount on supplies." (You may buy standard non-magical rations and equipment from her at half the listed price.)

"Since Oswald failed to introduce us, the names Alexander Wenzel Eusebius Beaumont, you just call me Alex. This here is Irina, and the dragonborn's name is Hunhow. We do indeed take up the mission and thank you for the discount. More than anything though, we need any information on the Citadel you may have.

"Sadly I do not know much; it is said that the goblins make it their home, and perhaps much worse, but I have no real information about it aside from where it is. You may find it at the bottom of the great ravine where the Old Road first passes by it."
Browsing the many shelves Oswald settles on an healers kit, hooded lantern, 2 flasks of oil and a small bag of ball bearings. Carrying his items back to Kerowyn and the group, he sets them down. "Dear lady, I believe these will be of use to us, would 7 gold pieces suffice as payment? When you have had chance to mull over my card and services, I shall not forget this generosity."
Turning to the rest of the group and lowering his voice so Kerowyn cannot hear "I believe taking care of injury may be our most pressing concern on this venture. We should make full use of this kind offer."
Irina smiles at the Madam Hucrele, "Thank you for the assistance, I swear I will do my best to find your children, I was wondering something, did they travel into the citadel alone or did they have other people with them? Were your children skilled fighters or merely curious?"
"My children traveled with two others; a ranger called Karakas and a paladin, Sir Braford. My children were curious but not defenseless, my son is a skilled fighter and my daughter an aspiring wizard. But the fact that they haven't returned yet..."
Oswald, who has been busying himself storing his new belongings into his pack, looks up at the group. "Quite so, Madam. But unless any of us have further business here, we should make our way to this citadel and begin our search. What say you?"
Seeing the worried look on the merchant's face, Irina will step forward and place a hand on her shoulder. "We'll find your children, worry not"; she turns Oswald and nods in agreement, before asking Lady Hucrele, "How long is the journey?"
"Thank you... By the Old Road it is about a day's travel from Oakhurst to the ravine. I could provide a cart but not animals to pull it, I'm afraid; you may have to go by foot."
"Walking it is. Madam, we will not delay our trip any longer." Oswald gives a courteous bow then turns to the rest of the group, dropping his voice "We all done here? A days walk? You long legs don't know how good you have it."
"Let's be on our way". Chuckling at her diminutive friend's comment, she looks outside estimate to estimate the time of day trying to get a sense of whether they will need to camp overnight while traveling to the citadel.
It is mid-day; you will probably need to camp for the night along the way.
It is early summer, so you won't have to worry about the cold at least.
You embark on the Old Road towards the ravine where the Sunless Citadel is said to be. It is only an hour into your trip that you encounter a fellow traveler on the road: an elf in fancy, some would say gaudy, clothes is ahead of you, sitting on a tree stump by the side of the road, playing a viol.
(We have a new player; I'll let him introduce himself now.)
As Blaze plays his Viol with a soft and slow melody that some would consider beautiful, his thoughts drift from the topic of home, his incident, and then to his happiness of being independent. Blaze pauses quickly to look up and see the traveling party on the Old Road. He straps his viol on his back, pushes his short deep red hair back and rises from the stump he was just sitting on. "Greetings fellow travelers, I am Blaze, Blaze Lightsinger. I hope my playing of the melodies didn't disturb you. Where are you people off to?" He gives a warm smile. He is 5'6", light orange skin, bright yellow eyes, and his armor a nice shade or reddish orange.
